I quite liked the beginning and premise. Especially the fact that the protagonist really acts and feels old, but later on the novel really drops in quality.

The Plot started out simple and easy to follow but is becoming more and more incoherent.

Beasts, aware tester npc's, unaware story npc's (gods?) who can also awaken themselves?, demons/players that play in the world as if it is a game, non-awakened (locked) humans and awakened humans/meta-players. System created dungeons and actual real dungeons based on earth history that existed from before the system?

A absolutely great Chinese novel, comparable to everyone else is a returnee in the plot but it delivers a good story.

the entire story is interesting and don't get turned of because some of the game elements that are introduced since it actually isn't lazy writing but has purpose. I've read dozens of web novels but this one would definitely be in my top 5 with greats like Warlock of the magus world, stellar transformation and everyone else is a returnee. Really a recommend to try this out

Well I managed to finished the jumbled mess of a novel.

Overall, this novel is more of a time waster and it also seems like the author gave up half way about incorporating any logic into it.

Often time the story flow is to abrupt and the pacing is all over the place. This is clearly shown at around chapters 300 onwards where the things that happens seems too coincidental and not natural at all. Which really break the immersion into the story.

I quite like the beginning of the story but when Gods Divine realm is introduced and time started once again things don't sense anymore there are players but it seems like they are not humans from Earth with already millions of magic stone at the start, human lock, artificial intelligence (players body) and imposing realm it looks like author is adding new things that don't merge well and is kinda confusing.

After the free chapters it immediately becomes worse than machine translation. I found the raws, and the google translate makes more sense than the nonsense uploaded on webnovel.

I don't know wtf they are saying half the time (ie. all your skills will be upgraded to level one when the raws is literally 'all skill levels +1 [所有技能等级+1]').

It also translated "But the beast was not dead yet. The man said..." to "The man said before he died", I'm not sure if the TL is actually fluent in English, it's like an... more>> editor/PR fixed up the punctuation of nonsense and uploaded it.

TL;DR: It's like the TL deliberately made it worse than MTL for no reason, don't fall for this scam.

The ending is amazing, and the biggest mysteries were all explained. I especially liked the side stories, which were not translated and included the epilogue that explained why Wei Huo was so special. <<less

It started out interesting with a similar setting to Everybody else is a returnee but it quickly deteriorated in the later half.

I did like it so I will push through to the end and complete it and it's comparatively short for a cn so give it a try maybe.

Story fluctuates between 2.5-3.3 stars.
