One day, her father gave her a sl*ve boy. He said he saved him from the battlefield because of his good looks.

“He has a seal engraved on his heart. As long as you have this bead, he won’t be able to disobey you. So you can order him to do anything.”

“Sit down.”

The boy looked rather grim after hearing what she ordered.

“Ah, was I treating him too much like a dog?” As her father squeezed the bead, the boy then knelt at her feet.

“Master”

His red eyes flashed, illuminating his eerie gaze while smiling madly.

He was the darkest of the darkest one. The future grand wizard and final boss of this world.

“Well, you’re all that’s left now, Master.”

And then, at the age of 22, he awoke as the Master of the Magic Tower and took revenge by killing her entire house.

“Do you want to live? Then sit down, Master.”

The eerie red eyes turned to her.

‘Why is he like this to me?! I tried my best to treat him properly!’

So, I was reading the manhwa and some people are saying they are impatient and cant wait so they are opting to read the novel instead. I just want to comment things so you dont need to search chapter by chapter. Currently, Chapter 23 of the webtoon is Chapter 26 of the translated novel.

The point I'm basing at is when she summoned the spirit bird to clear the air of hallucinating drugs in the dungeon cells for the s*aves.

its a really good read. Dont be fooled by the illiterate people who misunderstood the story.

ML does not kill randomly. He does not kill for no reason. Even MC recognizes this.
btw, its not smut. The r15 is probably for initial gore and the psychological torment/ depictions of cruelty that the MC faced at the hand of her own father. The initial chapters cause you to misunderstand the direction of the story.
this story deals with emotional trauma and there is even a kind duke that wants to treat MC and ML well since they are both a little emotionally cut off due to abuse. MC even acknowledged that she knew ML would never hurt her since the story trajectory changed. Also, she and ML are the ones that understand eachother best.
if you do read this I hope you try to understand the mc's pov. Even though the story starts with her being an adult, she has long forgotten her past life and just wants to live in this world safel and her current character was molded out of her circumstance. She never calls anyone by their name or gets close to others since she feels it is inevitable that they will die since her father would kill anything she had affection for. The kind duke is like a therapist or pov that points this out to readers.

anyway, dont hate on the ML without fully analyzing his character and actually reading past the initial chapters. He gets more development after the MC leaves the tower. MC even acknowledges that he is a strong shield for her since he can protect her.
wether you love or hate this read its up to your mentality. But I enjoy the realistic perspective and the slightly gloomy and stunted emotional quotient of the characters. Not everyone is op and takes control of the situation. There is a term called learned helplessness where people cant escape abuse so they tolerate it and become numb and shut down which I think really applies to this chara. The transmigration is probably to reduce the child abuse element of the novel by saying its abuse but atleast she is mentally an adult. Ignore the transmigration and think of it as her fully melding with the character she possesses because it is not about memories. She has lived through the abuse molding her current self for years.

I read it bcuz of yandere tags, also the beautiful cover, but... it was not something I could relate to even a bit. Since there was not a single thing in the story to keep me reading, not even smut 😑

Anyway,

it was good at first but now I know how nonesense and shallow the characters were writen. ☹ a disappointing author.

Seriously, don't read it.

❌FL and ML are both insane, no everyone in novel are crazy people. Please don't read it.😖😨💢❌

But thanks for good translation, the only good point.🧡

This story is the most accurate depiction of long-term/lifelong trauma that I've ever seen in text. Everything from the protagonist's "wooden" expressions to her refusal to call things by their names to both her AND the ML operating as if help is a thing that doesn't exist. It was actually a little startling to read because it felt like a personal callout at times, lol.

I agree with the other reviewers that it's critical to recognize the protagonist as an unreliable narrator. The manhwa makes it easier to see this by... more>> showing the thoughts and expressions of the other characters more frequently. Throughout the novel - especially the early chapters - she says a lot that is later proven not to be true, both about herself and the ML.

This story is kinda weird. I cant tell if I enjoyed it or got bored with it.

Why is it weird? Because it features all the traits of a cliche isekai story, dense protag (Conveniently forgeting stuff from the novel) , harem (2 guys are obsessed with her and she doesn't care for ether), op powers, animal companion, but thru the lense of a poor tortured soul. Its kinda depressing to read but not that bad if your into that kinda thing.

Idk know how to feel about this story. 🤔 But... more>> at the point where I left off the pacing was getting unbearably slow and I thought about dropping the story altogether. <<less
