It's sweet, funny and consensual.

I dropped it halfway through the spice because for whatever reason the author just kept going on about metaphors such as ships, tunnels, ice cream and spoons.

Understanding what was going on was already hard with the flower petals but at this point I don't have the energy to try and draw a picture when I just see actual ships in my mind.

Cute!! Story just as summary. MC is an adorable cutie pie that dress up everyday in a hope for a big gong to notice him, unknowingly to him the butcher from his neighborhood's supermarket has been watching him. ML is so thirsty and obsessed hahaha, good for him MC later shared the feelings. I like that that the author made them down on earth characters like instead of CEO or aristocrat wealthy bla bla bla they're just simple ordinary characters: office worker, butcher, shop assistant... Romance started because the ML was always looking at our little peacock. Nothing creepy at least for me since he never acted upon his desires until the MC deliberately provoked him. He's very down to earth and very conscious that he's not academically apt or rich enough for our little Peacock.

This is why I loved our peac*ck and the Butcher's Dynamic. The peac*ck doesn't need any fancy accessories since he can provide it himself. He just wants a man that notices and appreciate the beauty he worked hard to Achieve. Our Butcher ML Tu Lian was perfect for that. Like Hot Damn he counted the MC's outfit.

AND ON THIS NOTE I WOULD LIKE TO HYPE THE SIDE STORY OF OUR MC'S BEST FRIEND AKA CHU YAO. MTL Title is Black Velvet since YaoYao likes stockings.

The Author's style of writing is pretty simple. No fancy twists and stuff, but I love how realistic it was. No OP characters, just a slow dance between the couple to their happy ending.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ chefs kiss!

I've been reading Yaoi/BL novel for years now and you might ridicule me for saying this but in my opinion this is the most proper Boy's love novel that I've read so far, the story didn't start off by focusing on their Smut scenes, The romance and flirtations are there, gosh I suddenly miss reading stories like this, despite of how strong their attraction was towards each other they didn't just start doing the deed somewhere, they didn't just start hooking up without properly weighing up each others... more>> emotions, instead they took each opportunity to flirt, tho the MC is thirsty, the ML is more thirsty than him. 🤣 Im not gonna say more just read it and have fun lol 💗 <<less

Very cute and sweet (and smutty). I really love both characters so much as they're both really cute in their own ways. The shou is pretty funny sometimes, and the gong is just *chef's kiss*

As some other reviews have said, I really like that this story is about two ordinary people (at least, ordinary compared to most danmei). No ultra-rich CEOs or anything, just an office worker and a butcher.

One thing to note is that there is quite a lot of buildup leading up to the smut. Once the two... more>> of them do get around to doing the deed, there's a ton of foreplay before the "main event" so to speak. About 2/3 of the novel is one single s*x scene. I thought it was quite cute and well written, but don't go in expecting smut right away.

Also, the translation is very good and easy to read imo. :) <<less

Read for smut but turned out to be a cute love story between an earnest butcher gong and a lively peac*ck shou.

Smut 3.5/5, didn’t really do it for me.

A very cute and spicy story. I think I will re read it a lot of times.

What I liked was how down to earth it was. The MC is just like me, a hopeless romantic. He is so cute!! He puts a lot of care into his appearance every day, wanting to attract a lover. He probably reads too much novels.

The butcher has been fascinated by the MC ever since he saw him. I liked his character very much, he is very humble.

The novel is sooo gooood!!! Given that the author wrote it without an outline and with eyes closed lolXD

The novel is descriptive and progressive, not the typical meaty H scenes where the chara's suddenly drive when their eyes meet.

At first I can't imagine a butcher as an ML. But since it is written well, the story makes me hooked. The ML has slightly inferiority complex due to their different status and I love how he treasures the MC 💕

It was... okay? Not to ny liking, but it wasn't that bad. Not that great either.

They were quite cute together and author took their time to try and give us a natural (more or less) progression to the meat. The TL also worked hard.
