It’s been 30 years since the world became connected to a place known as the Frontier.
Countries from all over the world started exploring the Frontier in search of new resources.

Now, if one has the appropriate qualifications, even civilians can pass through the gate and go to the Frontier.
A new profession was born that involves bringing back resources and selling them.
That profession is the [Adventurer].

Being an [Adventurer] is fraught with danger, but the rewards are also great.
In a world where such things have become the norm, there was a man who had no connection to any of it.
This man would go to his usual job and finish his work as always… or so he couldn’t.

“Okita-kun, you don’t need to come in from tomorrow.”

That single sentence changed the life of a man who had been aiming for a normal life.

Okita, who barely had any savings, decided to become an [Adventurer] in order to make a living.
And during his first adventure, he acquired a skill unlike anything he’d ever seen or heard of.

That was [Alchemy].

From this moment on, the ordinary life of Hajime Okita began to shine with gold.
And at the same time, the [Golden Witch], who would break the common sense of the world, was born.

Keep in mind this is a comedy series, the goals seems to be goofball does something, misses some detail or 2 in his plans, this causes issues he has to deal with.

The MC is overworked at a black company, and fired but blackmailed into saying he quit.

He decides to become an adventurer as he has no real qualifications for anything, and it is an option after contact with another world was made.

When he acquires his skill on traversing to the other world he gets a special rare/unique skill in Alchemy,... more>> this does not show up in the records, but it allows him to make items that are currently only available as rare drops, and some not at all.

He decided to use it to sell healing potions since he can get in the ingredients, including a bottle, for less then 500 Yen but they sell for 1000 times the cost or more (prices fluctuate).

Realizing that selling a lots of potions could be problematic, he decided to make a fake identity to sell them, using a gender change potion. But runs into problems when he goes to sell some and raises red flags because he tries to sell to many at once and doe snot know you need an adventurer registration to sell items (he only has his own, and this might have been omitted in his explanation as the receptionist explaining the rules was someone he knew from school who told him to deal with her exclusively).

Basically the MC is not thinking everything through, gets easily caught because he goes ot the same receptionist in both forms wit the same bag and the same outdated phone (and the same initial skills) and the rest seems to be him and the receptionist trying to use his abilities to make money without explaining the source of his items. The local guild appears to be keeping the secret because they get a small but not insignificant percentage of the sale price for anything he sells through them, and well he can make items in bulk worth a lot of funds, his first auctioned items go about 180, 000, 000 yen and the guild takes 5% of that.

More issues emerge because of side effects of other items, MC takes that grants translation powers, but doe not realize until it is to late that it makes anyone listening to him (even over air) hear what he is saying in EVERY language they speak simultaneously. Which causes more rumors, as the first auction's items are so unbelievable that a news interview is kind of demanded, and well bilingual people watch it leading to new rumors. <<less

Not a Harem Story

Long Story short.

MC is Pushover guy.

He's been overworked in black company, then got fired > Decided to became Adventurer > He have a very good swordskill because he's been training since childhood (does not important) > Got Alchemy skill and instantly became Idiot > Can't handle 19 years old girl.

Also, his girlfriend is smart but also idiot in one way or another

While basic idea is quite nice and original enough, execution is terrible.
Novel is poorly written, author can't decide on main character personality, it changes all the time, so it fells artificial.
World building is pretty bad, and “frontier” fells too game like, to fit novel setting.
Whole idea that dungeons exists for 30 years, and no one noticed and leaked fact that there are hidden skills, is broken, like rest of the novel.
Author forcefully tries to lower novel age ratting, so it feels extremal child like and not realistic, and that completely dosn't fit the setting.
Women are portrayed like dumb animals, just thinking about how much money male makes, to capture him and life luxurious life using his money, doing nothing.
Character relations are completely broken, and dumb. Like yeah you are most popular receptionist, but somehow you can find no partner, poor and broke colleague, that you didn't see for 4 years, enters building and right away you thinking about marring him (they were never dating in the past).
And lots and lots of plot holes.
