A BIG, HARD 1 STAR

WHY?

-ML is aware of the FL's weakness and still fully listens to his desires and has s*x with her every night.

-The writing is very cheap. Characters are flat, don't have any personality in them. I can't feel any emotions from this story. Normally I'm in for every protective character but they're all like soulless dolls.

-Dropped at chapter 65: Nothing different was happening, sex-sickness-sex-sickness-sex-s... just that. No plot at all. Chapters are so short that I can't even call them chapters btw.

Don't waste your time on this.

This is the utmost caricature of the worse in that registerer (lucky no r*pe but quite a bit of dubious consent - but everything setting is horrendous)

the female is a noble girl from a family that neglected her, she’s sick and weak, she’s passive, has not personality, can’t say no, always endure too much, oh yes, pf course she’s always very ashamed and blushes very much to show how bad she is... but she bakes ! (One has to do something in life? Why would a female ned brawl... more>> a, d brain anyway : she’s just a hole)

the male is an upper noble with many disease : his is socially inept (yup another monster /devil that terrifies everyone), his crazy jealous (like the kind who can’t share cookies : hello, you should learn that before 5 years old ! He is so pathological that he’s probably not even going to tolerate his own future children !) - of, course a s€x maniac with an appetite that even blue pills can’t emulate (yup should eat chaste berries as peper at everything meal : easy !) - because he « cares » for his « sickly wife «, of course he forbids her to do anything (healthy,) : so no working, and no more baking : quote « it’s good enough she accepts him every day « (and by « him » he mean his monstrous peepee (yeah the bottom side of the monster)

of course there’s not plot, so there’s plenty (repetitive) smut : understand, both characters have zero experience from the start : but he knows all has all kind of fantasy, play her like a super toy >while she... enjoy ? also ?

I repeat it’s the worst : so for her it’s shameful (her parts, juices, pleasure, thoughts : what a bad girl : I mean she does have a xxx right ?) For him it’s dirty desire (of course he had intense p*rno ed with medieval yinternet ?)

- for her it’s always painful (but she still likes it) - for him it’s unbearable and he can’t stop the rage even if he wants to because she’s sick and all (but she ask for it anyway !)

so I thought it was a Chinese crap, but no - bad things can be produced anywhere - not only is there no respect of female, (or male for what I care) - it’s a very very sad way to depict intimacy <<less

Ok... I'm... hahahaha, Ok ok... I'm happy and sad at this novel

When the frikken plot gets incredibly interesting, we get Hot, Steamy, Sexy Smut.

When you're enthralled with the smut, it suddenly stops and the plot starts to get incredibly interesting again.

It's like the author managed to make the perfect blue ball circle, one for the plot, one for the smut, it's never enough of both, and still you keep reading and reading and reading and reading...

I'm trapped reading this novel and I can't escape!

Anyways if you love smut this will be your cup of tea because this one is mostly focus on the relationship status of the ML and FL.

  • She is a sickly FL. She doesn't have any social life or well known positive info in the society due to being sicked.
  • She has a terrible father who only cares about the status of their family.
  • Even if she was terribly ab*sed verbally. (At least it's not a physical ab*se compare to other novels.) She have her own opinion and mind but she try to compress it due to her good nature.
Reuben to Raven as it was changed already by our translator-nim.

  • He is the ML and he is known as brutal and can kill easily without being a blink. That's why everyone is scared of the duke.
  • Well personally for me he has a good personality but this novel is still not in half so I will still wait for the character development.
  • Is he handsome, maybe normal face because his looks was not explained that much. But who care at least its much more realistic this way.
For this story I rank it 3 and a half star. It's enough for now because it's still not finish and I'm somewhere on 40+chapters I think.

I think the positive and negative side of this story is the smut. If you hate smut avoid this already because most chapters have bed scenes. But if you love smuts this will be for you mate! *Wink.

The translation is great!

My heart beats last night while I read this! It was really good and I was smiling to the interaction of the ML and FL.

ill update as I go, but seeing no reviews I thought I would leave one. the translation is done very well, and the movement of the story reminds me a bit of Lucy. Romance and smut melded together. And so far everything is a pleasant read. nothing heavy as of yet. Although I want to set her father on fire. I find the duke to be endearing, and molitia herself to be an enduring character... enough so that I wish she would just tell someone when she hurts or needs... more>> help... the duke has a long road ahead I suppose? all in all I recommend, and am looking forward to the continued translation. <<less

very repetitive. From the smut, dialogue, characters... its like reading the same thing over and over again.

Ppl say the ML isnt r*pey, bur he does sort of force himself onto FL. He knows she’s weak because of her condition or whatever, and he just disregards that for pleasure. What an animal. And afterwards, he gets all worked up over her physical health and being generally overprotective and obsessive, as if he isnt the reason she’s like this? He needs to get a f*cking grip

if you just want something to binge... more>> without getting invested, or just something to add to your list, then this novel is ok. But in any other circumstance, its a bland and shitty story <<less

Translation is done very good. It is story about unhealthy and weak girl molitia with mysterious character duke. Duke somehow married her..... Her family doesn't care about her. She has no hope for herself but I think she is going gain the hope after marrying the duke. This novel is a combination of smut and romance genre. It is a good story until now.

60% bed scenes

30% FL being sick

10% plot of the story

So The other reviews here has a point lmao but it is still smut. We rarely recieve translated mature tag novels. Read it to quench your boredom but dont expect a lot. Just like the other reviews had said. The world here only revolves to the ML and FL. Too many flat characters.

And as the conflict of the story? Generic issue of abusive family and just the FL being sick. That's it. (*￣з￣)

This was a very very sweet story and I always looked forward to it updating. I'm actually a little sad that its ended. First I'll mention that it's very well translated as always from Sleepy Translations. It's a simple falling in love story with a physically weak MC and a loving and doting ML with some smut for spice. The smut was fine but I honestly feel it could have been left out and I would have liked it a touch better imo. There is really nothing huge or earth... more>> shattering or extreme plots to be unraveled and the little bit of mystery there is is very easy to figure out. However thats why I liked this story it's very simple and to the point. It's much more charming then I thought it would be and I loved the MC and MLs dynamics together. I'm sure this isn't everyones cup of tea but if you enjoy a sweet love story with a pair that truly grow to love each other and have a good relationship even before the love then you'll like this. <<less

I wanted so much to like this story, but I'm just so bored at this point. Nothing of substance is really happening here. For example, if all the s*x scenes were "fade to black, " this story would probably be no more than ... more>>

He also makes/convinces her have s*x in public places, or when visiting other places than their home, or when people are listening right outside the door. She's so afraid of getting caught and yet he continues anyway.

Although, there's smut scattered through out the novel, I can't help as a reader cringe when I read about how sick the FL is. Kind of takes out the enjoyment in knowing that.

I understand why the FL is always hiding her sickness, fragility and any bad news to her husband and everyone around, but it really gets annoying all the way to the end of the series. Sure, her own family thought she was a lost cause that took up too much time, cost, and etc. But by the umpteenth... more>> chapter, she should know that her husband doesn't mind?

Also, the story in the beginning keeps harping on how sick she is and how dangerous and mysterious her mixed blood husband to be is. Yet, the husband came off as a typical ML from an old Regency Romance novel.

For the most part, the FL is portrayed as kind and willing to help others, but is extremely sick. However, other than that, her character portrayal is not very in-depth for everyone who meets her to love her. In fact, I really can't understand how the ML's faithful knight & butler would rather lie to their Lord for her. Isn't that like betrayal in those times, even if the FL is the Duchess?

The majority of the series is Slice of Life with the FL being sick, hiding her sickness, and then interspersed with smut in random places for the sake of trying to garner new heat. It isn't until the end, that there is a villain or some sort of plot to create tension and danger.

Overall, it's not a horrible story, but it's one that can be quickly red to the end and then forgotten. <<less

Sooo, I actually mostly enjoyed this, but there is a lot to dislike at the same time. For example:

Was there a present plot? Loosely. And for what there was, the characters were pretty uninvolved.

Did it have a good pace? Not really until the end. I also thought the first volume or whatever needed very abruptly and may as well have not been a thing.

Was there character development? Sort of? They had it, but it left them little different from where they started. They sort of just gained self awareness than... more>> anything else.

And smut? Well... It was kind of annoying to be honest. I liked how they did not use vulgar words constantly and the couple actually interacted during. But it got old fast. It was practically every day, and it went on for and average of THREE chapters. I mean come on, if you are going to act like you have more to offer as a book at least offer more.

So long story short. I enjoyed it but also skipped a lot because it was repetitive. I really enjoyed the ending though. And liked how they ended it again with the extra chapters. It was very sweet and fulfilling. <<less

It is nothing special. It is intriguing at the beginning, but then it just gets so repetitive that it's boring. Also, the FL has little or insignificant character development. Moreover, there's too many inconsistencies with how the Duke is supposed to be powerful but somehow is unable to effectively protect and help his wife. A lot of the repetitive themes are also problematic, namely, dubious consent, ab*se, FL always experiences pain during interc**rse (yo, if you keep experiencing pain during interc**rse, you're doing something wrong or you have a... more>> medical condition that needs to be looked after).

The translations are great, but the writing and the plot development will make you want to drop this. <<less

This story reminded me of Lucia because they had a similar vibe. Both MLs were described as bloodthirsty yandere but I think Raven (ML from this story) was considered amiable compared to Hugo (ML from Lucia). It's mentioned that Raven was feared by all but throughout the story, I couldn't see that at all. Many people still boldly schemed against him and MC and his subordinates were also could joke with him freely without any fear. So where was the infamous bloodthirsty yandere duke?

As for his relationship with MC, he... more>> was rather quick to warm up to MC considering he married MC for political reason. It didn't take long for him to become a devoted husband who prioritized MC above all.

What about MC? MC's character wasn't that memorable but I still like her growth the most in this story. She was initially a pushover but after marrying ML, she tried to become stronger, to the point of severing her ties with her toxic family.

This novel had a quite share of sm*t scenes but the sm*t was kinda repetitive so I ended up skipping most of the sm*t out of boredom but overall, this story was still quite enjoyable to read. <<less

As usual from this group, the translation is great.

However, the story itself is lacking. It goes through cycles of smut and plot, which is fine---but it is largely repetitive. The smut scenes are all very similar to each other and the plot is slow moving, which makes the story seem very stagnant. At this point are we only starting to actually see hints of a potential grand conspiracy.

While there is progression that happens, it also seems kind of like expected checkpoints being reached without a lot of logical or emotional... more>> development as to why--it's hard to feel the chemistry between the two characters, because the nature of their relationship hasn't changed. We have the pretty classic motivation of "Look at this weak cute thing I must nurture" from the ML and "Wow this guy doesn't scream at me OR hit me! And his d*ck is magic!" from the FL, but it never really moves beyond that, making a lot of the fluffier scenes seem more obligatory and empty than genuinely romantic.

In addition, the character development is... not. The author tries to show development by having the characters act more assertive, or more gently but it feels forced. <<less

The s*x scenes are so repetitive, like I'm over 100 chapters in and it's like... nothing has actually happened in this story beyond her being ill/fainting, sort of recovering, s*x again to the point of illness/fainting... rinse and repeat. I'm only following to see what the story is with the very sus medicine she drinks. I know there's plot there somewhere (about her family... maybe, I dunno?!). Between slow and short chapter releases (no blame, grateful for what we get!) and lengthy bouts of samey sloppy s*x (featuring her being... more>> embarrassed, him basically doing her to near-death it seems), I forget who the other characters are half the time.

I love a good smut when it's spicing up the plot, but it feels like it's the other way around here. FL is so frail and weak and defenceless, half the time I'm picturing a dribbling sickly toddler... sort of makes the smut very hard to swallow... <<less

I was actually planning on giving 5 stars but reading the other comments did remind me that plot wise there isn't much going on, and considering it's almost 200 chapters long that's not good. I am fine with the smut, but with the plot being like that, it could've been much shorter. I feel like there was some character development, especially from FL, but again, could've done better with how long it was.

I would say it was an enjoyable read, but I'm not sure I would read it all over... more>> again <<less

This was... actually very sweet? I must admit I wasn't sure what to expect from a story with such a title (which is ultimately misleading as hell - never once did Molitia say or even think such words), but a fluffy love story about two people madly in love with each other wasn't quite it, and I'm glad it turned out that way. Forget brooding, angsty and cold MLs as is typical of this genre - Raven is much more of an overprotective, fluffy worrywart than you'd expect and isn't... more>> shy about showering Molitia with care an affection (and s*x, lol).

The plot itself is extremely average and predictable, but no one is going to be reading this for the plot - you're here for the romance (and the smut... of which there is a lot), and both were actually done pretty well?

To begin with, let's get one thing straight - the relationship between the two leads develops quickly, is absolutely consensual on both ends and quickly turns into an absurdly lovey-dovey, supportive couple who are head over heels for each other and can barely keep their hands off each other. Yes, it doesn't immediately start as fluffy as it's an arranged marriage (but neither hates it either), but it gets there rather quickly.

Yes, the Duke can be absurdly overprotective and overbearing at times (especially at first), but that's honestly because Molitia's condition is that bad. She can barely remain on her feet for a few hours without getting dizzy spells bordering on blackouts, she is always chilly and liable to catch a cold on moment's notice, she gets nosebleeds from simply sitting at a desk doing paperwork - and she is absolutely adamant about hiding how badly she feels at any given moment, so Raven is absolutely justified in his paranoia and restricting her at times - because she is the sort who will insist she is feeling absolutely fine up until the last second before she faints from sickness, and will try to do things when she should objectively be in bed resting instead.

And no, I see some other reviews saying Raven chooses to have s*x with her anyway despite her feeling sick - no, that absolutely never happens (aside from the fact that she is always kinda sick, if you want to count that, at which point she should never have s*x, because it will never not be strenuous for her - which absolutely isn't what Molitia wants), except at the very start of their marriage when he still didn't know how frail her constitution actually was, as she was doing her damnedest to hide anything was wrong with her, regardless how much medicine she had to secretly gulp down and pretend, because she was convinced she would be abandoned if he found out how 'defective' she was.

Which did ultimately lead to her being bedridden for a week+ after a few particularly intense lovemaking sessions, at which point the extent of her frailness was realized and Raven was too scared to even get into the same bed as her afterwards. She was the one who had to convince him to ultimately return to their shared bed and that it's ok to hold her, because she actually wants to be intimate with him as well (Raven may be the more h**ny one, but they are very much h**ny together in this).

But he has never forced himself on her, never mind when she's sick (after he becomes aware of it), does his best to look out for her, has stopped immediately the one or two times she actually felt too crummy to do anything sexy and told him so - and she is perfectly capable of initiating intimacy on her own the few times when she feels like doing it and Raven is holding back too much for her liking - because again, she very much loves him and very much likes being intimate with him as well. If her frail body could handle it, they would be doing it a whole lot more as they both want it.

So all in all? This was an unexpectedly wholesome romance story with an idiot couple madly in love with each other, and I wasn't expecting that. The plot is whatever, but for the romance and smut this is a good read. <<less
