An Xing was reborn to the time before the truth came to light, and he was still the young master of a wealthy family, and was highly favored.

But he knows that soon the truth that he and the Real Young Master were mistakenly switched will spread, and he is the one who occupied the magpie’s nest. He will be hostile to the Real Young Master, and be despised by his family, which will make him a joke in the upper class circle.

There are two paths before him, to find the real young master, or to continue to enjoy the rich life of the An family.

An Xing, who had died once and realized that life is like a play, stroked the little curly hair, with lingering fear: He was ashamed of this throne, and whoever loves to sit on it will sit on it bla bla bla!

Facing his cousin’s provocation again, An Xing entered the scene in a second, weeping sadly: “I know my cousin thinks I’m s*upid, I don’t understand anything, I don’t look like a child of An’s family, and I don’t deserve to work in the family’s company. It’s me who has been presumptuous, thinking of contributing to dad’s burden a little …… I’d better go!”

Cousin with an ulterior motive: ?

Handing the paternity test results to the An family couple, An Xing sat on the side and forced a smile:

“Since I’m not your child, it’s better to get your real child back quickly, and I’ll move out as well.”

Shocked to the point of speechlessness, the An Family couple: ??

Finally finding the real young master, An Xing came to the door with a small package and carefully said: “I’ve returned all the pocket money your parents gave me, and since we’re in the wrong family, I should be the outsider, right?”

Real Young Master, who was unprepared to be dragged out of the house he had lived in for twenty years: ???

With the real young master inheriting the family business, An Xing had no more psychological pressure and sat by the square with a small bag on his back, whistling and painting people to earn money. The news of his departure traveled back to the An family, and the An family exploded.

Father An was so furious that he was going to flip up: Nonsense! My family can still afford to raise two sons!

Mother A clutched the handkerchief in tears: Xingxing you do not want mother, mother’s heart hurts!

Real young master who was also all awkward: I’ll treat you as my own brother, you can stay.

An Xing: 0-0

*

Lu Tianshen grew up with a strict family upbringing and grew up without a stir into the heir of a wealthy family. The only out of the ordinary thing he had done was to fight against his family for three years and request to be engaged to that little fool from the An family.

Even if that little fool didn’t know anything, even if he later learned that the little fool was the fake young master of the wrong family, Lu Tianshen didn’t care.

He stayed behind the little fool and waited for him to get the hang of it. He waited for the little fool to become a drama king, tolerated the little fool’s s*upidity, and also solved all the wolf cubs that coveted the little fool.

When all the dust settled, the little fool came over with two bright eyes and said: “Brother Shen, since I’m not born to the An family, shouldn’t we break off the engagement and become good brothers again?”

Lu Tian Shen: ……

Just right.

I like how wholesome the characters are. It’s so common in Chinese novels with swapped at birth children plots to be pretty unreasonable, as if years of bonding with your child and familial love suddenly don't matter because there is no blood relationship. And it’s nice to see characters who value bonds of friendship and aren’t just scheming to get money out of a rich person.

It's a fresh take on swapped true/fake young master where neither of them are nefarious and actually become good brothers.

Also putting in a review to retort the exaggerated negative comment about ML. As of ch 58, the ML has been pleasant. He is also close to the An family and has their interest in mind with his actions and often helps them.

ML doting spoiler

Spoiler

He is also quick to understand Xingxing's thoughts and reservations about the An family. On ch 54, Xingxing was talking about moving out of his school dormitory and not being able to afford a place since he wants to use his own money so that he won't trouble his adoptive parents.

ML (Lu Tianshen) knows that this is because Xingxing subconsciously feels that he has no family to rely on when he is wronged. Instead of taking advantage of it and letting Xingxing only depend on him, he reminds him and lets him know that the An family is still his family, and that they all love him.

I have a few points where I don't agree with the early reviewer. In fact, reading their review I almost didn't read the story myself, but thank lord I did.

From their review what turned me off the most was the character of the male lead, but they have exaggerated everything to the extreme and rather than putting things into perceptive they have focused only on the negetive things, while discarding all his good qualities.

First of all lets talk about the plot of the story

Spoiler

They story is actually pretty nicely paced and the tempo is neither to fast or too slow. In my opinion, it is just right. Our MC and the Og young master turned out to be switched at birth by the scheming of the Og young master's relatives. The story starts with the rebirth of the MC who is the fake young master. What I actually like is the fact that MC got reborn only a month or so prior to his death which was also a scheme of the OG young master's relatives schemes. I honestly think that if it was years prior of something the plot would have derailed and the story would have lost focus from the central theme. Plus, readers would have spent a lot of time complaining that MC is from future, he should take advantage of this and that blah blah lah... So, to me, it was a nice thing that the author was extremely focused to the plot they introduced. Anyway, the story has a proper beginning, middle, climax and the end. The mystery behind the whole switched at birth scheme and the villains are fleshed out properly and they are not brainless. In fact, the true villain in pretty vicious and cunning. The only reason their schemes failed were because MC has gone through all their schemes in his last life and knew where to look. The rebirth wasn't in vain. It plays its role properly.

[collapse]

Moving on, let's talk about MC being "dumb and infantile". I absolutely do not agree with the adjectives used to describe MC.

Spoiler

It is true that he is a pampered young master of a rich family with loving parents, but he is not dumb. The only reason he tolerated the villain's schemes in his first life was because they haven't touched his bottom line and his family put great importance in blood relations. He was tolerant, not dumb. He is pure, not s*upid. In fact, other than his family, MC is a straight shooter and bold. He doesnt hesitate to say what's on his mind and he is NOT a s*upid pushover in the name of being a nice person. He knows how to clap back. The only reason he got stabbed in the back by his friend in uni was bcs Su Yiran is a green tea b*tch. He has many faces and knows how to hide his true face well. MC is not the only one fooled by him. All his classmates and dormmates were fooled. It wasn't that MC is s*upid. It is that the villain is a skilled manipulator. MC was raised as the young master of a rich family and was sheltered by his parents a lot, but that doesn't mean he didn't understand the intrigue and politics going around him. He is self aware about his strength and weakness. Makes his shot when he has to and is not some kind of a holy father who thinks that using his father position to get a spot in the competition is against all the morality of the world. Having opportunities is also a skill and he is absolutely confident that he can make the best use of this opportunity out of all the other candidates.

Lastly, the ML and his relationship with MC

Spoiler

Male lead is in fact one of the nicers ones from the usual bunch. He has been with MC since he was a child. Their age difference is of five years, but ML didnt fall in love with MC until MC was an adult. There is no eww he fell in love with a child thing going on here. Him and MC were best friends before they became lovers. Moreover, ML is someone who was deprived of love, care and consideration all of which was given to him by MC. Besides that, after being schemed at and having people always trying to take advantage of him and his wealth he just simply appreciated MC and his family's honeslty and purity. Love came somewhere along the way. He fell is love with MC three years before. He wasn't selfish. He wanted MC to go to college entrance exams without any distractions and post ponned his confession and then later on realised that MC is totally not aware of what 'love' is so instead of forcing him, he set out to awaken him. He didn't manipulate MC in anyway. MC was always given a choice to be with him and he accepted it on his own, not because he was s*upid but bcs he also had feelings towards male lead. He was just not aware. The whole being overly possessive and manipulative narritive is not correct. At least, not in my opinion. Its not like male lead stopped anyone from meeting MC and completelt isolated him. Moreover, MC's mother knew what he was doing was not only to help them but also to get close to her baby so she agreed bcs they all knew MC is a bit slow when it comes to those type of things.

[collapse]

Over all, I think it was a great stroy with well rounded characters and a nice plot. <<less

I love that neither the fake young master nor the real young master are villains in this story. They were babies when the switch happened, and now they're just two reasonable and kind people trying put their lives back together after a shocking revelation. Don't get me wrong, this story still has villains and face-slapping, but the two kids are both innocent.

MC is your typical idiot super-soft shou, needs help with almost everything, understands nothing, and acts like a small child.
He seems mentally handicapped and uncomfortably infantile, I got the feeling I'm reading about a 10-year-old kid, which is double uncomfortable considering that ML has romantic feelings for him while MC doesn't even understand what love/s*x is.

I would have continued anyway, but the ML gets progressively worse.
At the start he was just jealous of basically everyone MC is close to, friends aren't allowed to touch MC even when they have no romantic/s*xual interest in MC.
But later he becomes very manipulative, tricks MC into living with him in the name of promoting closeness between the real son and their parents, alienating MC.
He knows MC is an idiot and makes more and more use of that.

I have no interest in this kind of story with such a walking red flag as the ML, especially when the MC has the mental capacity and maturity of a child.

Other aspects aren't better.

Drink every time you read "almond eyes" and you'll be dead drunk by chapter 7.
Drink every time ML's superior looks are described and you'll be dead drunk by chapter 10.
The writer repeats the same descriptions every few chapters, I have no idea how often I read these two in addition to how slim MC is, his height compared to other characters', and other superficial things.

No one has a real personality, everyone acts either "mature" or "juvenile", they follow a rigid personality template that makes it impossible to differentiate between those from the same category.

The novel reads like something you expect from a young teen who's new to "yaoi" and has never written anything before, it isn't "light-hearted" but simply low quality.

Just to add something „interesting", the writer is very arrogant, she strongly declines any kind of criticism and actively says people shouldn't voice their dissatisfaction or give her writing advice.
I probably wouldn't have read it at all had I seen this before, it's a dead giveaway that the novels from this writer aren't worth the time.

MC is a cute dumping that everyone loves because of how kind and nice he is.

After being reborn he use his own ways to make his estrange brother to bond with the family.

ML never confesses and explain to MC properly where he doesn't understand what love actually is or the engagement which I don't understand why...

MC is a good designer in jewelry, watch him topple those idiots who has bad ideas against him was fun.

Hi I'm not yet reading this novel as of now, base on the comments above, the ML was in love by the MC for 3 years (most of all they know each other from childhood), and the MC was reborn 1 month before his death, then when the MC was in the Conner of his life in his past life and died.. Where were the ML in his past life when he need someone the most in his previous life? When they all know that his not the real one... more>> where is the Ml? Did he accompany him? Comfort him? Did he always by his side and protect him when they started bullying him? In the first place the MC will not died in his previous life if there's someone by his side to understand him, love him, accompany him, and protect him when his idinty reveal. And his family, .!!! <<less

Like the innocent, naive but not totally dumb MC. Cant wait when the switch is found out to see how all react to it. And cant wait for the more lovey dovey from the main CP.

I will make a guess about the baby switch. Lets see if I am right. Now I am at ch13.

Spoiler

It was the uncle that did the switch intentionally or kidnaped the child then gave it back and made the switch.

Why I think so is that the Uncle was to confident in the car when he said that he has a way.

As well even if you hear about another family having the issue of baby switch you dont go around checking that family for nothing, especially if the child in "your" family has so many characters familiar to the family. To sketchy. I read to much so now this looks like the above.

it's cute and relatively stress-free since the previous timeline where MC died wasn't recounted a lot, just glimpses here and there. MC is kind and straightforward, ML is cunning but very gentle to MC. The parents and brother are also good people. The way it's written is a bit unsatisfying, though. The writer dragged on the revelation of the culprit ... more>>
Spoiler

(no, seriously, they only suspected the criminal who knows how many chapters after they found out MC was not their biological child even though they remembered clearly the situations and the things that happened when mc's adoptive mother gave birth), and the story was filled with MC being a little peac*ck (it was cute at first but it became overdone real quick).

[collapse]

ML is cute. He becomes a pathetic strategist whenever MC is involved and mc's adoptive mother was thoroughly amused by his failures.

other things that make me feel a bit empty
Spoiler

the only people who remember their past life in which MC died are MC and his adoptive mother. So there are 3 timeline in total: the first timeline when MC died, the timeline when MC was reborn, and the timeline when MC survived the car accident. I wish there were more extras about the first timeline after mc's death.

This novel's not terrible but it ain't mind blowing either. It's ok if you're looking to waste some time, i'll say, but don't go into this thinking you're going to be mentally stimulated. There's zero creativity as in everything's been seen before. For example, there's the 'cute' s*upid ass fake rich family son MC who's dumb enough to make the real prodigal son not feel threatened, and acts way too infantile for his age (he's 20 but acts more like he's 10), literally relying on acting cute to get his... more>> way with anything. Like I said, it's not unbearable, but the author got addicted and overestimated the appeal of her character's silliness and dragged on the book for so long that I can't continue out of sheer boredom.
Spoiler

In case it's important for u I stopped reading around when MC and his friends were discussing how MC's aunt's brother plotted his friend's car crash. Like yall already goddamn knew they were shady af for so many chapters and even suspected them from the start, so why keep bringing it up every few chapters if you're not going to resolve it? To feed readers scraps of plot to keep them going in between MC acting like a baby? I really couldn't even give a sh*t anymore how they were gonna deal with it atp.

[collapse]

I'm just not very impressed by how MC keeps stressing he's not interested in the company and the real son can inherit it and always acting like he's the magpie chick to the rich family and being sensitive to real son's feelings excessively. Your own bio parents raised him well and you yourself won't even ever get to know your real parents bc they died, while real son had a good childhood then got found by his rich family. In terms of circumstances, he really has it better than you. What's with acting like bc you're not blood related to the richer family you have to consider him first in everything? Does money mean his family is more important than your own? You don't owe them sh*t bruh it's THEIR AUNT who swapped the babies and also kept your bio family poor while they were still alive. If anything their family is the burden. Anyways yeah the author kept emphasising how considerate MC was to show how good he is but honestly, adopted kids are not less important ok. Why author thought she had to write him to be so excessively defering and an angel with zero selfishness in order to be lovable kinda ticked me off sometimes. Not to say his adoptive parents didn't care for his feelings, but the fact that he felt the need to do that and it's kinda written in subtext as the right thing for MC to do was hard to stomach at times.

But there's good points other than weird morals shoved down your throat -- like I said, the adoptive family is actually pretty nice. Mom and dad are both very involved in their kids' lives which is surprising to see in a chinese novel where the father is usually just standard stoic ceo. This dad is actually pretty cute. The ML is also quite decent, I didn't like how he manipulated MC to stay with him one time by bringing up his family which he knew MC was sensitive about, implying that he was imposing on their bonding time, but at other times he was ok. I liked how MC was bold in pursuing intimacy with him after getting together, showing enthusiasm about their relationship. The adoptive brother was self righteous sometimes, but not unbearable. Overall nice family dynamics but not enough to keep me reading when half the novel is MC getting his head rubbed by someone for acting cute. That's not sustainable ms author. <<less

Still cute.

December 6, 2023
I really enjoyed it. It was a simple story plot and the antagonists and conflict were cleanly resolved.

What I really enjoyed was the MC's character. Just a bit silly and very ditzy. But smart in his own way. I didn't get annoyed at all. However, this may not be to everyone's tastes. MC has his own values and strengths. He's straightforward and treats well those who treat him well but will not want to communicate with those he doesn't like.

Make sure to read the tags.
Spoiler

But I actually thought the way MC reacts to certain situations is quite funny. For example, he only returned back to a time period one month prior to his death. And he immediately thinks he's so much more mature and changed 😂. Or how his family will be talking strategies to catch the uncle and aunt and MC meanwhile is confused but supportive.

[collapse]

It's a very cute story. I'd say read it fairly superficially. This isn't a complex type story.
