it was revealed that the ML 'dated' the FL's 'friend' in HS because he discovered the girl was actually a backstabbing two faced bit*h who only befriended the MC and used her. So instead the ML used her as a canon fodder for all the girls chasing him and actually treated her badly (he barely even considered her a gf but only as a label). But bec this girl loved the status of being the ML's gf, she spread lies and stories about how good their relationship was all throughout their HS years. In actuality, both the ML and the FL were already interested in each other but spent a lot of time not acknowledging and hiding it. The ML never approached her and only observed MC on the distance, whereas the FL's self-esteem was low because she was a late bloomer (and also has priorities). In no way does the hottest guy in HS would even notice her right? Wrong. The hottest guy in HS knew her and even knew that she was the ghost writer of the love letters he received. He felt an affinity to her because of their not-so perfect family background after hearing that the FL was staying in her uncle's family. ML's family was actually experiencing their parent's divorce and their mother's cancer at the same time.

But even still, I feel a bit uncomfortable even until now as an adult to find guys easily using girls--even if they were tr*shy--especially when they present it as something they did for the girl they liked. Tho the ML never explicitly said he used that girl for her, but it was heavily implied he chose her bec FL knew her and she was a bad 'friend' to the FL.

But then again, this was HS, he was still immature compared to the him now who's very mature and sweet. (But the actions still are not excusable.)

But don't worry! If you're reading this spoiler don't be discouraged as it's actually a sweet surprise rather than bitter because the two of them never held deep feelings at that time but only a pleasant surprise to know they were already interested as early as they know each other. The FL is a strong independent woman who never relied on a man for her happiness. Whereas the ML's experience in his parent's relationship affected his approach to love, but he was able to come to terms with his feelings with the FL right away, never pressured her and only moved at her pace even if it means to settle as a s*x friend at first. (I find his initial thoughts behind starting as a s*x friend a bit cringy tho. But this is smut so whatever 😂).

He ensured he made better decisions than the excuses his unreliable father made. He knew what he wants out of the relationship and only waited for the FL to be on the same page as him.

... the story is exactly like the summary explained, female lead after getting emotionally hurt, decided to enjoy her s*xual life without attachments... by chance, she slept with this handsome and cold CEO... she falls in love with him, get jealous. He also gets a little jealous of his nephew that is working together with female lead. They noticed their love for each other and ended up together. The end...

Like I said, an okay story. The only problem for me, is how shallow and cold their emotional interactions were... In my opinion, they barely held any meaningful conversations and majority of the time, they only met to have s*x...

For me, that like deep and meaningful romance, their romance was kinda forced and without the slightest chemistry... even after discovering that they shared a past, since they went to the same high school... the romance still seemed bleh...

I will say that it didn’t sit right that he dated a friend of Yu Huan’s in high school for a year and a half even after knowing that she was a fake friend who used and treated Yu Huan like crap.
