This Season 2 is A 'Kinda' Multiple 'Protagonist' type of Novel. But our Yu Yin still the Number 1 Main Character.

And I'll never get tired of Yu Yin get injured or/and in danger in Every Arcs... #imsosorry

Spoiler

Except in Vol 5. Yu Yin was barely shown and the Ghost only show up to Yu Yin because the protagonist in this vol was too Scaredy Cat of Unscientific things. Lol😂. So Yu Yin totally Injured-free and Danger-free in this vol. I wonder if there's another arc for the rest of this Season 2 where he get to Free of any worry? 🤔😆

And more about Yu Yin:

Spoiler

“Officer Yu, they still cannot touch him. The other person knows this too.” She smiled and replied, “So, we only want you to help those most important to us and hope that you can protect them to the best of your abilities.”

“Including my son?”

“It is not a coincidence that we found him. It is because he already gave consent that we could seek him out.”

“But you all should know as well that involving him will only bring him into more and more danger. I don’t want the matters that we should be dealing with to be pushed onto him. He’s merely a student.”

“This is not something you can handle. We must protect everyone. Everyone.”

Yu Xia was quiet for a moment. He stared straight at the person and asked, “What will happen in the future?”

“I don’t know. This was something that many people wished for me to pass onto you, many people that have been helped before. That is why I am here.” They paused for a moment before continuing, “One cannot save every person. But every person has some type of choice. Now, I must leave.”

This series is a continuation of its predecessor with the same horror, mystery, and ghost genres as before. The MC is still reckless but has finally learned a little self-defense. The thing is, he seems to have infected extremely intelligent characters with his rash, brainless behaviors that put him in danger, and now those characters do things similar to how he does when they have their own arcs. It feels like the characters are dumb enough to put themselves into life-threatening situations, even when they're experienced professionals, just to create... more>> unnecessary drama and tension.

The characters' lives outside of work remains bland. Even the main character, who is an art student in his final years of college and and is finally doing projects for school, which was completely neglected in the first series, doesn't get much detail. He is an art student, but there is no explanation about whether he's doing 3D art, 2D art, computer design, computer graphics, etc. None of his art projects have been described. As for other characters, they are often randomly a bunch of workaholics. Very little detail is given into their personal lives. This makes some of the characterization feel weak and makes it harder to feel attached to them.

The mysteries this time are more thought-out and detailed than before. The OP serial mu*derer comes across as contrived and acts as an overused plot device.

The series isn't as good as it could be, but it's still entertaining and worth checking out. <<less
