Aside from the subpar translation that I usually forgive, the website transfer you to malicious Web page so I recommend you to not even read this.

But if you do read this, just know the story is quite generic and subpar but the ending is quite interesting

A pretty cute and fluffy short story about a pretty youth bound to a cannon-fodder system. He has no memory of his past but tries hard to complete his tasks. There are no real threats (other than giving/taking away points) and switching systems.

The relationship progresses very naturally and is very very supportive/sweet. This is a great angst-free humorous read.

While it's nice for the translators to share the story with us, I wish the translation was better so the story will actually make sense. Currently, it's too literal and the English... more>> is pretty bad, I highly recommend an editor to the group.

Examples:

"Xia Heng was relieved to hear this and said: it's too exciting to owe the protagonist human feelings, he can't bear a small cannon fodder."

It should be: "to owe the protagonist a favor is too exciting, too much to bear for a small cannon fodder character."

Example 2:

"He was only going to leave one. But now that their relationship was so good, it's quite possible to consider leaving both of them."

It should be: "He was only going to hire one. But since it seemed their relationship was close, it was quite possible to consider asking both to stay."

Example 3:

"Li Dong and I say that Han Lang is not a simple person."

Should be: "Li Dong told me that Han Lang is not a simple person."

Pretty big difference in meanings. And this happens pretty much every other paragraph, so it's very difficult to read.

Plus some of the translations really don't make any sense.

For example: "Han Lang felt that his parents' education was good if he doesn't had a long way to go."

4.5 stars!

I saw the other reviews about the not so great translation and decided to save myself the headache by reading the raws directly (though my own lacklustre Chinese skills is another headache...). This is not an uncommon theme but it was unique in its own way and I really enjoyed this short story!

As MC grew closer to the protagonist, messing the original flow unknowingly, the support system also got upgraded in a countdown method from 15 to 14 to 10 and so on, closer and closer to 1. That was like a countdown to MC getting together with ML even though he started out as a cannon fodder.

MC was really cute and naïve and had really fluffy interactions with ML. I was actually confused about who ML truly was at the beginning because

MC thought that ML was the shou in the pairing at the beginning thanks to support system 15. Because the logic was the poor one was the shou and the rich one was the gong. Which turned out to be a correct concept in the end but in the beginning, MC thought that ML was a poor fellow hahaha.

It’s short and sweet..

MC is really cute and interesting.. The misunderstandings with the systems are hilarious..

But there are also many confusing points in the end -

  • Who is the jewellery boss’s wife ??? Did they know each other in real life or not — There was no mentioning of her before the very end..
  • Who was supposed to be the actual protagonist shou ??? It was negligible while reading the story, but became a bit uncomfortable after finishing the whole thing..
  • Were all of them victims of same accident ???
  • Did all of them have systems and were given missions to complete??? Or was it only MC ???
Except such doubts it’s a fairly enjoyable story..

The story is good though a short one. I liked the twist in the end. Unfortunately, the translation is just MTL. It gives you the gist of what is happening but misses out on the details.

A decent read between longer stories.

A short and cute novel. Its good to read when you just want to read a fluffy and not too serious novel, so its a great novel to pass time. MC is cute and hardworking and the ML is very caring. In short, the novel is very cutee. The ending was also cute.

A Really Nice Sweet Fluffy novel! And with Absolutely Wonderful Satisfying Perfect Ending!!!

MC really did his task as best as he can. And his job as worker in the other world as Hard as he required. MC is really Nice character! ML adore MC not because his fake personality or anything. Just when MC being shy, that's the first attraction. The rest, because MC simply good and innocent, ML keep falling. The chemistry between them is simple and steady. Smooth, Friendly, and grow intimately to more Sweet and Loving.

MC is... more>> not naive to not realise some changes. And when he finally realised and remember, he finally chose to accept the intimacy between him and ML. He want the Love and Care, but he wasn't Selfish. He only did it at the end. And it was allowed by the System because it was not his fault things changed!

And the Heartwarming Ending... Thank god. I Love it So much....!!!!! <<less

The only thing I hate from this novel is TOO SHORT

I want more of their interaction their old life their love

I love it really but it would be perfect if this is cliche quick transmigration ;u;

Sweet, refreshing and wonderful!! Thanks ofloat for translating and happy new years!!

I picked it up because it's quite short and I love cannon fodder transmigration novel, I gave it 5* because this is exactly what I came here for. Cannon fodder who had the protagonist fall in love with him (accidentally?) -- ended up with a HE and a happily ever after. It's wonderful, I recommend this for everyone if you need some sugar in your life!

maybe I should say systems, since he gets multiple upgrades and systems. It's a unique aspect that the systems changed with his upgrade in roles (cannon fodder-> supporting male lead-> winner/protagonist)

The translation isn't very clear though, it's probably MTL. Since it's a short story, we don't get too much character development but the romance seemed sweet. So RECOMMENDED if you like short fluffy stuff. (*≧∀≦*)

The MC and ML are very sweet and there are no toxic instances. The relationship progression was also natural. It was a light and quick read. There were no threats to their relationship and I really liked MC's character progression where he goes from obeying the system to creating his own fate.

Short and sweet, exactly what you were expecting. It doesn't require a lot of thought and it doesn't send you into emotional turmoil, so you can read this as a cleanser in between longer webnovels, haha. It's almost a little too simple, but the simpleness might be exactly what you want.

super cute and sweet! The best palate cleanser after reading a series of horrible writing. No rollercoaster ride, no cheap conflict, no unreasonable drama, no immature miscommunications and misunderstandings.

the MC is a very likable and adorable character. Our ML is also an outstanding man and he’s actually not as blackbellied as he’s said to be. If anything, he’s just not normally soft. The supporting characters are actually great too. I loved that their boss was genuinely good at his job and to his employees.

it’s just such a shame that the slightly angsty part and even some of the rest of the story wasn’t drawn out a bit more! It’s not rushed but it would’ve been even better if we had some more chapters. Either way, still such a pleasant and warm read. God this was a great find. <<less

OmO!!! Such a cute MC!!! Such a cute story!!! It was too short though! I want more!!!!

Modern World. The MC goes through multiple systems (from system 015 to system 001) and promotions = "mission failures".

Jewelry Designers. Rich Gong x Poor Shou. Power Couple Successful Couple. Together till old age. Filled with cuteness and a bit of comedy. The MC has a cute misunderstanding that the ML is a Shou.

... more>> Shounen Ai /A BL story without xxx scenes they do kiss a few times though and it was cute and satisfying enough!

Only 10 chapters. Wish this had more arcs! <<less

First of all, ofloat translation is pretty decent and understandable. A little typos and wild words but coherent.

It doesn't deserve it's low rating since it was very straightforward on what it wanted to give. The ending was quite confusing but it was a short story, haven't y'all read Short stories under these genre before? XD. They are mostly 9/10 weird.

I have developed an attitude of preparing myself from flabbergasting aspects in short stories. Hell, I once read a story about 2 f*cking mosquitoes and it made me f*cking cry... more>> (just thinking about it still does).

Anyways it didn't deserve the low rating (not that a full 5/5). It was fluff, cute and endearing. It deserves a chance to be read. <<less

Very cute, simple and yet quite novel. Especially the twist in the last chapter gives a bit of food for thought in my opinion.

No big drama, just a typical oblivious shou with a ‘system’ tasked to help get A and B together and failing because A becomes interested in him. It’s short and cute. The translation is a bit shoddy in places hence the 4 stars but overall pretty good read to pass time. No complaints.
