In the beginning the author describes the male lead as handsome with every girl screaming and blushing around him... but throughout the story the speech start changing... saying that the male lead wasn't so handsome, just that his face was fierce and cold, scaring people...

The case of female lead in my opinion was even more weird...

In the beginning no one admires her appearance, because she was always using huge sunglasses because of her blindness... Like, what? What kind of sunglasses do that? As far as I know, they only hide your eyes... not the entire face... so how people couldn't notice the beauty of female lead's because of her sunglasses? And believe me, she was really a godly beauty, since the author remembered that point every, but every time... her beauty stunning men, women, children and elders 😅 But oh, they only start drooling over her, after she stop using the sunglasses and recover her vision...

Ha, like Super Man... no one recognizes Clark Kent as Super Man because of his glasses 😂

The dumbest disguise ever... beauty to ugly because of a mere sunglasses...

So they kinda exchanged roles... the beauty the female lead became, the uglier he turned into

But after they got together, male lead decided to break up with her for her own sake, since after saving her and becoming disfigured and crippled he wanted her to find someone better...

But after the break up, she only timidly tried to approach him... she even got mad with him saying that she was too hurt and they shouldn't see each other anymore...

Like, come on! The guy saved you from turning into ashes during a fire, got hurt, disfigured and disabled, but you can't even beg him to stay together with you? Like, you made him beg for so long but you can't even do that in return?

Also, in my opinion her gentleness was never for him, only to others, even after they got together.

She never tried to soothe his insecurities or his low self esteem, making him always doubt about her love for him.

I don't know, but wouldn't you give yourself completely to someone that saved your life and in consequence got hurt in your place?

Argh, so annoying and cold hearted 😠

Her cold attitude made him become so insecure that he thought that she was only with him for pity and sympathy of his crippled leg. So he gave up of treating his leg so she wouldn't leave him...

... in the beginning, everyone scolded male lead for being a bully, a pushover and a stalker.

The novel have ninety four chapters and more than fifty chapters, was the description of male lead pursuing over and over again the female lead, just to hear a huge "no" as an answer. So tiresome and repetitive...

I agree that love is a matter of perspective...

If a handsome guy keeps insistently pursuing a beautiful girl, for majority of people, that's romantic and a sign of tenacity...

If an ugly guy keeps insistently pursuing a beautiful girl, for majority of people, that's stalking and a sign of sickness...

In the case of male lead in this story, female lead considered him "ugly" because she prejudicially considered him a bloody sick mu*der... she never stop her prejudices and try to understand his circumstances and his mental illness (maybe that happened in the end, since she tried to understand and accept him, but only after she discovered that the mu*der was because of her)...

But for a person that was constantly praised for being gentle and kind, that didn't stop her of condemning and stamping mu*der in his forehead in the beginning...

But doesn't she know the word: circumstances and redemption?

He definitely was... but at least he had an excuse... he was mistreated and abandoned by his family and had a mental disease... because of his manic disorder he didn't know how to control his anger, because of his ADHD he didn't know how to study, because of his sickness mistreatment during his childhood he didn't know how to love...

But what about female lead? Did she have an excuse for being a person full of preconceptions? She was like everyone else in society that is always the first one to label people's wrongdoings without even understanding their circumstances... giving them the eternal label of sinners...

The novel tried to sell her as someone extremely gentle and righteous... but in the end she was full of judgment and prejudice against male lead...

For someone that was portrayed as gentle and understanding, she never tried to understand the male lead, his mental disease and why he became a mu*der in her previous life. For someone that chose to be a lawyer to fight for the innocent, she was too fast to judge and condemn male lead as a crazy mu*der! She wasn't gentle at all, if she was full of prejudices...

She was full of righteous and wanted to be a lawyer? Did she deserved to be a lawyer? For me it's a big "no", since it's taught in law school that:

And even if the person really committed a crime, we still need to know all the truth and circumstances behind a crime... since even the law considers that mental problems and child ab*se and neglect reduce the culpability of a mu*der...

But someone with the "mentality of a lawyer full of justice", she already condemned him as a bloody mu*der without even knowing his circumstances or what made him become one... repeating again, he only became a mu*derer because of her! Argh, what a white lotus... 😠 (white lotus: someone who is pure in appearance, but opposite inside)
