MTL-ed this novel and dropped around 34 chaps in.

MC is alright. She just wants to be low key and live her life now that she has another chance due to her rebirth. Unlike a lot of novels where MC travels back 20 or 30 years, she just simply returns to 3 years ago. So basically a 19 year old girl having to redo high school life again. The main issue that I had with her character is that she is too timid. You would think that having an extra 3... more>> years under your belt would make a difference, but she is as timid as a mouse.

ML is very overbearing. MC rejects him (kind of? indirectly? I would think that physically running away from someone is enough of a hint that you don't like them...), but he doesn't take no for an answer and still stalks/pushes himself on her. And to all those people who say, but it was fine in the end because they ended up as a perfect couple and loving each other, that's BS there was no respect to begin with. I felt really uncomfortable reading it, especially because MC is so timid, and this makes ML just seem so much more annoying and pushy. I feel sorry for her, because I guess she died in the past life due to him and this time just wants to stay away. Their relationship in their past life sounds almost abusive? through the flashbacks we get, and from the way that this life is going, it's going to be the same as well. <<less

This book is just 🥰. I started reading this because of I really like this author. For reading this novel I had to find the raws and google translate it but I feel this novel was worth it.

Lu Zhi and Ning Zhen's love was just precious. I really cried in the last chapter which showed what the ML did after the FL's death in the first life. You can feel that FL is ML's life, without her he isn't alive. In short, I fell in love at first read💕💕💕.

I just finished reading this novel. While it isn't the best second chance story out there, it's definitely very unique and is worth reading. I MTLed the entire story.I think the author struggled with the FL character, trying to portray that feeling of caution towards ML because of rebirth, but down the line she still finds herself falling in love with him. At the beginning, it was frustrating to read because FL was so timid and cautious about her actions but as the story progresses we see more character development... more>> and depth. I deducted one star because I hate how the author suddenly decided to make a MAJOR twist towards the end of the story. I was kinda caught off guard. Overall, I enjoyed reading this story.

P.S: One major aspect of the story I like is that, even though FL was reborn, she doesn't have crystal clear memory about her previous life. She vaguely remembers important events, but mostly she will remember things as they happen, which means she knew ML before she met him but didn't remember his looks! <<less

Wtf was this.... I have read more crazy books than this and given them 3 stars because a. They had coke addictive writing and b. Even if everything was batsh*t crazy, the writing still showed how it happened. Essentially, this novel was those two points and was going to get 3 stars until we hit chapter 71+. It was completely left field, unnecessary, and all those chapters after just felt like the author has this particular taste in nostalgic tragedy & dramatic romances. Even the extra felt like why did... more>> you have to write that - we already knew it.

Before chapter 71, I would say this book has very addictive writing qualities even if you wouldn't like the ml. You could totally enjoy this as a really bad guilty pleasure. Or if you like yanderes, you could enjoy this, although I would say this is not completely yandere.

I am the one who added the yandere tag because this is not devoted love. It's obsessive and frankly if she didn't like the man, it's criminal. However I know yandere is actually quite crazy and I wouldn't actually say he's there yet, but arguably he is. so I would say he's a moderate yandere, which is so funny to say like it's a political party or something in the middle lol. Essentially, the spoiler is the ML has a whole family of yanderes and I don't think the two of them should have a baby or else, it will definitely get the yandere genes. Although I would never accept this romance in my top tier list of romances because of his yandere qualities, I still arguably to my disdain enjoyed his character for what it was.

Until we hit chapter 71 because the other characters just went left field batsh*t crazy and we don't even really see what happens to them and we just get a word bombed about why it happens. And then they had him go into a coma and then next chapter he's out of the coma and I'm just like what are you doing author? There was no checklist for you to have to follow. He could have all the stereotypes in the world and I still would have been okay with it, if it felt like there was a lead up to it. but there was no real reason even if it was the weakest reason it would have been better. And technically The author did have a sense of foreshadowing, the weakest foreshadowing, but it may no sense why It happened even. I don't know It was just this break off point for me where even if the writing up into that point was ridiculous it was still addictive. Whereas this scene felt like interjected into the story and ruined everything afterwards too because I don't understand why the author even had to go down this route.

Its really not that serious because it's not that serious of a book. I enjoyed it. I just don't know why that happened. And then I didn't enjoy it which is what happened.

HOWEVER, the thing is, I guess his approach is a little bit forceful. He always has his own way to make FL yields to him, he is eloquent with words, he is shameless. He is basically can tease FL all day long.

and, FL is just like a rabbit that is afraid with him and has no courage to go against him. So, she doesnt like him yet she doesnt reject him either because she is scared of him. Basically she is scared because FL is a natural good student and good daughter, if she doesn't follow ML's words, he can do something shameless which will make FL embarassed

I think they got together in mid 40 chapter. It's not like they officially get together, but FL understands her feelings and decides to face the future bravely.

at the beginning I was so confused why FL had to distance herself from ML. And the story only unravels mid 30. It's because FL died to protect ML, and she rebirth with memories but no feelings. So maybe initially she hopes if she and ML dont get together, they can prevent that tragedy. But then somehow suddenly she realized that she has feelings towards him

also, ML had rebirth later on when he had an accident where he is asleep for 7 days.

tbh, I somehow feel FL doesnt deserve ML. ML had a long and hard time to chase her, tho he just plays rouge and shameless. But, I just cant feel FL's love for ML. She always runs at every turns, she hardly expresses her feelings. It's just hard to see how much she loves him. This one for sure, that ML loves FL more than FL loves ML <<less

Sorry but I guess this is my bottom line for a rebirth novel, this is too triggering for me.

The interactions between FL and ML is giving me major red flag warning of an unhealthy obsessive relationship. Seriously CN authors needs to stop with romanticizing this kind of sh*t relationship. I don't like that the author is packaging the timid FL personally as a come-hither trigger for the ML, like yuck seriously!? He's having a boner everytime he's cornering the FL like WTF?! That's romantic? ML doesn't even realize and even... more>> relishing the fact that he's making her uncomfortable! Yo like does your brain even work? In the first chapter, he told her to do raise her hand and answer the teachers questions even though she really doesn't want to but have to cause that way she think he'll leave her alone? And he thinks its cute? Like seriously add a serious tone or change the perspective and this could be a crime novel.

And the author, what's the use of giving the FL a second chance if she's gonna end up with the same type of shit? Don't the author know anything about fight or flight instinct? Every flora or fauna with a braincell or tissue have this reaction to danger. FL said she don't want to interact or end up with ML in this life, we were given a glimpse of what she felt and what their past relationship was like, so I didn't get why did the author have a major brain fart made the FL and ML canon. Jesus christ man. This isn't romantic love that is worth having second life for. <<less

Finished reading. FL had her rebirth first. Went back to 3 years ago as a transferred student and met the school tyrant ML.

Her rebirth lets her recall fragments or what going to happen, vaguely show she died for him but she does not carry the same feeling so she isn't in love with him yet. She just slowly remember things as she gets through it. The ML had his rebirth after he was in an accident. It was a loyal ml-FL tandem, no 1st love or 3rd party just them.... more>> Their obstacles was, FL was timid, since she didnt reincarnate with feelings, she chose to avoid to try changing her path but eventually fell inlove with him again. There's no prob with the ML. It was more of the FL struggles against her own feelings <<less

It's a amazing novel. You can feel the ML's love. At the beginig we see the FL strugling with her feelings.

She's reborn so it's understandable. The end is not surprising but it's a good read. There's an happy end.

The last chapter made me cry. The love of the ML it's really touching.

I recommend this author, his novels are amog the best that I have read.

You can MTL this, it's easy to read.

I want to finish reading it, really, but ML is just infuriating. The early chapters were alright and I loved the MC. The ML? Not so much.

Lu Zhi is a massive red flag. Ning Zhen explicitly and repeatedly said N-O and expressed protests yet he still crossed her boundaries multiple times. He was basically forcing himself into her: pulling her left and right, hugging her without permission, forcing her to hug him and calling it her taking the first step, kissing her in her sleep, blackmailing her, forcing her to... more>> choose between choices that obviously benefits him in expense of her comfort and boundaries. Some I would dare call SH.

I was thinking maybe it'll get better but I ended up giving up after catching up to the translation because all I could feel was frustration and discomfort from Lu Zhi's actions. Sure he's a teen but jfc let her breathe? She already said she doesn't like you that way what more hint do you want?

Someone here said that Ning Zhen doesn't seem to love Lu Zhi as much as he did in the later chapters and I wasn't really that surprised with the past casting shadows on Ning Zhen plus the way that Lu Zhi didn't really change.

Since I dropped this, I just hope that Ning Zhen was able to pursue her passion in dancing. <<less

Story was good but nothing special and it ended on a good note.i choose to read this because of yandere tag but when I completed the story the ML didn't acted like one at all maybe in previous life he was one but we shouldn't call it yandere it should be obsessive but on a minimum tolerable level and after rebirth his character development was more and more appreciable and FL and his relationship is somewhat good and get better and better till the end....

But the plot is nothing special... more>> and also nothing to hate or dislike about you can read it it's a short story novel.....☺ <<less

Even though I don’t really like the FL character- too timid and cowardly though it get better, I really liked the ML. Tragic backstory but his undying love and devotion is touching. The romance was alright but it was nice to see progression of the FL throughout the story.

Well, the story is okayish? It's a lot similar to the novel 'I'm not fit to be the stubborn male lead's first love'. Except for the golden finger (system) that the FL had. But I think that story was much better than this one. That one was more detailed, the FL was more determined and the story was a lot more comedic than this one. I finished that one but didn't feel the ending was bad or forced because the FL didn't fall in love with the ML (at least... more>> admit it), until ML promised he would try to control his possessiveness. Not only that, the ML also went with a lot personality change. And maybe that was the only reason the ending was satisfying to me.

But this novel was a little different than that. I don't see any changes on ml's personality. No matter how early we are on the story but there is not a little bit on changes on him. And I don't think I will be satisfied with a forced happy ending where the FL literally has Stockholm syndrome.

I think my opinion isn't good because I read a better novel than this with the same plot. If anyone is reading it first, then you will like it. But if you read the other novel first, your opinion will be like me. <<less

This is such an excellent story I’m so glad I found it by chance. It has it all... great character development, creative plot, rebirth, tsundere, innocent true love, evil villains, rich family battles... yes I had some tearjerker moments. Worth sifting through the semi- mtl translation.
