In another world, it all began with inheriting the name of Hydra. The essence of the Hydra: Cut off one head, two more shall grow. Owen’s philosophy: For every base exposed, two more shall be built.

Yan Xu, a novel enthusiast, transmigrates into the body of Owen Hydra, a Viscount in the barren Northern Border. Inheriting a crumbling castle, meager resources, and a handful of loyal subjects, Owen’s dream of aristocratic luxury is shattered. His only hope lies in a slowly booting-up system from a corrupted hard drive. As the system partially activates, granting him access to a trove of abilities and units from various video games, Owen begins to rebuild his territory. He navigates political intrigues, bandit raids, barbarian threats, and the mysteries of a world with magic, utilizing his gaming knowledge to establish a hidden power base and amass a loyal following. Balancing his reliance on the system with developing the skills of his people, Owen strives to secure his position and carve a place for himself in this new world, all while trying to unlock the full potential of his game-based golden finger.

Bad.

Multiple chapters trying to explain to the s*upid reader why the protagonist doesn't trust a new maid 100% and doesn't tell her all his secrets. Really?

2/3 of a chapter try to convince the s*upid reader that better cavalry is better than worse cavalry. Really.

... more>> Then, two chapters later, the same again. Did the author forget or does he think the reader is s*upid?

Hoping to sound like an adult while dancing around the theme of s*x, a 14 year old virg*n author?

REALLY bad story telling.

The protagonist has to eat bad, old bread, but then he decides to create 20 soldiers who have to eat.

And more soldiers who have to eat.

After 50 soldiers, he creates workers, to build houses and stuff.

And then is winter and some of his serfs die from freezing or hunger, who knows, the protagonist doesn't even care to find out.

There is no logical buildup, no base building or clever use of his system in a way you can understand.

It's weird and not understandable what happens.

Bad book! <<less

The story is poorly designed and certain parts feels forced imo.

The author doesn't really track how the protagonist redeems his Progress value so it becomes even more of a poorly designed novel. I don't quite understand how with the slow recovery of PV (whatever slow means since the author never quantifies it but says redeeming too much could break the system) he was able to get enough soldiers, archers and a scout cavalry by the time the caravan came. They even avoid giving a timeline of when things happen.... more>> If the author doesn't keep track of this, I lose faith they're designing the story progressing well because it just seems a fake limiter on the protag.

While the protag describes the stages of redemption, I have no idea how he plans to feed these soldiers or how the soldiers work once redeemed. He said certain soldiers need to be paid while certain soldiers just need to be fed. What about ammo? What about maintenance of their armor?

Not even a few chapters in, the caravan master gives up maids and then several paragraphs of description on why he wasn't willing to give them up. Dude why did you give them up then? Just give him more supplies. You literally explained earlier that 3 times supplies is nothing. You're heartbroken about giving the maids, but literally you have supplies. Feels forced by the author to provide the protagonist with 2 maids for no other reason than just to give it.

In they very same chapter the caravan master also said he didn't care how much goods was unloaded. At this point why didn't he offer more at the beginning and hide the maids. Feels like there's no brain here for someone who was entrusted by the president of the company.

Surprise surprise, progress value depends on the technology of the world. For some reason our protagonist was uneducated as a noble for so many years that for many days since he transmigrated he was unaware that the level of technology was around the 1980s our time when he could've literally checked the progress value redemption of the items to see. It really feels the author haphazardly introduces things because he realized that without certain things the story won't progress as well which shows bad design from the start <<less

Personally I like it but it's frustrating.

With such diverse power there's infinite possibilities and it didn't choose mine. But it's an ok story.

What people don't like might be the narrative style who makes it seem slower than reality. I had to check often the chapter number to be sure.

I think you should read the first chapters to see if you can read it.

The author is very indulgent towards the reader, as previous reviews have explained, who would be fools without insight. Everything needs to be explained in detail.

Anyone with malicious intent should be wary of transmigrants...

Especially foolish transmigrants who pretend to understand the steps of regional development, including economic development, infrastructure, defense, and security.
