Jiang Tang is a bit unlucky. She transmigrated. Her husband is an absolutely wicked villain beyond redemption in an Otome video game.

In the end, because he wanted to have the female lead by force, his family was broken up and ruined by the decent male lead, ending very miserably.

Besides that, their eldest son will become the future BOSS, his second son will become the vicious male supporting character, and the youngest daughter will become a very cunning, ignorant, and incompetent cannon fodder.

Jiang Tang is very anxious. If she was really the villain’s wife, then according to the plot, she will die from illness after a year.

Jiang Tang looked at her villain husband, rubbed her little hand, and said: “Bro, let’s get divorced. Children belong to you, the property belongs to me.”

The villain husband: ???

My husband, sons, and daughter are all wicked people.

In order to stay alive, Jiang Tang made painstaking efforts to transform the children into positive and upright good young people. At the same time, she also harvested her own love.

The novel is a good read, MC relationship with the kids are cute

Spoiler

the only thing that I didn't like is the fact that the first son has a split personality which doesn't get cured until almost at the end of the novel. The split personality side, was a pain in the ass and an as*hole who kept hurting his siblings. I feel like about 1/3 of the novel was about MC trying to cure the son from this condition, so the novel was a bit of a drag.

The second son is a brat in the beginning and has a somewhat low IQ. You'll grow to like him later in the novel tho.
The daughter is very cute! I think that out of all the kids she is the most least troublesome one. The daughter is always watching TV dramas and this become a comedy relief in the novel as she's a 3 year old applying what she sees on TV to real life.
The novel keeps saying that the ML is cold blah blah but he is actually pretty childish to me. The MC is quick to find out that even tho he is supposed to be the big villain he is a great dad to his kids and love them.
There are a lot of parts in the novel that I like and thought that were funny but I'm getting bored so I'm stopping here.

To be honest, not bad but not good. Tho MC's thinking herself she's doing quite well as a mom but no (even have the voilence tendency)...... it's just original owner's ignorance on her children is worse.

For ML..... Oh! He is a rapist! A b*astard who did not learn about humanity but extremely selfish and domineering. Not Cool.... I'd rather second ML to be real ML.

Tho MC and ML charactor have to be questioned, the story is well structure... and the kids are pitiful at the same time cute. I rate... more>> three stars for not having too much plot holes and the eldest child. As for other, read it and forget it. <<less

The translation quality is decent. When you read, you can understand everything, it's just there are a few grammatical errors every now and then that can sometimes make you pause for a moment.

The MC and ML have very clear flaws and are portrayed quite realistically with the children. If you don't like or aren't used to kids, are really busy with work, etc. You can end up uninterested or uninvolved until something happens that makes you realise you need to step up. Which they do.

The MC is very realistic. There... more>> is no fantasy and what if with her. This can be thought of as r*pe culture with some of the s*x scenes with the ML.

There is only 1 time that I have read so far that was a bit r*pe and he stopped with some touching and apologised.

It may be because I have read some books with horrendous ML's that have repeatedly assaulted the MC and just been so disgusted with the story that I find there interactions not really a problem. It didn't make me uncomfortable. Her attitude was, they were married and she enjoyed it, so why not have a friends with benefits thing. He did push for it to happen, but it didn't feel like, if she had seriously said no, that he would force her. She actually did a few times and he respected her wishes and didn't touch her. I think this might actually be the first time I have read this. It's usually the guy stopping because he believes she isn't ready or wants to wait himself. Not because she clearly says no, I don't want to.

This story feels a bit slow and draggy. Because of how it's not really big events and more about her trying to raise the kids, it can be a bit blah. It's not bad. It's just not really interesting.

I am stopping for now and might come back to it later. I do like the characters, but because of its pacing, I think this will be one I read between others.

I do want to say though, am so glad to have an opinionated and self aware MC that isn't a Mary sue. Aside from her appearance, she is full of flaws and is a wonderfully complex character.

The same for the ML. His backstory and personality make him another lead that isn't flat or generic.

This really does feel like something new, even with a common trope. <<less

I read the first review. And I was like, wait up I'm gonna leave a review here, gotta defend it because it's rare for me to find such a straight up - more realistic novel that doesn't piss me off nor bored me.

Then I saw the rest above and was like ? So I wasn't needed after all.

1. It's not some dang Mary Sue novel.

(get a life people, not every ML is such a prince. Lots of my fellow feminists don't like MLs like these. Understandable. Although for me... more>> who reads western novels at the same time, I know the value of reality to most relationships and they aren't perfect)

2. The value of change in persona in the FL is not that she's the onlyponly who changed can resolve one's problem.

So I like her badass attitude of letting the ML sleep with her. Like heck. If she wants to, why not? They slept together. Does that mean feelings? She's a queen darling. You fell? Sorry. No hard feelings.

She's the type that gives that vibe. She doesn't even care if the ML has other. As long as he tells her so she can find 'another'. Got me?

Like how many divorce-new love novels isn't there? She's strong, can't she find one?

3. FL is a responsible Mom. <<less

I didn't expect this novel to be so good and so funny. The MC is great, witty and funny, she seems like a real person dealing with her problems in a realistic way. I like how she comes to care for her spoiled children slowly, how she often wants to just give up but she has to keep going on because forced by the system. The ML is great too, he always respects her, gives her space and supports her decisions without being pushy onto her to have his feelings... more>> reciprocated. I also love how they have s*x just for fun and that doesn't define their whole relationship. I highly reccomend it <<less

Don't read other reviews here first. Read the novel as a whole and then give your honest review. There are some uncomfortable scenes (you can skip them if you feel uncomfortable), and plough through to the end. This novel is not only about how a transmigrated woman changed her doomed character in an otome game and lived a life with a "villain" husband and "villain" children, but it also touches on how to deal with a child with a split personality and even mentions a social problem that has happened... more>> in China. You will laugh at the beginning, or should I say most of the story, but the rest will make you feel sorry and sad for some of the characters, not because of a misunderstanding between the MCs but because of the true story of why the characters ended up like that. Give it a try. If you still don't like it, I can't force you. Don't worry, it has a happy ending despite the death of one of its characters. <<less

Techically, it's a good novel. I enjoyed the plot. Even tho the ML was so tr*shy beyond logic, but he tried to be better. So, maybe, emm, yeah.

He was a rapist you guys, don't deny it. Even in a marriage relantionship, r*pe could be happen. It's a fact that he see his wife as a s*xual object before the FL's soul transmigrated into her body. As all we know, he actually fall and kind with the transmigrated FL, not his actual wife. Maybe because I've read a lot of c-novel... more>> so I kinda tolerate it. It's still meh for me tho. R*pe is a big no no.

As I said before, I really enjoyed the story. The children, especially Lin Chu Yi the only aspect of it that made me still keep going to read it. I really want to know how the couple handle their mentally ill son and their troublematic marriage.

But, at the same time, honestly I'm sick of how the author repeatly mentioned how beautiful and captivating the FL are. Like, yes I know she's magically heavenly unhuman uncompareable beautiful, but for what, duh, it's has nothing to do with the plot! It's disturb my reading experience.

Okay, just say it that I'm an overthinking person. Everytime the naration ended up mentioned how beautiful FL over and over again, I always stop reading it, close the tab, and thinking "I feel sorry for chiness teenagers or anyone who grow up reading this kinda novel. I hope they don't think that apperance determine our value as humans" and then listen to Scar to your beautiful by Alesia Cara in a loop. I need to calm my poor soul and mind.

Does anyone think the same? Or maybe is it just ugly people jealousy lol. Jealous for what anyway.

I'm not living in China myself, I dont know how the society work in there. I dont know if they think what the ML did is okay (s*x without consent is a r*pe even the victim is your wife, but he's changed tho, thanks to FLs hard work to fufill the ridiculous missions) or how toxic their beauty standard are. As an asian myself I could say maybe it's not far different from the society of where I'm living.

This review is actually another episode of me complaining about something that cant be change and maybe other people okay with that.

So, yeah, the plot is interesting, the children is interesting, if you don't think what I've complained as a problem you might enjoy reading this. <<less

lol ppl who say it wasn't r*pe, ok maybe it wasn't but also, did you read this line?

Spoiler

"Jiang Tang in the past would not talk a lot like this, and wished to avoid him 24 hours a day. Even in bed, she acted like she was being r*ped, not willing, a face full of humiliation" this is from the MLS pov. Lmao he thinks she just acted like she was being r*ped. Ok then how do we know it was or wasn't consensual. Obviously how do we accept his perspective that he thinks she's just "acting". Also it's possible it wasn't consensual bc the original character was weak and didn't speak out no probably. But then again she abused her child mentally. BUT THEN, the ML kept her trapped in this marriage and possibly continued to r*pe her possibly so honestly this sh*t is really kinda dark. Especially bc you also realize why the ML is so low-key dark if the r*pe is true is bc he always had the trauma of being tortured as a child. Oh yea he also didnt care that the children abuse her until our MC came and bc PLOT lmao he changed

[collapse]

Lmao y'all are just like look at this character change but do you realize the only reason you are waiting to read for a character change is bc a. Plot device - System novel and b. ML basically imprisons her in this loveless marriage by disallowing divorce.

Ok deep theory time:

Spoiler

ok so the system exists to create a tv show people can watch to enjoy so it makes these ridiculous tasks that MC has to do to live. What if it's metaphor for us. I mean the system is obviously a plot device that forces us to see the ML to change bc anyone else would logically divorce and live happily without having to be r*ped maybe without a cond*m and have 3 children. Idk the original character was kinda weak anyway but I understand her situation. Anyways it's basically we are the reason these characters are having to even suffer each other in this marriage until they change or else there won't be an interesting tvshow/novel for the audience/readers to enjoy.

[collapse]
I'm just saying, 4th wall? Anyways I hate system novels like this but I will continue to read bc just bc why not. I'm Stockholm syndromed into this novel just like you and the wife in this marriage.

To be fair, some ppl just don't care about the actual premise of the book being dark af because they just enjoy the good character writing. And to be fair, yes the dialogue and character writing itself is very compellingly written. Just wished the plot wasn't so overly dependant on the system to contrive a real reason to root for a character change. Basically the author blocked the divorce button to allow them to easily without much good writing (by using the system plot device) to see how well they can write a character change. I do admit that chu yi is worth reading the novel just bc you wanna protect.

Example why I f*ckin hate system novels, it's like letting the author d*ck around and we just have to accept it as plot:

Spoiler

"Alright, I was talking nonsense. In fact, your life was originally bound to the big villain, Lin Suizhou, so that you can become a good wife and loving mother, but who the hell knows my assistant messed up and made a Xia Huairun. Otherwise, do you think his name is so casual because he came from blindly pregnant. When I woke up, it was already too late, my assistant had already binded both of you together. I am also very desperate, but nothing I can do, and can only bite the bullet. If you don't save him, you will really die! Papa!"

Jiang Tang: "..........""

[collapse]

Final verdict: if you like watching your friend say her bf sucks, break up with him, but they share dogs so they take turns taking care of them, she has s*x with him on the side, still tells you her ex bf sucks, she'll never get back with him, has accidental s*x when dropping off the dogs, then you'll love this! I dislike relationships like this and even tho the dogs are cute. I only recommend this if you want to read this for the children <<less

Worth the reading, and I dont think it deserves all the hate it received. The ML is an as*hole but I have seen worst, he gets a lot better and FL put him in his place. Honestly, its not that bad as people is talking. He gets a lot better after the divorce and Chuyi is the most precious creature I have ever seen. Such a blessed child! He is just too sweet!! That child is worth everything, and his older brother also have his charm... read it and you... more>> will not be disappointed, it will be a little annoying in the beggining cause the children are terrible, ML an as*hole and FL too much of a diva to be a mom but it gets better. There is a lot of personal growth during the plot and its really realistic, all of them go through it and its heartwarming. Still, Chuyi is the best. Read for him and you will not regret, the child is an angel. Both him and the teen. <<less

If you are tired of reading about dog blood stories, aphrodisiac, pregnancy, miscarriage, white lotus aiming for the ML, power and wealth struggling, evil mother in law..

Well.. This one is just about a girl who had an accident and bound by system, but this isnt like other stories where system is always present.

She just needs to tame the 3 kids, he story is light. The only villain is the mom and some random minor characters. I like how she verbal fight with others.

How they divorce and fell in love and... more>> all. The story just revolves about their family nad resolving the double personality of the eldest. <<less

First and foremost,

when I was annoyed by the bratty kids, I looked at the comments and as fate would have it, the top comment at that time was a 1 star rating with nothing but hatred for the characters. I was almost misled by that comment. (No hate though. I'm just blaming myself for being gullible).

Anyway, here's my thoughts. First of all, this story's plot isn't unique, in fact, this "transmigrating as a wicked mother" type of plot is very popular, thus, there's many similar plots all over the... more>> novel world. However, there are also uniqueness added to it which made it have an edge over those stories. For example:

Spoiler

I don't know about you but most of the the children I've encountered with this type of plot were insecure but sensible but realistically, we all know that children are clear between who's good and bad to them and they won't want anyone who's bad to them. So although I almost drop the story because I was pissed off at the beginning by the FL's children, I admit that it's more realistic.

Second, the system is not actually a golden finger which we expect from a reborn with system troupe. The system is just a system. It'll give tasks and give you rewards or punishment but there's no suddenly becoming a genius or something. Rather than the system, the so-called cheats were given by the FL's fellow transmigrators (and those cheats are more or less like a scam lol).

Third, just like what I mentioned above, there's the presence of other transmigrators with different world backgrounds and plots. This is the first time I encountered such plot and I am entertained by the members of that gc lol. Also, due to their explanations, I can imagine the world design of the story which is wider than I thought.

And lastly, let me emphasize this one, THERE'S NO WHITE LOTUS SISTER IN THIS STORY. Admit it, everyone. If you're familiar with C-Novels, there's no way you've never encountered a white lotus sister/cousin at least 5 times. I'm so done with them but what can I do? They're more popular than the presence of the scumbag fianc

nowadays sigh.

[collapse]

And about the mental illness mentioned...

Spoiler

I am familiar, but not overly nor professionally familiar with DID. But at least, how the story portrayed the Chu Yi's DID is still acceptable. There's a "spiritual world" or alter world mentioned. And I am satisfied when Chu Yi only found out about his mother's abuse when he merged with Ah Wu. It's because as trauma holder and a protective alter, Ah Wu's duty is to make sure that Chu Yi will not be provoked by those traumas. Although it's indeed saddening to see Ah Wu disappeared but rather than disappearing, it's appropriate to say that he merged with the main personality which is Chu Yi. Anyway, again, I'm not professionally familiar with DID so if I make a mistake, forgive me.

[collapse]

So I already talked about the kids that made me almost drop this story because of their nasty attitude which changed slowly. Now, about the ML, again, just like the other commentators above, I indeed salute his loyalty even if there's no love between them and just lust. He's an imperfect ML and I also don't like him at first because of his ego. To say the he looks down on women, no, I don't think so. After all, he looks up to his adopted mother. It just that, he's indeed prideful. But later, I found out his real nature. If there's a "wolf pretending to be a puppy" type of ML, then this story's ML is the opposite. He's a puppy pretending to be a wolf lol. Also, I admit,
Spoiler

I also don't like that banquet scene where he inflicted fear on the FL by dragging her and blindfolding her while assaulting her due to his jealousy

[collapse]
but later on, he's changing for the better when he realized that the FL is not some sort of his canary. At the end, he's just a pitiful cub with a low status in the family sigh. Anyway, although I don't like him at first, but the reason I stayed is because, with this kind of ML, I'm sure they'll be a wife s*ave afterwards (just like Cub Zhou) so I really stayed for that. It satisfied my sadistic self by reading how jealous and aggrieved the ML can be but can't do anything about it but cling tighter to the FL.

Also, regarding what the top commenter said about the 2nd ML. He didn't just disappeared alright? That's also one of the things that fooled me. Because of that, I thought that the 2nd ML will disappear after the fire incident but no, he's there until the end even if just by chatting with the ML. But in a sense, when we say 2nd ML, it means that he's the ML' s love rival. So we can indeed say that the 2nd ML disappeared because
Spoiler

his interest with the FL disappeared after that fire incident and he just decided to be a friend (but it's not in a tragic, and unrequited way, alright?) Because he's the buddy (and mistress lol) of the ML. The two of them are hilarious together.

[collapse]

Now, about the side stories. I read some comments saying the FL confessed to the ML that she's a transmigrator? Is it after Liangshen's side story? Because I can't find it since the chapters posted here ends in the second child's SS. Also, when I say I'm satisfied with the wide world background, I'm including the world of the other transmigrators and is referring to that tv series mentioned by the system. Because if we're narrowing the world background by just this background, well, it's kinda lacking as I noticed that the only popular industry mentioned here was the entertainment industry. Also, I almost forgot that this is an otome game setting because otome is from Japan (since I'm more familiar with reverse harem type when it comes to otome game setting) and then this one is one of the most popular C-Novel transmigration plots.

And about the FL... She's not OP nor a genius but she's talented though not overly talented. In short, she's just realistic. I think she got a high EQ but even so, she sometimes unintentionally ignore the children's feelings but at first, but it is understandable since she was a single lady who doesn't have an experience of being a mother before she crossed over so if makes sense that she's not a perfect mother. Though I admit that I expect more from her (like the golden finger, OPness, martial arts talent) but like I said, she's quite realistic. Not too smart but not s*upid. Not overly glamorous but not mediocre.

And lastly, I was actually a little stunned because of the first chapter. I didn't expect that but I must say, the first chapter is already the most implicit xoxo scene in this story. As for the other snu snu, it's just explicitly narrated. But the author did a good job of creating a sweet and tense atmosphere during those time, albeit very short. As for the tag r*pe, I'm actually thinking of removing it as it's kinda misleading but I didn't because who knows if the xoxo between the ML and OG host was consensual because the ML said that when they (he and the OG host) do it before, she looks humiliated. But rest assured, all xoxos between the ML and FL were consensual (about that banquet scene, it's more of a s*xual assault than r*pe).

And lastly, there's a miniscule errors in the translation but just like I said, miniscule. If you don't pay attention to it very much, you won't notice it. So in short, the translation is good.

Overall, it's an 8.5/10.

PS. It's astonishing how I can write an over 1, 000 word review but I can't even start a 200 minimum word essay in our school works. <<less

Funny and no misunderstanding!
Marathon in 8 hours🤣

Personally I think that the "rape" part that several commenters were dissatisfy with isn't nearly as severe as it was portray in those comments. The FL did refuse at the start but she also reacted to the ML and went along with him in the end so I can't say that it is one sided from the ML side.

The reason why I give this 5 stars is because the character growth is really well developed. Most senarios is also very reasonable and realistic. Most importantly, the ending is incredibly complete, talking about the childrens' lovelife and marraige.

I can say that I loved the story. The concept is very simple but well made.

You will laugh a lot reading this novel and at the same time it will treat in some elements that are normally ignored in Chinese novels like mental health.

The FL is smart and competent with a lot of willpower. The ML is just window dressing, he will change during the story but it will take a long time. The kids are the stars of the novel. Most of the comedy is because of their reactions... more>> and actions.

There are some gaming elements (system and all) but it is used for jokes most of the time.

Note: I read some of the one star reviews and I think they are wrong in a lot of aspects, specially the r*pe aspect. All the s*x that happens in the novel (including the one in the first chapter, that she thought was a wet dream) is consensual, with one instance where he tries to scare her and goes over the line. In this instance he did not have s*x with her.

It really surprised me because there are some chinese novels with Tsundere ML that have actual r*pe and very dark elements that don`t have reviews as low as the one in this novel. I can understand that some people don`t like some elements (I hate yaoi and harem to give an example), but this reeks of hypocrisy.

My recommendation is that you try to read the novel until the 20th chapter. You will see if it is for you. I can say that I actually loved the novel until the end. <<less

First, I'm hesitating because of the reviews and the first few chapters but this is a story a gold.

Everyone in the novel has a problem, but there will be a character improvement. Both ML and ogFL has issues. Now the heroine transmits, everyone change. This book focus on second chances. Why they are at fault and why does this happen.

Great story and rooting for Tian Tian and Langshen

I`ve read many stories where the MC transmigrates into the role of a parent and switches the whole parent-child dynamic in the matter of days. This to me feels too forced escpecially when the OG-owners of the bodies are neglient or abusive. The idea that almost none of those children had a psycological shadow from the abuse of the parent (s) feels too fake. In this novel they actually adress the consequences of a terrible parenting. Many novels even though they adress the problem, the problem often gets solved unrealistically... more>> fast. Bad parenting has real, complicated and long term consequences. Great character development and really a sweet novel. You see how JT started out with a bad relationship with her children -and yes they didn't immediately accept and forgive- and how JT doesn't know how to take care of them, will make mistakes, and gradually they will become closer and both children and mother would come to treat each other as such. --- slightly spoiler ---

It's not dog blood drama relatively relaxing. Especially like liang shen-second child- hahahahaaa some conversations was really funny. And at first ten or so chapters different from the rest of the novel. It's not about system tell and MC have to do. MC has a strong personality and I think it's believable that at first she couldn't accept the children. So it's up to you but it's a good novel.
