After becoming the stand-in for the ‘White Moonlight’, the real ‘White Moonlight’ has returned.

Qiao Wan has always understood that she is the substitute for Mu Xiaoxiao, the younger martial sister of the Kunshan Sect, whom they found as a replacement after Mu Xiaoxiao passed away.

Surprising because its another strong female lead story. The first 100 chapters were interesting but the romance is really extremely slow. I skipped to the end to try to find the male lead and she actually meets him eaely on but not even a kiss for 100 chapters. The slow burn is a bit painful

I don't usually write reviews but for how lowkey this is, this is a really good novel. Instead of relying on others our MC, focuses on herself and self improvement. She doesn't care what others think about her but she is completely focused on getting stronger and to become self reliant. Her interactions with other characters are also interesting and the pain, suffering, and bad social circumstances are intriguing to watch unfold.

I am writing this review with hopes that it becomes more popular and *fingers crossed* makes the translator release... more>> chapters more frequently. This novel is definitely worth reading if you like the xianxia trope and like self sufficent characters who don't get everything completely handed to them from the plot. <<less

Overall, I enjoyed reading this novel (around 100 chapters [still haven’t finished reading the whole novel])

P.S. This novel would be a disappointment if you were looking for romance

MC has a strong and independent character which would make the reader want to cheer for her.

It was ridiculous how MC was driven to a corner at times

Once, when she left the sect, how many elders wanted her dead (imprisoned) just because she was possessed (pure blooded demon) even though one of the original male leads is a pure blooded demon and was accepted despite that just because the original female lead brought him

A second time when she released the seal on her magi/magic/demonic qi in order to save everyone and had to recover alone in order not to get possessed but that was ruined because the original female lead and the phoenix original male lead came to see her. When the phoenix saw her real face which was similar to the original female lead, he immediately wanted to kill her and called her fake even though he already knows that she left the sect and cut ties with her master so she basically has nothing to do with the original female lead anymore! Anyway, seeing the original female lead along with the phoenix trying to kill her, MC ended up getting possessed again and in the end had to leave right away (and no one blamed these 2 for entering her room while she was recovering)

Of course, in both times, there were people on her side but hey, she had to leave in the end.

This is personal, there wasn’t much Romance

The main focus is on how MC wants to cultivate and save/help people and her character development as she meets people and get acquainted with them along the way.

as I was looking for some dark romance (kidnapping, confinement, escaping, r*pe...), I couldn’t appreciate it 100%...

There are many potential male leads... but they all don’t seem to have romantic feelings for her (except for the original male lead who is MC’s ex-boyfriend) and MC isn’t interested in romance at all, she is only interested in cultivation, getting stronger and upholding justice.

Overall was good but the ending wasn't satisfying. It felt a bit rash especially romance between MC and ML.

in extra, MC was suspicious drug/plotting by nonexistent monsters (?) out of nowhere and sleeping with ML then there no more details

another point that upset me the most is, from the beginning to the end of story MC always been abused (to the point I wondered why wasn't she blackened yet) and there no one truly there for her

Oh way okay. This novel is superb. While finishing the 300+ chapters, the only ‘flaw’ which actually doesn’t really matter, is the lack of actual romance. There are multiple love interests, such as OG ML and a dragon man. She does have a ml, but it is near the end, I won’t spoil. Regardless our MC here has a

a great character growth. She is devoid of emotion, cold but ultimately, hurt due to the many instances in which people push her into a corner. Though I will admit this novel... more>> had my heart in motion reading it. One certain scene

was the cherry on top. What a heart warming experience. Despite this “coldness” and ‘ruthlessness’ that she shows, she also feels like a person. She is not completely stoic, she feels emotionally isolated even though she knows important information about the OG novel, she still has lingering feelings for all, despite denying it.

From the beginning to the end, our MC constantly is put through hardships, though unlike other reviewers saying this is a con, I find it actually a good plot point. As despite this, she grows and matures into a stronger person, which as it is a cultivation novel only makes sense. <<less

It was great for the past 100 chapters. Then it was like a huge chunk of the story went missing. I'm not sure if this is the case or not, but after chapter 102 none of it made any sense.

After trying to get Cen Qingyou back and failing, people approached the FL and offered to help her IF she did them a favor. Suddenly, it switches it a scene where the FL is speaking to all these people including ones from her past, but there was no indication of a time skip. After that, it goes back to the time where FL was previously and gives the impression that she might be trapped in an illusion within her own head and her body is being controlled by darkness. However, none of this is addressed. To my knowledge Cen Qingyou never appears again, and all of a sudden she's hitting on the ML and running away from him when he was trying to help her get rid of the dark energy.

Plus, there is a part where a woman feels up the FL's male clone and the FL doesn't resist thinking she wished she had stuff other girls had. That really threw me off. The girl is goofy but she isn't s*upid. It was explained even before she regained her memories of her previous life, that she was exposed to inappropriate things at a young age. This may be mistranslation becuase it was on MTL, (I went to check chapter 124 and so on to see if it was an illusion), but it wasn't to the point where I couldnt understand what was happening.

Pretty great. The MC is very strong, determined and truly harsh on herself. A lot of funny moments. What I don't like is the fact that is the fact that it started out as not-a-revenge-fantasy/p*rn and then turned towards that. It's always worse when they give you hope.

? Contrary to other reviews I don't see the MC as unfeeling? She's also yearning for romance. A lot of the humor comes from her straight face and muscles but girlish inclinations. She also spends a lot of time thinking about her crushes.... more>> I don't mean it as a bad thing. Just saying she's pretty romantic and there is foreshadowing. I just didn't like who the ML is lol.

So I dropped it for personal pet peeves. It's still a 4 out of 5. <<less

Its a 3.5

Story is packed with action and events as well as some funny moments but is really thin in romance. There is also this tendency to go towards reverse harem setting which is not well developed. There are romantic thoughts but romantic developments are bare for the FL or at least not well expressed.
FL is hard working but also quite goofy.
