Crown Prince Heir X Illegitimate Child

Zhao Shengge x Chen Wan

Chen Wan is smooth and tactful in dealing with people, relying on thoroughness and reliability to work his way into the crown prince circle. Wherever he is, even the humidity in the air feels just right.

All his efforts are not because he hopes Zhao Shengge will like him. Chen Wan seeks neither recognition nor credit. Zhao Shengge does not even need to know who he is. It is enough for Chen Wan to occasionally see him from afar within the same circle.

A friend, frustrated at his lack of ambition, asks: What are you after?

“Nothing,” Chen Wan smiles, holding firmly to his own unshakable creed of secret love. “If I have to say, then I just want that wherever I am, it can make him feel a little more at ease and happy.”

Zhao Shengge is heaven’s favored son, holding high status and great power. Chen Wan knows his place best. For something completely impossible, he does not allow himself even the slightest fantasy, and believes he has done everything flawlessly without leaving a trace.

At an auction, Chen Wan stays hidden in the crowd, offering polite greetings along with others. When he picks up something the other has dropped, he entrusts a friend to return it. When someone tries to use him to get closer to Zhao Shengge, he apologetically explains that the other party does not actually know him.

That is what he truly believes.

Until, on a cruise ship, the other man bites down on a cigarette and looks at him quietly and slowly. “Chen Wan, I didn’t bring a lighter.”

On the surface, it seems like the gong is being pursued, but in reality, the gong calmly guides the other into chasing him. A push-and-pull between adults, circling and probing, with undercurrents running deep. Between the two of them, there are eight hundred schemes in total.

Beautiful story. I don't even have the words to describe how good it was. I love the MC and ML's relationship, and the tension they had before they got together kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot was so interesting. I loved almost all of the side characters, and the villains were very well written. 10/10, no notes, except that I wish it was longer.

This novel is a mix of emotions from longing, sadness, and happiness.

Everything in it was written with detail and researched. From business practices & laws to the each of the characters' respective fields.

The author's writing style is filled with complex feelings, and a sense of maturity.

If the author wants you to feel sentimental. Oh, they will make you feel it.

The protagonists:

Chen Fang & Zhao Shengge are round and dynamic characters. Whose personalities and actions are thoughtfully written.

This a very poetic and beautifully written work, and while I feel there are many parts to the novel that could have been expanded upon, the sour taste while reading and the sweet lingering aftertaste does still make it a very enjoyable read. Definitely recommend reading from Changpei as well, as the inline comments for this novel really make it so much more enjoyable, seeing people poking fun at Zhao Shengge's princess behavior haha! Onto the review though-

Within this story, the MC Chen Wan quietly observes the ML Zhao Shengge... more>> for years with only the hope to make him more comfortable in his presence. After Zhao Shengge starts taking notice of this quiet follower, he initially believes Chen Wan to be like everyone else and wanting something from him in exchange, but after watching him further, he realizes that Chen Wan expects nothing from him and further believes himself to be unworthy of even his notice. From this point on, he begins to quite directly pursue Chen Wan, chasing after him with a relentless kind of determination. The two of them have a very engaging push and pull between them, and I absolutely loved the way that Zhao Shengge affirmed Chen Wan's worth and supported him. He really made me cry for so long over how wonderful a partner he was when I finished. Truly, the strongest part of this novel is in Zhao Shengge's characterization, as he's really unique from the average domineering CEO gong type! For a secret love novel, you really need to have a love interest that's worth pining for, and Zhao Shengge is definitely that.

I love in particular how petty this ML could get, and even a bit mean. The moment in the airport where he gets annoyed at a kid crying and decides to get up and buy that toy just to take it for himself is one of the most memorably funny moments of a ML I've read. He's not that nice, and especially in bed can be pretty dominant and teasing, though it's never to an excessive degree. At the same time, he's genuinely such a good lover, and is always trying to understand and even teach Chen Wan how to love. He isn't able to just magically know what Chen Wan needs, and is a really active driver in building their relationship.

The characters are overall quite multi-dimensional, and Chen Wan's past especially had my heart in pain, though I do think there could have been a bit more time exploring both their characters, as the plot of this is a bit short. While it's mostly relationship centered, there's a bit of action and drama with the business plot in the background (though personally I didn't enjoy the business plot too much), and it's overall an engaging and well paced read. The title of this novel is quite beautiful in meaning, with our protagonist finally receiving a letter back from his idol, or in other words, his feelings returned - To Keats. <<less

im crying at the title like what does keanu reeves have to do with this 😭 I searched it and found out that it's actually a chinese song lmao, , im very intrigued at the synopsis since I love mutual pining sm. Gonna update this review once im done reading!

update:

i loved it. Romance is really slow on this one but the pace felt real and natural to me. I liked how ML didn't suddenly "fall in love" with MC like the other novels, but spent time to really know MC... more>> (albeit MC is very mysterious so he didn't really uncover much, but that's what made him like MC). I also like that the characters have a life outside romance (like MC being rlly busy doing work, or when MC and ML did business together, and MC knows that his feelings for ML and business are two different things). I love this trope so much where it's like "He fell first, but he fell harder", then there's the mutual pining where both parties are oblivious to each other's feelings (not entirely oblivious, just confused lmao). Overall, I give it 5 stars. I highly recommend it.

i also interpret the title as like the feeling if you receive a letter from your idol (e.g. Keanu reeves), you get all excited and giddy because you never expected to receive it. In this case, it's MC getting all giddy cuz his very long hidden love is actually reciprocated by his idol ML. But idk that's js my idea HAHAHA <<less

If there are any extras I can't find them. I checked on gongzi but it's not listed either : (

It's an emotionally intense novel about Chen Wan who has been morbidly, deeply in love with Zhao Shengge and how Zhao Shengge falls back in love.

Chen Wan basically has a maximum inferiority complex, he's never had love so he doesn't expect love and is also kind of mentally ill. He'll set himself on fire to make ZSG happy but will never confess or trouble ZSG.

ZSG is actually low-key a tsundere. Because... more>> we're often in Chen Wan's pov, it's easy to forget that ZSG has genuinely no idea what Chen Wan is thinking. Chen Wan is so good at hiding his love, ZSG has to try and tease it out. He's sort of a bully in the process but Chen Wan also doesn't really have the most normal mental processes so it's push and pull.

They're both crazy tbh but somehow it balances out. I enjoyed the mutual codependency but I still found the novel a little unsatisfying. There's narratively no loose ends but it feels like I was eating a delicious meal only for the waiter to clear my unfinished plate when I looked away. <<less

The story was more intense than I expected and MC was really determined to stay in his lane no matter what. This was a real slow burn but the romance hit the right notes.

Spoiler

I liked how ML didn't hold back in trying to be on equal ground with MC, even if it meant pushing MC out of where he was hiding. He didn't want to just be loved from afar but kind of forced MC to face him equally.

[collapse]

Special shoutout goes to MC's best friend who supported him throughout everything, he was a real one. ML's posey of friends were also interesting. I thought that there was a potential love rival in
Spoiler

QZT but he seemed to back off immediately towards the end.

[collapse]

I'm not sure if my shipping lens were too strong but
Spoiler

there's just something going on between SZN and TYM? I mean who always shares phones with their close friends to the point of taking their phone out of their friend's pocket. And then they are always together, driving the same car, travelling together and SZN also wrapped him up in scarf and gloves towards the end. I dug the author's works and found that this couple has a story. Just not written yet. It's been a year already, so who knows.

[collapse]

I also liked how the ending was not overly drawn out as that can make a good story fizzle into something boring. The business jargon kind of went over my head but I'm glad MC had the closure he needed on his end.
Spoiler

Kind of conflicted over his mother whom I didn't like but she was a victim of her circumstances. In the end, they were better off living their own lives independent of each other.

So overall, a really good read. <<less

When I saw the title, it made me laugh

So I decided to give this novel a try, to see what it's about

. At first I thought it would be a fanfic about the actor Keanu Reeves but surprisingly it's not. Since I read the mtl version of it, there might be some information that I've missed or misinterpreted but I still don't know why the title is named that way. But I feel like the novel is very very sweet in its own way or at least that's how I... more>> felt when I read it. Really thankful that I gave this novel a try cuz boy was it good. The relationship between the MC and ML to me is very endearing and sweet. Is there sweeter relationships out there, yes but given the circumstances the MC and ML have been through, I think it made their relationship more meaningful and sweet.

The starting point might be a tad slow but trust me it's worth it. There'll be parts where you'll be infuriated with side characters but their ending to me is well deserved albeit a bit fast paced but I think that was not the main point of the story.

To whoever that's reading this review, I know my review might be a little confusing but trust me, give this novel a try <<less

Holy shit.

Came in with extremely high expectations because this was exploding on Weibo with the CD drama and all and was NOT disappointed. This is truly one of the most satisfying, fulfilling romances you'll read albeit with a bit of unrealistic charm that was similar to ESUTLYM, but in my opinion, a lot more well done.

I mainly want to focus on how their relationship developed over all the pining. Don't get me wrong, I've always and will always prefer the pining/pre relationship phase more than the post.. But in this... more>> novel, oh my god, I simply, I shed tears and screenshotted so many scenes because of how touched I was.

My baby Chen Wan only deserved the best, and Zhao Shengge, his star, his Keanu Reeves, his everything gave it to him. Gave him what he deserved, gave him every ounce of love he will ever need.

Seriously one of the best BEST written MLs ever. I personally dislike Lu Heyang from eternities unsaid because I feel like XZ and LHY never unraveled themselves completely or go deep into why they have so many issues but in reply to keats, oh my mother, it's so well done.

Chen Wan is a freak, and honestly Shengge is a loser, even a clown, he's seriously funny but also pitiful. Chen Wan is a freak.

Freaks love like crazy, he's selfless in a way that's selfish, he loves in a way that's more easy to understand but hard to digest— and all these problems, Zhao Shengge didn't brush them off and decide that a bit of s*x and coercing will resolve everything— no.

Zhao Shengge never really knew everything, he's not omniscient, he didn't grasp Chen Wan's character in one go, he didn't understand, he was confused he was in a state of turmoil, he isn't a perfect lover.

But he never stopped trying to understand Chen Wan, he took it in himself that how much Chen Wan understands him, he'll do the same. How much Chen Wan wants to make him happy, he'll do the same to make Chen Wan happy. Overall, what Zhao Shengge wants is to love Chen Wan wholeheartedly, love him until he feels worth enough to accept Zhao Shengge whole.

It's so goddamn beautiful.

I'm seriously, I was so invested in them I didn't really pay attention to the MingShen CP despite its popularity, Shengge and Chen Wan have seriously.. Ugh.

Please read this gem. It's worth the hype. <<less

I just finished reading this novel and words can't explain how beautiful it was. There wasn't a single thing about this novel that I didn't like.

The name of the novel "A Letter from Keanu Reeves" is taken from a song of the same name by Fiona Sit. I would recommend listening to the song once before starting the novel. The song is about how Fiona Sit writes letters to Keanu Reeves over the years even though she thinks she'll never recieve a reply. But in the second verse, it is... more>> shown that Keanu Reeves writes back.

This novel is also the same. Chen Wan's unrequited love was just like that. Preserving, unwavering and determined, never hoping for something in return but eventually his Keanu Reeves does write back. This novel is also called "Reply to Keats" and Keats is the english name of Chen Wan.

The way Chen Wan's unrequited love is portrayed is both beautiful and painful. He really suffered a lot throughout his life.

This novel definitely deserves to be known more and appreciated by more people. So, do give it a try. <<less

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

It was sooo beautiful. Nicely written.

It’s definitely... There.

To start off I wanted to badly love this like everyone told me I would, but it fell so flat after the first 20 chapters.

There’s almost no angst, my connection to the MC was limited and the writing was extremely repetitive. The mc’s trauma was glazed over again and again that I couldn’t squeeze out any compassion for his endless feelings for the ml. I think the lack of details for their backstory played a major part in how lackluster the whole story was. The reason why he... more>> crushes on the ML was also a “blink and you miss it” scene. In terms of the writing style, if you don’t mind the non commitment to anticipation, shallow plots, boring dialogue, long scenes that hold little importance, overpowered ML and constant repetition of it, you could enjoy this novel. However, I definitely couldn’t. Another issue I had was the telling, telling... and guess what? More telling! I need the author to be able to show their characteristics through some kind of action before explaining they own a certain trait to make them more fleshed out and authentic. At one point the narration was straight up telling me to add thunder as a sound effect when there was a supposed, heart dropping moment. Genuinely frowned so hard at it. The writing is nowhere near poetic as the reviews suggest it to be. My only comments on certain parts was “I’ve read better.”

Some parts I was pleased with was the fact that they’re perfect for each other. I believe that Zhao Shengge can only be able to let someone love him if they loved him as much as Chen Wan does. And fortunately, only Chen Wan can love him the most. The cruise scene with the lighter was the iconic cinematic scene of the whole story. It had so much tension and tenderness that I craved again throughout the rest of the novel. I’m still sulking that it did not deliver. Additionally, Chen Wan is definitely not just a devoted lover like he believes he is. He has his own issues and motives for carrying out his duties and revenge in the mask of protecting Zhao Shengge; it works for him and that’s exactly what expands and complexes his character.

Anyway, I don’t regret checking it out because I felt too much fomo from not knowing, however, it was not satisfactory in the slightest. I tried brute forcing my way to the end but I really couldn’t finish it... <<less

Honestly I hadn't expected much from the title. Seemed like a wish fulfilment fanfic but I know now how much I would have regretted it if I had not read the synopsis. Its a very tender hearted novel. I love how the MC is not a saint. You understand his motivation and reason for acting the way he does. The interactions between the MC and ML felt wierd at first but then you realise that the ML doesn't even know the MC. The MC leaves no weak spots and the... more>> ML literally have to dig deep to figure out the MC. Honestly, its a very engaging. Its a slow burn but it doesn't feel like one cause it's paced so well. Outside of the romance, there are actual things happening. The ML is kinda mean sometimes tho (but our MC is also pretty unhinged) all in all, they pair suprisingly well. Their dynamic is a lot more mature and refined which is a breath of fresh air. <<less

I don't regret reading this novel. Chen Wan (MC) has really been through too much. ML is so damned lucky to have caught his attention.

We enter the story not knowing anything about MC or ML. On the surface, MC is very well liked, helpful, amiable, and good at many different things. I really thought he was an event organizer at first. It wasn't until later that I realized something was a little odd. When ML made his appearance, to be precise.

Slowly, the ballad of Chen Wan started to play like... more>> a record in my head. All the things he did. All the things he does. Yet he never once claimed any credit, nor did he want anything in return.

ML is such a person. From being indifferent, to unwillingly intrigued, to hooked, and finally, pursuit. He was really patient, pulling MC's strings to refocus. Haha... ML always wants MC's attention on him.

Between the two, I felt closer to MC. ML was a little harder for me to connect with.

This is a story about unrequited, obsessive love. Recommend for those who like a bit of slow burn + obsessive characters. <<less

Another underated novel which deserves to be explored and adore! Where should I start? The push and pull, the nerves tingling poking around the house or the most frustrating MC of all times? Sigh... no matter what I'm in love with the writing style of the author! Both MC and ML are mature adults who mind their own business and took care of them by themselves! Our MC is not weak and a rare bright person who like to rely on himself. Although he's been totally head over the heels... more>> for ML, he doesn't pester or pursue him! He kept what he deemed as a safe distance between them and I love and hate that setting at the same time! It's a catch 22 situation! 4 stars for the writing and our leads' mesmerizing personalities! The weakness here is the setting with the gangsters and black market plot which I found the author need a stonger building! I am kind of disappointed, it sounded like this was the type of novel I adore but it ended up falling short. I just couldn't connect with the characters, there is something in the way it is written that feels lacking. That's not to say it is bad, I enjoyed it, but it just didn't feel touching. Sometimes it felt too cheesy. For me, a certain emotional depth is needed for the angst to truly move me. I don't think this has that. It is an angsty novel indeed, but... more>> I didn't feel moved by it even if it made me cry. I don't really know how to explain it. Lol.

I enjoyed ML's patience and I don't quite mind the way MC loved him. But sometimes writers write things rather than showing us and letting us feel it. And I think that's what happened here. It has some beautiful moments of imagery, but there's just that.

I would still recommend this story if you are looking for an angsty story with HE. Just don't expect it to be extremely deep. <<less

This novel should have had more warning tags!! It contains a lot of unpopular triggering tropes.

First, this is straight up angst for the half of novel, the whole story is about the bottom having a one-sided love to the top, and the author keeps talking about how he acts so prima and proper and doesn't want to make the top feel burdened by his love, and bot also have major self-worth issues. And the whole time the top thinks the bot is evil bc he can't "see through" his... more>> facade. So it's just constant angst where every step the top makes can determine his feelings, which is often sadness bc the top is a heartless CEO.

Major trigger here is that top is a cold heartless person the whole half of the chapter, and did not really show any major interest in the bot, more so just suspicion. Secondly, there's a lot of power dynamic which I don't like, Top is like the biggest CEO of the novel and everyone around him keeps bowing down to him. The author also constantly mentions that he's a very picky CEO bc he's that big of a deal, like he doesn't eat food prepared for him. If he says he like something once, everyone is shocked.

The part where I dropped this novel is the part where the top finally show interest in the bot, and it was bc the bot got into an accident. The whole plot just didn't really make sense and the progression of their relationship wasn't well written.

Honestly, If you like novels about angst of a bot with self worth issues simping for a jerk top, and the top constantly misunderstands the bot, then this novel is totally for you! Although I've never read erha before, from the reviews and plot I feel like this novel is very similar, just from the bot's perspective. <<less

A masterpiece.

I usually don’t write reviews but I just had to because his novel is so beautifully written. I’ve encountered a lot of stories losing its essence because of the translation was, but the translator delivered here !! So please, if you’re unsure whether to read this, I’m telling you right now that you should !!!!!

All of the characters are well-written, they aren’t flat. I loved the interactions between the main characters and the side characters. They felt so real and human. Especially the bond between Chen Wan and Zhuo... more>> Zhixuan.

I also loved the business aspect of the novel (which some may not enjoy). You can really tell that the author didn’t write things half-heartedly. Also, the characters’ backstory added depth and nuance, rather than simply being there to make us feel pity. I actually never even felt pity for Chen Wan and Zhao Shengge because of how the author portrayed them !! I felt admiration and, like Shengge, compassion.

And you know, I love how Shengge never felt burdened by Wan’s love. Rather, he tried his best to make up for things he missed and he never really got hung up by “what could’ve been”.

Anyway, I really want to read this novel for the first time again :,) <<less

Mount Fuji is really not far away. Loved this. Picked this up because of the keanu reeves jokes and I'm glad for that. Early chapters can be confusing if u read the AI translation so I suggest to find other mtls as there are plenty others that translates better.

Called me biased but I love Chen Wan because of how reckless he is, the way he is unconsciously avoidant yet is doing it on purpose at times, self-destructive despite saying that he is self aware of his behaviour and does nothing... more>> to change it, putting others above himself yet keeps a distance to everyone.

Is he a people pleaser? Absolutely, he needs that to survive because that's all he knows. To survive, not to enjoy life which is why his behaviour is seen as frustrating and unmoving. He thinks himself as undeserving of everything yet fail to realise how much others cherish him and vice versa. But he's also unapologetically ruthless and use this facade to his own advantage.

I recommend reading this novel only if you're not at your lowest because this will pull you down even further. Not that angsty as in drama in my opinion but in the sense of the emotions and realisticness of the characters. Please give this book a try!! <<less

Definitely trigger warnings. I'm not going to explicitly say what but at least you can expect what you can expect. (I think someone recently said that this is an angsty novel... I feel like they have never read a real angsty novel... This isn't even close. To a real angsty novel. I think they forgot that to create emotions you need to have purpose and to have purpose you have to have reasons and our main characters have reasons why they act certain ways to make us feel certain ways... more>> and not feel like oh the author's just making it up so we feel shit. But the characters himself actually have a reason why they're compelling each other. Angst has to do with oh yeah they definitely drama that is like compelled because of circumstances and aren't necessarily because of the characters in my opinion. And sometimes because of bad decisions from the characters which I don't think.. this novel really had anything like that.. it was obvious you can tell from the summary or the synopsis that the main character has a one-sided love for this guy so you can expect that LOL. Just you know reading comprehension guys

.... Oh my God like no the guy is not heartless. The male lead is not heartless. The man literally just doesn't know the main character!!! Why should he care about him?? Just because the main character likes him? This guy is the Pinnacle of success and Good looks. He needs to be also interested so he needs to gain that interest no duh. I swear you guys reading comprehension... You guys need to understand how books are made and how people think and feel? Just because the male lead is the male lead does not mean the male lead knows that he's the male lead for the main character. So he is not heartless in this particular scenario because he does not know but suspects that this random person likes him but how many people have liked him in his lifetime get real. He is someone of status that has always had someone who's liked him. He is not heartless or is he would not even talk to the main character. If you have ever dated or Or are a good looking person, then you would easily understand what's going on. In this novel)

But I actually think this novel is kind of really chill. It's because the way it's written is more is literary Style which I prefer because it makes the writing just seem like they actually put effort. And know how to write. There's a lot of in between that you have to pick up on and it helps when the other characters kind of talk more about it but it's still that kind of like grasping what's being said in between or happening in between. I really like that style. It makes it not too dramatic and also not too casual and gives a sense of mystery and a little bit of tension. Just perfect really.

Second note I want to make is do not let any "translator group" (because there's very little real ones nowadays I would only say that flower site has real translators and some couple other ones that have probably not stayed together anymore) gaslight you into thinking you have to pay for their chapters considering they didn't even write the chapter and they definitely didn't translate it because AI did it for this one. Just do it yourself. But besides that, I really like this book because it seems like it's pretty dark but it actually just references things in the past and it obviously has that like literary style to keep it deep but not dark. And it's very romance focused. If this guy was not high EQ and good looking, yeah he would be a typical stalker LOL. Kind of creepy not even kind of but.... Luckily this is a romance. And it definitely has that flavor of SM kind of but not seriously so don't actually come into that if you really like that stuff. But it also has you know yandere just a sprinkle of it and kind of those kind of themes... You can imagine they're both kind of people who grew up and kind of terrible families so they have that trauma.... But it's not ever a focus but it is a cause.

I think this book is so healthy in so many ways.. There's like no female villains necessarily and there's no putting females eyes your rivals and as pretty not a misogynistic book. Which I hope happens more often in BL books. And also mental health is being very normalized... I also think he has a really good best friend who gives him genuine advice. And the emotional issues between him and the ML in terms of the relationship issues are actually really relatable. If you've ever been with or met someone who doesn't know how to receive love it can be frustrating because it seems like an unequal relationship. So that's kind of how it is even if it seems dramatize it's actually really real LOL. And it's never written to dramatically and misunderstandings never stay too long... It's just normal kind of length for healthy adults. And they're both like older people like I think they're both over 30 or something which I didn't realize until a lot later which is kind of refreshing. Because they don't really necessarily like act like that at the same time.. Like it's not a focus so no real ageism. Although I have to say like the dark themes are kind of dark but they just you know talk about it like it happened in the past because it did. So luckily we don't actually have to go through that personally I appreciate that because I don't need to do that in order to appreciate and feel emotional value to where they are now.

It's a very cutthroat kind of novel though especially at the end. They are not like the best people in the world but you know they are people who do right for themselves. Look I'm all for getting an eye for an eye especially in a novel where they deserve it. But even if that's not your taste, I would say that's like literally 5% of the novel and most of the novel is pretty much the romance. And the romance I think is really intriguing and just I love this book I really do.

Also if anyone knows where the extras from the actual author are if there are any for real... Please DM me. Because I don't know if the extras are real or not but if they are I want to read them. LOL <<less

It took me a long time to decide if I was going to read this book, because lately, I've gotten tired of MCs chasing seemingly unfeeling or tsundere MLs and the MLs trying very little, but somehow, they wind up together at the end. I'm so glad I took a chance on this book, though.

Chen Wan was madly in love with Zhao Shengge, but he didn't show his love by pathetically clinging on to the ML or by constantly interfering in the ML's life. Instead, he quietly took care of... more>> Shengge. He made sure Shengge's favorite foods and drinks were available at group gatherings. He made sure the air temperature was just right. He made sure to give Shengge honey tea when he was sick. He did all these little things but never claimed credit for it, because his only wish was to make sure Shengge was safe and happy. However, despite doing things in secret, eventually Shengge started to notice how well Chen Wan seemed to know him.

While initially, Shengge was cold to Chen, when he realized how much Chen Wan cared for him and how pure and honest his love was, he made it his mission to show Chen Wan the same kind of love. And considering Chen's traumatic upbringing, I think this was so important. Chen Wan had never been truly loved so seeing Shengge show Chen that no matter what he did, Shengge would stand by him through everything was amazing.

I truly enjoyed this couple because of how well they fit together and how accepting they were of each other's flaws and possible psychopathy. I also like that there was never a dull moment. There was a good balance between romance and the actual plot of the story. So, for those wondering if they should start this book, go ahead and start reading. You won't regret taking a chance. If you want a calm, strong MC who loves unconditionally, this is the book for you. If you want a MC who believes in an eye for an eye and a ML who will provide that eye on a platter for the MC, this is the book for you. <<less

Nothing to say, I just love everything about this novel. I actually have been hesitating to read this for a while for no apparent reason. I'm so glad I ran out of having something to read and just "screw it I'm going to start and see if I like it or not" when I was still deciding. This is one of those novels that once you started, you ought to just go on and on until the end. Start reading now, you have nothing to lose.

it's true that not everyone is equipped to handle people with mental illness. MC can be quite off-putting (his stalkerish behaviour (waiting at the airport after guessing ml's flight which he wasn't supposed to know about and followed his car for awhile; knowing ml's preferences from observing him when they were not close and never even properly talked to each other; sneakily wiping/cleaning the robot ML made when he was a student. In short, he did harmless things, but personally they made me frown a bit), and obsessing over anything... more>> related to ml, his stubbornness, his self-destructive behaviour), fortunately, as ml's friend said, "what kind of pot goes with what kind of lid", after finding out mc's had been in love with him for so long without them knowing each other and MC finding out his preferences through sheer observations and 🌟the power of love🌟 (not from openly communicating with ml), he fell even harder for him. There are also non-s*xual d/s scenes here and there since MC is very stubborn and difficult to handle ML had to threaten him every now and then. <<less
