One day, however, he is judged by the selfish king to be a liability and expelled from the heroic party.

Ned decides to start as an adventurer from scratch. But his life as an adventurer is naturally out of the ordinary, as he is adored and connected with everyone from the leader of the knights to the princess of the mermaid tribe…

‘Can I get help from the Wisdom King and the Great Sage to find this person?’

Meanwhile, the King is coming to a realization. The heroes’ party was full of capable, but incredibly problematic children, and that it was Ned that controlled them..

I do not understand the reason behind this one star spam- The rating for this series should not be 3.5 (as it is while I write).

I will admit, this series is not for everyone. The MC isn't overpowered, there is somewhat of a lack of action and though it definitely isn't slow-paced, it isn't actively fast either- a series that takes its time. The dialogue does feel a bit stuck-up and corny sometimes (when they talk abt connections as a motto or superpower, it feels weird, might just be me... more>> though), but the characters are great, especially the ones from the harem (they honestly don't even feel like a harem, just a bunch of people, interested in MC), there is nice bouncing dialogue between the characters, the MC is absolutely wonderful and I love seeing him get sh*t done without actually doing it himself, such a unique novel premise. MC feels like a more OP MC than if he was actually overpowered with some god-given cheat cos he actually worked for his strength of connections.

If you like a weak but insanely clever protagonist who uses connections to get work done, read this, if you prefer action, adventure, OP protag, or hate harem- please avoid- and also if you rated this a 1-star... just cmon... whats wrong with you? <<less

I actually read a bit into the manga version of this and... I did not like it, but I gave it another chance. And well... I still did not like it. Though I think it is a tiny bit better than the manga, it isn't enough for 4 stars. The reason why this novel is okay is because it succeeds in being generic. The plot direction was bad, and the characters... are well... typical JPN meta beta characters.

Well this is a story were while the MC is shown as being super weak the MC is still super OP (in his own way) and loved by all the girls for little to no reason. Like the MC is depicted as being 18 years old with average looks and no ability except for being the best at personal relationships. Still the MC often acts offensive or at least not in a friendly or social manner that you would except someone with a cheat called personal relations instead he often... more>> appears anti-social to some degree. It also becomes a bit strange timewise with him only being 18 and the story often depicting that traveling takes a long time days or weeks of constant traveling but somehow he has connected with and upheld close relationship with several hundreds even close to a thousand of which most are the most powerful or well connected people all over the world oh and of course all the most beautiful and powerful women are all crazy about him.

But again there is no explanation as to why anyone likes him outside of him being the MC. It all becomes a bit weird because you'd expect the MC to show some mad social skills with the story being about the MC's social skills but instead it becomes more of a deus ex machina effect or plot armor effect where random problem is solved or random person appear because MC somehow made a connection with X people before the story started in someway, almost never explained.

The story is overall a generic jp fantasy novel where the MC get's kicked out of the hero party for silly reasons and then goes on to become even more successful and starting a harem later on. Just that in this case it wasn't the party that kicked him out instead it was the king of a country that wanted the MC's party for himself and thought the MC was useless so he just told the MC the party was now his and the MC could leave which he did. <<less

This is the story of a pretty standard fantasy: hero parties, demon kings, adventurer guilds, kings, magic, special weapons, etc. The MC wants to be a hero but is personally weak and untalented at magic and combat. The MC uses the power of "connections" to help others and receive favors, making friends wherever he goes due to his sincerity and assistance.

The mood is fairly light hearted, and gives an optimistic feeling with a key theme being people are stronger together and everyone needs help sometimes. The plot in each of... more>> the first 2 volumes focuses on heroines who are in trouble but are trying to ignore the problem or handle it on their own. Ned won't leave them alone and uses his connections to save them, but more importantly causing a change in their mentality to let them succeed on their own.

It's not a particularly deep story, with the characters (especially the villains) being somewhat one dimensional. But it's a nice read. <<less
