So, I already read this traumatizing novel before and vowed to myself that I'm never coming back. But here I am crying, broken-hearted, sad, lonely, and depressed. From start to end, you can feel the obsession of YQL toward WZ. But I tell you...

If YQL is obsessed, then WZ is hopelessly in love. It may be like Stockholm Syndrome but WZ also cared so much he wanted to die.

The ending really hurt me. From WZ's perspective, he can't live for an eternity with YQL but as much as he wanted to stay, death is unforgiving. YQL can't die and so he wanted WZ to live no matter the cost. But still, he only managed to prolong WZ's life. Immortality is really cruel.

This novel was a one of a kind. It didn't make a new concept but the storytelling was so superb, it destroyed my psyche one chapter at a time. As they say, too much love will kill you in the end.

finished- April 4th, 2024, - 3 AM.

Once in a while, I re-read this short novel and remeber how much it makes me cry. I forgot how much the ending always years my heart apart. My throat swells up and my eyes water when I near the end when the realization sets in for what's going to happen. Today, I decided to re-read it at 3 am and I've never cried this much in a long time.

The short novel is gruesome, silly, romantic (in a way), bittersweet and reminds you of... more>> your own mortality. There are scenes that leave me shocked and reeling from the sheer brutality of the ML but the novel keeps me locked in between MC and ML's dynamic with each other. Their dynamic is a bit odd but keeps you hooked as you progress further through the story.

It's not everyone's cup of tea but I believe it deserves a chance to be read.

I think the ending was perfect for this novel and makes it all the more heart breaking. If the author choose to end this novel with the MC was still alive, then it wouldn't quite have the same impact. Readers wouldn't have to see the consequence of MC and ML's different lifespan. They could assume that they just lived happily forever and everything turns perfect.

I think the author probably considered this as well. There's a passage in the novel from chapter 12 that perfectly describes my feelings about the ending,

"Similarly, if Wu Zhi vanished in front of Ye Qingling's eyes, before he clearly witnessed his death, no one could be certain if Wu Zhi was alive or dead. This fuzziness would be magnified, and may even defeat the intervention of time — Even if it was a long, long time later, long enough that normally, he should have died of old age, that person could still assume that he was still living happily at a certain corner on Earth. "

Personally, I don't consider the ending to be bad or happy. It's just quite literally... the end. Which rips my heart to pieces knowing it's the end and they'll never see each other again. ML is forced to miss and cling on to the memory of MC for eternity.

This short story was one heck of a rollercoaster. My facial expression was stuck between *shocked pikachu* and *frown* throughout the process of reading it because I was caught feeling horrified, disgusted and sometimes just plain confused at the whole development. I even began questioning why I even tried reading this short story that felt like a very long ride to somewhere.

It was a trainwreck waiting to happen and the end of it was truly perfect for them. There was no other way I saw it ending than the way... more>> the author wrote it. As bittersweet and tragic it may have been, I believe that it was the most logical and realistic end to their twisted love story. While it may be a BE for many, for me, it was the best ending that could be for this short story. <<less

so wu zhi was kind of famous in his school and he was very athletic. I personally think that Ye Qingling become obsessed with him is because Wu Zhi used to help Ye Quinling when he was being bullied mos of the time

And do you know when is Wu Zhi's birthday is?it's on 04, August. So Ye Qingling would always get exact 84 in every exam.

And later on Wu Zhi also started to like Ye Qingling. But Ye Qingling was a higher level zombie or more like a zombie king (?) and he can never die. Wu Zhi was human so you can imagine how the story goes. Ye Qingling did everything to make sure Wu Zhi doesn't die. He (YQL) made bunch of clones of Wu Zhi's boy parts and would exchange every time whenever his (WZ) one body part got wasted.

At the end Wu Zhi died. And Ye Qingling became crazy. He started to eat Wu Zhi's brain so that Wu Zhi will always be together with Ye Qingling.

The last chapter makes my heart bleed. I really wanted to cry but it would be weird, right?

Crazy ML, a big shiny golden cage, zombie apocalypse, vore - basically everything that could make the novel has some flavour. I must admit MC is way too accepting. Like where is my 100+ sadomasochistic love story. But as a short story, it's good enough. I just hope MC had a bigger resistance. The smut part is way too little, I have read better yellow books w similar chaps w way more spocy parts.

The previous readers really didn't lie.

I came here expecting something similar to 'Monster' and this was quite a phycological ride in itself. All though not exactly like what I expected but also like.

Though being 'horrified' and 'confused' wasn't really my exact thoughts but I was very impressed by the MC and his ability to go with the flow.

If you are confused about the ending, if its BE or HE, I will simply say that its just an E. I dont think it was particularly that good or bad. Depends on the readers mood after reading it completely though.

I have to say, the ability of these authors who are capable of acting silly and sweet in the notes and extras after serving this plate full of spices is really admirable. It almost seems as if they didn't know that their story was something of this level at all. <<less

You ever read something so infinitely tragic and disturbing, you leave the story like "wtf but damn." I did! The pairing is paranoid zombie king x precious boy captive lover. It's quite a.. Match up, and it's interesting to see the development of the two from the beginning to end. I don't entirely understand why our MC likes the ML so much. But obviously, the author knows I love disturbing stories like this (so fun to write as well), so 4 stars. Great short story with a logical ending and... more>> captivating storyline. I din't even know why I picked this story even knowing the rating is below 4. I prepared for the worst, after all this is only a short story so I don't have anything to lose. But wow.. Whoaa.. My gosh what a beautiful love story. Some might say this story got BE but for me it is a HE. Even without extra the author really wrote a beautiful ending. 4.5, because I wish author could make a sequele😁. Well this too short and I yearn for more

The story is really toxic yet addicting. ML is a freaking true yandere. And it's scary. If you cannot accept that don't read this. You might hate MC but people are different, you can decide if someone's decision is correct or not. The ending is so brutal and traumatizing.
beside all the rant, the story is really well executed.

edit: I want to add "what a poisonous author". She doesn't let us off even in the extra.

Crazily in love yandere x captivated shou in world is end type setting.

I have love hate relationship with this. The story is beautiful, I can understand fully how the characters' mind work even with just 17 chapters, and yes the ML is indeed crazy. But I really pity him TT_TT I wish I could find the author and strangle her haha

There ia a lot of smutty part too, so it's a plus for me too ahaha

This story! This story! Omg, I - 😭

I don't know what to say or where to start from. First off, this is the second time I have missed the tragedy tag in a story and DAMNNNN! I DO NOT read tragedies, I literally stay away from all sad novels. I just can't bear the bad endings. And I'm so mad at myself like how can I miss the tag a second time?! This has happened only once before as far as... more>> I remember. But anyways, it's spilled milk now.

Do I regret reading this? If I think about it honestly, no. I do not regret reading it. But at the same time I'm so sad and just melancholic. Like I said I have mixed feelings about this story. There were cute parts. There were absolutely heartbreaking parts. Gross and disgusting parts. I wanted to give 3 stars because of the gross parts but by the end, the cute and sad parts won me over. I think it deserves the 4 stars.

If it was in my hands, I would like the ending to be a happy one 😩 but this is the first time that I'm conflicted and feel that maybe the original ending is the best one. But still can't help feeling that they deserved a better end. I feel so sad for them both. So sad for the one left behind. So sad for the one who didn't wanna go but had to. So sad that in the end one "I love you" was missing. It should have been said, he should have just said it...

*sigh* I think I'll always be sad whenever I think about this story. This has left me feeling so heartbroken. But I'm still glad I read it. ❤❤❤ <<less

Amazing story, un the short span ofcouple chapters we got a full scope of both incredibly sweet and totally deranged and absolutely heart wrenching love. The ending was perfect, it was also the only logical way for this to end, without taking away feom the story.

Definitely worth a read!

But I really love this short story. The angst, the bittersweetness of their relationship is great, made me crying ugly in many chapters.

This short story is heartbreaking, romantic, and scary at the same time.

I do not want to spoil everyone, but I just want to tell you that this story is so so good. The tragedy is a chef's kiss. It's a miracle that I didn't cry on this.
