I've been reading Chinese novels for years already. Most stories I dare touch for the sole purpose of entertaining myself, but in the process of doing so, I entered this neverending process of loving and learning.

I am always in love with beginnings, like how I love the morning sky—the beginning of my day. But as l find mornings lovely, the endings are ones I despise.

The books I have read were left unfinished, with closure not in sight. Maybe it was fickleness, boredom, or inconsistency but whatever reason it was, I am never good with endings.

Whether the ending was good or bad, happy or sad, it was all the same. Books are worlds that I plunged into, a life I lived, and the characters are companions I laughed and cried with. "And so they live..." I dislike endings not because the story has ended, it never ends, but what came to an end is my journey with them. With the last page and the last word, my life in the book has ended, a part of me severed.

So this list is created for the purpose of closing the books I've opened as I desire to heal this hatred or rather, this fear. I have not only read from where I left but I started once again at the beginning and so this is about me "Picking Up Little Pieces of My Heart".
