I really enjoy novels that are set in ancient china where the MC starts at the bottom and raises to success (and they are farming!) so I'm compiling a list both BL and straight (though a lot of it is BL)

I'm not a huge fan of court drama or emperor stories, but don't be surprised if you find a few of those on here too!
