I thought this was gonna be a sweet cross dressing story, similar to Unruly Phoenix Xiaoyao or Refusing to Serve Me Then Off With Your Head. But it turns out to be dreamer in spring boudoir distant relative. MC was so witty. I understand her choosing ML but not the decisions she made following in the rs. In the beginning, she was leaning towards the second ML as a potential which would have been perfect for her (2nd lead syndrome sigh) and then suddenly she got together with the emperor. Ok she was expecting to die so a moment of impulse... but then why are you dealing with his harem. If the ML was honest and straight forward, it would have been understandable. ML foreshadowed his positions and MC's smart enough to pick up on it so she knows. She gets jealous here and there when other women come close to ML, and she knows she put herself in that situation. ML wasn't really OP so was ML pretending to put on a show? Hopefully he was. T_T But it was so vague bro. In dreamer in spring boudoir, the MC had no position and power, but here MC was the top minister. They both weren't in love with each other yet when they got together. So why r u dealing with his harem as a modern woman who held the second highest position in an ancient era. I don't want the laid-back witty MC, I want the stubborn witty MC back. T_T One thing I would praise is that she wasn't love blind. For example, "If I have been the only one in my relationship paying, then there is no need to continue. Doing everything without asking for anything in return is a fool." The author tries to be vague about ML's feelings and what he plans to do, and also whether or not ML slept with others in the past/actively but this ML has the same fundamental qualities that the ML from dreamer has so I'm guessing he's done the deeds. I was scared the whole latter half of the story that he was gonna be the ML from the dreamer T_T. The second ML asked him if he's serious about MC or it it just the same as how ML was with his women in harem which lasted a week/month (which basically confirms he's done it? idek) and ML's answer was like we'll see. Ya see why I was so scared. My heart wasn't ready. Like where was this going. Also, when there were fake pregnancy news popping up left and right, ML didn't deny, and MC didn't question. T_T Is it too much to ask for a sweet fluffy witty romance. If someone can clarify he wasn't actively doing bed service with others while he's with MC, then, it's... redeemable cuz ya know it would be out of MC character to accept that. The writing is great. Fast pace. It just wasn't what I was expecting after reading the first half. Other than that, it's a great story.

In one part, a practical joke backfires and almost leads to war. The MC really outdid herself as politician!
