3 stars but it's improving rapidly.

In the opening the author seemed to have a great deal of difficulty setting the scene and introducing the characters. It would be exceptionally kind to describe it as awkward. By the fourth chapter the narrative had gotten much more enjoyable to read, with much improved flow. If the author continues to improve this could easily be a 4 star read.

So far the characters have also been a little flat. The FL is very nonchalant at being thrust into another dimension. The ML acts like... more>> characters from his novels show up regularly. It's a bit uninteresting. Toss in the cliche reaction to mass manufactured items, "Wow he has glass" etc etc and it's a little bit of a slog, but still improving.

So while it's not anything special yet. It does show some hope of getting better and it hasn't done or shown sign of doing things that will make it unreadable. If it can get the comedy going, it could be nice in the way "I dream of genie" or "Bewitched" was. <<less
