And this pisses me off, cause there were so many ways to prevent this misundertanding from happening, but it somehow ended up being part of the story.

It had no narrative cause, other than the fear of the FL that the ML would despise her after her confession (like, FL, why would you still lie to him when he's literally in your castle just to kill your masked ass, cause he doesn't know who the f*ck you are, cause you never told him!!! And the ML obeying a random voice that magically appeared in his head doesn't help either). It didn't contribute to the story whatsoever, apart from breaking their relation. They could have just talked to each other instead and I would have ignored all those irritating side characters and continued the story, but it wasn't the case.

I loved the princess' character, but I'm literally done after that chapter, and I don't even want to read the aftermath.

I was heart broken when he almost killed the devil (FL) with the hope that he could be released from a warrior position and live with the person he loves (also FL). Fortunately, this part was not dragged too long.
