An otome isekai, reborn in dating sim game, as the villainess who loves her brother.

It's wholesome as the brother and sister relationship is just siblings' love (at least for now, but no signs of it changing). Its a definitely a weird sibling bond as they complement each other on their looks and love for another, but they don't cross the line. The brother is open to marrying his sister off if thats what she wants and vice versa.

The story is more avoid death flags turns world building as a family,... more>> with brotherly sprinkles in between. Not much romantic interest options for MC, seems like 2 as of 167 chapters in. <<less

Very entertaining. The pace is kinda slow but still bearable. I had no complaint about the story other than each chapter felt kinda short......... then I realized the translator split each chapter into two parts.

Chapter 163 here is chapter 74 on Syosetu, and at the time I wrote this review, there are 259 chapters available on that site.

I feel deceived knowing the chapter numbering here is not the original numbering made by author... What the fυck.....

The translations are good, although I'm a bit confused if they are blood-siblings or step-siblings. I'm actually hoping that they're step-siblings because I am so shipping them already. LOL!

they're sharing the body right now--the villainess and the corporate s*ave who died and became part of the otome game. Then she came to understand why the original villaines was desperate to become crown princess and why her brother was a siscon.

If you find out about the kind of lives the brother and sister went through, it'd be completely understandable how they developed the brother and sister complex.

I hope this updates soon because it's really promising. Thank you~ <<less

A gem! God! Finally a Villainess that is a BroCon, like I always see the brother loving his sister too much but I rarely see the sister reciprocate his feelings. This BroCon SisCon combi is so precious! I ended up mtl-ing the rest of the raws and speedrunned this novel in one night.

I'm so glad I came across this novel. My wish had been fulfilled! Just waiting for another update! Please give it a read, the siscon dialogue will make you go 'aaaw' and laugh because of how much love... more>> the brother, Alexei, gives to our FL. Other characters like, Flora, the original heroine and the Prince, Mikhail, are enjoyable too.

Psst.... there's also badass maid and butler here, cmon, read!

Spoiler

When the Demon Lord/King proposed to Ekatrina, I can't help but laugh as he got rejected because Ekatrina immediately remembers her brother and went "A True BroCon shall not be swayed!

Ok, I just read this great novel on recommendation of someone. Honestly, I didn't have high of hopes as Japanese novels start great but soon began to feel boring.

This novel was different. It is a rare gem as it kept me hooked till end (not actually end as novel is still ongoing).

Story began to get better and better as it pocceeds.

I recommend that you also give it a try. It's definitely a good read.

The story is nice, the character is interesting, I like the reason why Ekaterina becomes a villainess in the game, and how her brother become a siscon. Even though at the beginning it just feels like a joke, a brocon and siscon, but after you keep reading it, it'll hit you, it happen because they only have each other.

Ekaterina never see her father and brother since she was born because Ekaterina and her mother got abused for 15 years by her grandmother. Her brother raised without familial love, and got... more>> forced to work as duke replacement since little, where he also never got to see his mother and his sister.

now that their parents and grandmother already died, in the original game, Ekaterina hate her brother, because she thinks her brother is the reason their mother died, and because Ekaterina appearance is similar to their mother, her brother feel guilty and keep spoiling her to makes up for his lack of familial love.

This is where the past life comes in, The MC know about their circumstances, at first there are 2 personality inside Ekaterina, and after those personality merge, this new Ekaterina where she got the original Ekaterina feelings, and past life thought process, decided to give familial love to her brother, and to not let their life got ruined again.

Spoiler

When Ekaterina tell the dragon king to not separate her from her brother because they only have each other, that really hit me, the prologue of this story is quite good.

I don't know if the author based his story with the "Let it go" japanese lyrics, but it's really spot on. There is one part where Ekaterina singing the let it go japanese version, and she explain this lyric have similar circumstances with Ekaterina's life, so I decided to search the japanese lyrics, and damn, it's different with the english version, and really spot on with this story.

[collapse]

Not just that, the side character also interesting, and it's good that some of them got their past stories. But the author also telling the back stories of unimportant characters, so it's quite a chore to read, I mean who cares about them, their story is not even part of the main plot, what's the point of including them. There are a lots of this pointless chapter.

and the excessive praise for Ekaterina by her brother is too much, at first it's still good, saying something like "My dear sister you're beautiful like the night queen" but in later chapter the praise keep becoming excessive and it feels more like a joke, and sometimes I can feel the yandere vibes in those praise. I don't know if the author put those on purpose, I jut hope the brother is not a yandere.

it's enjoyable than other villainess story, so it's a good read for me, I definitely recommend this one <<less

I really love this story! It's very well translated and refreshing. While she was obsessed with her 'brother' in her previous life in the game she doesn't have the intention to marry him. It's a very sweet sibling bond. I am curious whole her love target will be. The heroine is also sweet, I'm glad they are able to become friends! I hope Demon King comes soon, maybe that will be her love target since she likes mature men?? Overall I really love this book, hope some new chapters are... more>> put out soon! <<less

I love this sooo much!!! There isn’t any romance so far, but I love the premise of the story. I wouldn’t say it’s unique in this typical reincarnation into an otome game genre, but it’s definitely very refreshing, cute, and fluffy. I see a lot of potential in this story, so I can’t wait for updates! Also, translator-san is awesome! I recently found out how difficult it is to translate something, so keep up the good work! Okay so first off: thanks to the translating team for all they've done! They worked hard to make the story more accessible for us, making POV shifts and who's speaking more clearer.

Okay now for the actual review. If you're wanting something amazing and new and all that, this isn't quite it. It's a simple story loosely working off the pre-established villainess transmigration template. However, it is still enjoyable! It's a read that doesn't make you think too much; just sit back and relax and enjoy the ride!

I love our protagonist.... more>> She's got a clear goal (bro-conning like hell) and uses what she can to try and make her brother's life better. She understands her brother's position and genuinely puts in the work to support him. She isn't some super genius, but she uses what she does know effectively, showing us how clever she can be. Also love the fact that she cares -100% for any love interest: she's here for her bro and her bro only. It's fantastic.

Her brother is also super cute. Extreme sis-con to the MAX, I hope to see more of his doting throughout the story. The story acknowledges that the protagonist's tragic backstory also heavily affected him, which is something not many novels (I've read) do so kudos to the author for that. Usually it's everyone gets their own separate tragic backstories instead of being interwoven together. I love how when our protagonist calls him out, he critically examines his behaviour and acknowledges that his sister was right. Also that the both of them realised they did something wrong to each other in that argument so they both apologise and talk it out. Healthy communication for the win!

You also don't have to worry about the OG Heroine being a white lotus or anything. She's a very good friend to our protagonist and I want her to be happy.

All in all, a solid read with many enjoyable moments. <<less

Hi, I'm one of the editors of this novel.

Frankly speaking, I've only read few Jap novels so idk how the plot system usually goes. From that perspective, I can personally say that the concept is interesting (both sis and bro conning each other XD) It's adorable and new because usually only the bro cons for his sister. I like how she is not dense and was built as a mature character who knows the dark reality of the modern world AND I ABSOLUTELY approve of the fact that she didn't... more>> lose her IQ upon transmigration (suddenly losing her 30yrs of knowledge to a three-year-old just because she's a simp). And I'm so waiting for Alexei to show his ultimate sis-con sideee

Also, the story was written with POVs shifting here and there which makes it a bit confusing but once you get the hang of it, it's no longer that confusing and abrupt~ SPECIAL NOTE: We had re-translated and re-edited the chapters to provide a better reading experience. We had worked so hard in a short time to tackle it right away TvT I hope we had improved it to its best state, your comments were viewed with of best interests in our mind. Thank you!

All in all, I'm giving it a 4.8~

the premise is nice, I liked the plot twists and relationships between characters...

BUT

the last 10-20 chapters are just... one meeting, stretched into infinity. with crazy jump between POVs, backstories of characters I don't care about and cliches describing of just how evil and worthless was the grandmother. oh, and 'etiquette', a.k.a. look just how mature (boring), and wise (pointless yes-man) I can be.

i got so bored that I'm dropping this. at this point, it's just painful. waiting for an update just to get about one fourth of a single discussion... more>> and then get dropped into a different POV 20 years in the past... that's seriously not my thing.

the beginning was nice though. I wish I could have read more about the dragon... <<less

If this was the first villainess transmigrating novel I read I would have probably rated this a 4 star, but since it's very very common now with often predictable and recycled plots, I will give this a 3 star. However, I do commend the author in giving the MC decent IQ and in explaining why she is clueless in some aspects. Often times in these type of Japanese novels, the villainess is super dense and there are way too many holes in the plot. The author tries to address any... more>> plot holes, at least so far.

So far the story is decent. It's not really that amazing yet or anything. Perhaps I'm waiting for the brother to really show himself being a sis-con, which has not happened yet since he is a tsundere. It's just very basic stuff so far. For the first 20 chapters, I felt that it is a bit lacking, and it took quite awhile to introduce some characters. The first few chapters should be what draws the readers in, but I felt that this novel failed to do so. Perhaps the author has been too focused in making sure that there are no plot holes and that the story does not fall outside common sense. I think it will get better eventually. <<less

. Nevertheless, things change and she decides to stay away from the prince, become bro-con sis-con duo.

However, there's one thing that I would love to applaud the author.. And that is the way he/she view the modern world.
Spoiler

Many times, in reincarnated story, the modern world is seen as great place, (social equality, women autonomy, education for all, etc etc. But hey... We all know our world isn't really a Utopia. Despite the great development, we also cause destruction. Human being (in general) is still a creature of greed, and the voice of equality, it true that it doesn't really apply to every single human on earth. So, I was amazed when I read her argument in this story

A very entertaining take on the otoge villainess reincarnation genre.

Unlike many other similar reincarnation stories where the siscon / brocon tendencies of other characters develop from the protagonist doting on them, the MC's big brother was a siscon to begin with, even when the character was a villainess, and an honest one at that.

Comparatively, the protagonist is instead holding herself back and mentally apologising for being a thirty year-old inside. But even if I say that she holds herself back, she's still quite open about her affection in general, just... more>> not to the extent of revealing her obsession outright.

A positive aspect is that the MC isn't dense, although she doesn't pay much attention to the feelings anyone other than her brother might hold for her. Not that I mind dense protagonists in general, but many are written lazily and turn out s*upid instead.

And in between the chapters of flirting siblings, there is the matter of being involved in the ingame events as well as a reasonable amount of more serious economic and political concerns that weren't conveyed in the setting of the game. This gives the world some additional depth and makes it more believable.

Other than the POV changes that I consider mostly unnecessary, it's written fairly well. One thing that is jarring is that the short chapters sometimes break in the middle of a conversation, but actual changes in place and even time can be in the middle of a chapter. I haven't read the raws, but I'd guess that it was done that way to keep people reading, however I honestly think that making more proper chapters would make the story much easier to read.

In addition to the short chapters, the story is moving fairly slowly as it is often the case with these types of novels. Some people may be relieved that she remembers her past at the age of fifteen, so there isn't any unnecessarily lengthy infancy or childhood period. However, since the story is focused on the romance and not magic and combat, there hasn't been a ton of plot up to this point. I would be surprised if the story ended in less than 500 chapters, unless the chapter length changes or the author simply runs out of ideas. <<less

Engaging story and the translation is great. I love how MC is so mature and empathetic to the original characters, particularly the heroine. MC was a 30ish systems engineer before transmigrating, and unlike in other transmigration stories I've read, she still has the mentality and decision making skills of a modern, professional woman. At the same time, she is intelligent enough to acknowledge how her modern bias. There is a surprising amount of introspection.

I quite enjoyed reading this novel. So far, the plot is still strong regarding the warm relationship between an older brother and younger sister who care and love each other as 'a family', not lovers. I hope the plot of the story still leads to a warm family, not a deviant relationship like incest. The premise of the story itself is related to a villainess who changes her role to become a brocon. The word brocon sounds a bit ridiculous but after I read it I realized the reason brocon and siscon is quite logical.
Spoiler

I mean the MC before reincarnating in the otome world, she did like the older brother character of villainess but after reincarnating into villainess, she gets memories of how bleak their family's past was. The MC's own background is a noble woman with the rank of a duke but for years she and her mother were under house arrest and bullied by her grandmother just because her grandmother hated the background of the MC's mother who was not from an elite aristocrat. Her mother and MC didn't even get to meet her father and her older brother until her mother dead. Her mother only got to see her son once before she died. Practically in this kind of environment MC and her older brother become lonely because of the lack of attention and affection from their parents. Her older brother feels guilty for not being able to help his mother. Practically his younger sister became a means of atonement for sins by giving his attention and affection to atone for his sins.

However, after the MC got his memory before reincarnating, the MC became very concerned about her older brother and even behaved like as a mother The brother and younger sister finally care for each other and fill the empty space in their hearts to find the meaning of life as a family.
[collapse]

I hope the ending will lead to a family route which the brother-sister decide not to marry anyone and live together as normal brother-sister who care about each other. I didn't expect the ending to deviate like a win-incest. I mean novels like this usually end with a ridiculous and distorted ending like that. I hope the author is sane enough to make a good ending that can be accepted by people with common sense. Overall, I think the premise of this novel is similar to the novel "I've Been Reincarnated as a Villainess's Older Brother" in that the two MCs of the novels remain steadfast in their goal of bringing their brother/sister to happiness and avoiding the flag of death. The difference is that the MC of this novel is a younger sister and villianess. Meanwhile, the MC of the other novel is a brother of villainess.
