I possessed a character in a modern fantasy novel. 

The final mastermind who pretends to be a supporting character and then backstabs the protagonist.

The problem is that I possessed the character before reading the full story.

If it’s revealed that I’m not the original owner of this body, I’ll be massacred by the family.

I have no choice but to impersonate the mastermind.

But as of today, the mastermind who dreamed of destroying the world is retiring. You guys figure out the brains.

I tried to turn over a new leaf like that, but the protagonist keeps looking at me with strange eyes.

What? Is he picking a fight?

“…Why are you doing this? We’re meeting for the first time.”

“I’m expressing that we should get close since we’re getting to know each other for the first time.”

“So you suddenly sat next to me…?” 

“You’re a bit s*upid. You don’t know how to understand words properly.”

“…You’re not trying to fight but actually want to get close?”

“I’m sorry. I’m a bit clumsy with human relationships.”

Wow, I’m about to explode. This guy isn’t sorry at all, what bullsh*t is he spouting?!

‘You don’t even want to get close in the first place!’

I know that just by looking in his eyes! What the hell is he scheming…?!

While I couldn’t answer properly because I was going crazy, Logan stepped in to back me up.

“Lord Cassice has no intention of getting close to you. So please go away.”

The problem was that because Ryuseong lowered the level of conversation by suddenly talking about getting close or whatnot, no matter what was said, it felt like kindergarteners declaring “I’m not friends with you anymore! Let’s end our friendship!”

After setting the stage to make any conversation seem ridiculous, Ryuseong was growling at Logan like a tiger.

“Are you Cassice’s nanny? Know your place before butting in.”

“…Are you prepared to take responsibility for that verbal abuse?”

Wow. No matter what, it becomes a shitty situation, so I felt strangely calm instead. Then I realized how to escape from the ridiculous farce led by Ryuseong.   

Right, you bastard. Let’s go meet the family head.

“Logan, stop. Come here.”

“Lord Cassice…”

Logan obediently listened to me. It means he held back his anger when he was about to shout with a red face and stood at attention behind me. I tapped the back of his hand a couple times, then rested my elbow on my crossed knees and placed my chin on my palm. 

In that state, I narrowed my eyes looking up at Ryuseong.

“Then, are we dating starting from today?”
