My role here has quite the extravagant modifiers.

“The family’s problem child? It’s really me?”

After realizing that I reincarnated, I was so confused because of the memory loss and sudden change in personality.

More than that, I’m also destined to die soon. See, this is a BL novel, and apparently I’m the fiancée of the main character.

And so began the attempt to beguile the world’s top predator who would save me, no questions asked.

“Oh my, are you alone now? My fiancé.”
“How greedy! Please, stop taking my heart with you—my heart!”

But what’s this. For some reason, the attempt at beguiling was working frighteningly well…?

“Just as you asked, I took care of everything. But why are you leaving. I did everything you told me to.”

What should I do?

Currently reading ML's POV and damn, the author is superb and the translation is excellent to the point where I am almost thinking of Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.

This is a wonderfully written (and translated) work. Give it a go!

FL flirts with ML to get into a marriage with him to avoid marrying a guy who hates her. But it ends up working to well and now he gets is obsessed with her, which now causes trouble as she always has to stop him from killing people that gets in the way of their relationship.

The beginning feels a bit like secondhand embarrassment, with how everyone acts, but that fades away fairly quickly. The FL is rather smart and knows how to take some calculated risks. Even if you don't quite understand in the moment, all becomes clear afterwards. Entertaining and good translation.

why should Reina feel guilty over Lehman getting what he deserves? He should have been punished more, really. Even if she has memories of living in modern day Korea, it doesn't change the fact that she currently lives as a Nobel right now. Even in modern times, the rich are still powerful, so it wouldn't even be a foreign concept to her that his family that is lower on the corporate ladder has to respect hers. And no matter what, all that crap he put her through was entirely his own fault! Even if he has daddy issues, the moment he started to torture Reina, he became guilty! The SINGULAR time that she successfully defends herself, she's suddenly as guilty as he is? What a load of crap. The more I think about the end of book one, the more annoyed I get. I'll have to revisit book 2 later

The story was genuinely enjoyable—until around chapter 80.

The first half of the novel was surprisingly refreshing. While the premise leaned into familiar tropes—light harassment from Lehman, hints of a reverse harem, and the usual noble intrigue—the execution made it compelling. The main character's attempts at seduction were hilariously bold, and watching her gradually grow into her intelligence was genuinely satisfying. Her dynamic with the male lead also unfolded in a familiar yet well-crafted way: predictable, perhaps, but thoroughly entertaining.

From that point on, the pacing and tone shifted drastically.

The MC and ML officially become a couple, but the moment lacked chemistry or emotional depth. The confession scene—set in a garden, of all places—felt flat and uninspired, as if the author simply needed to tick off a box.

There's little room left for tension, whether romantic or narrative. Conflicts arise, but they feel insignificant because we already know the MC and ML can effortlessly overcome anything. Even their flirtations lose their spark—blushing scenes feel repetitive and emotionally hollow.

It's as if the author tried to inject more plot twists, but with no real stakes left, nothing sticks. The characters are no longer growing; they're just coasting.

And it just keeps getting worse.

The narrative falls into a repetitive loop. The MC often doubts her own abilities, yet somehow continues to invent random modern-world items like sunglasses, which feels jarringly out of place. Her emotional conflict with Ethan drags on needlessly, especially her inability to truly cut ties with the other male leads. Instead of showing character evolution, we are repeatedly told how amazing, kind, and lovable she is—but in ways that feel increasingly hollow and unearned.

The once witty and vibrant protagonist becomes a caricature of perfection, and even the "problems" she faces feel like minor inconveniences rather than real challenges. <<less

She could be more assertive.

I think the second book was written by somebody else because... It doesn't make sense how this cute and fun story was reduced to some basic nonsense.

First book WAS FUN! I loved the FL; she was so shameless that even the absurd MLs seemed more normal beside her. Everyone was a mess. Paul will do anything as he wants, Letis finds anything interesting, and Eli... My heart broke for Elijah. He so purely loved the FL, but Ethan's existence made it impossible for them to get together. Their relationship with... more>> Ethan moved on at a natural pace while the plot was still active and interesting. I loved how flowy it felt. Especially Ethan's POV was so funny...

There were chapters I died laughing. I thought the story would get boring once the main ML gets sidetracked but... The characters' dynamics were built so well that their interactions seemed even more interesting. Especially Paul. That mysterious snake.

HOWEVER, the second book... UGH. I'm just going to list some reasons why I cut 3 stars:

-The politics... The first book was about human interactions; it felt cute and sincere. However, the 2nd book did a 180 and turned this into an awkward politics/business 101. Her supposed short business adventure got a bit toooo long. The storytelling style I loved was no longer there. I lost interest since the author couldn't balance the lore and the fun.

-I didn't like that the author took her fun and shameless character and turned it into a boring as plain white wallpaper by making her a merciful saintess. Being indebted to the lower class because she now has a comfortable life? Feeling bad about how Lehman got punished and eventually making business deals with him?? Ugh, I hated ALL of her decisions in the second book.

-Paul was my absolute favorite. AND HE WAS RUINED TOO. I'd hunt him down if I were in this story. Such a foxy cuteness. Then his brief backstory came and... I broke down. I loved him so much. He got lost for a long while, and after he came back, things had changed. He was the real MVP of the story... UNTIL the last random abduction thingy. It was random, you can't convince me otherwise. The author could have picked any random family to be the last antagonists, NOT THE BOHR family, dammit...

I found this story to be quite boring and pointlessly long without an exciting plot to keep me engaged. There’s a yandere tag, but hardly any yandere moment - more possessive rather than yandere imo.

Also felt the FL was at times foolish, and sometimes smart. The inconsistencies threw me off at times. And new titles for characters kept getting introduced, without a proper introduction or explanation by the author so it was weird. Like a new duke or count is being mentioned in a conversation, and it sounds... more>> like a new character, but no... it’s the same person they mentioned previously, but by a different title and surname and it was hard to make the connection at first. <<less

I love the story, I love the characters! FL is funny and lively. Not just FL and ML, I love the other characters too.. Ohhhh I wish to know more about themmmmmmm. How I wish for more side story😭😭😭😭 I want to know more about Paul!!!!

I think the 1st book and 2nd book is kinda different, sadly. I really really love how it was going on the 1st book! Can’t stop smiling omg. Not that the story becomes boring or anything but just less comedic and more of a serious... more>> plots going on.

Anyway I really enjoyed reading this novel.. I don’t understand why the low rating, but in my opinion i’d recommend it, please give it a chance~ Can’t say it’s perfectly written bc I think I need more explanations about the other characters... But I still enjoyed it regardless. Perfectly translated. Thank you so much for the author and the translation team for completing this novel~ <<less
