It's an interesting take on the Isekai/Villainess genre. You have reality intrudes, genius is 1% inspiration 99% perspiration, and the ever popular people are contrary creatures. There's real smiles to be had while reading it. Couple in the fact the author does a wonderful job of fitting a lot of story into a very small space, and builds a read that flows well and manages to well communicate what is happening in the narrative all make for a story that's well above average.

Not quite five stars as it is too... more>> short and there is very little character or world building. The author relies almost entirely on the reader being hyper familiar with the genre and goes for the nod is as good as a wink to a blind man approach. <<less

I had to stop after reading chapter 1 before continuing again.

It's fine but I didn't like how it's riduculing certain stereotypes and put themselves as if they are above others.

And for a story that tries to be realistic, they didn't even bother trying to realistic portray the stereotypes they're mocking.

Spoiler

So the story is basically just author ridiculing how a s*upid heroine going for romance or harem flag and a dummy villainess who makes a lot of business from her past knowledge.

The thing is EVERYONE KNOWS how this is usually physically impossible that's the reason why some people like it cause it's interesting to think so. Putting them in a realistic scenario is fine so long as you also make it also realistic. However what this book just did is just insert these very idealistic stereotype characters that doesn't exist and mock them for being unrealistic, and so all I can feel from the story is this "I'm better than you" vibe as it compare itself with inexistent concepts.

And before you call me out saying they are realistic, can you honestly tell me there will be a person in real life upon realising they are the heroine in an otome game, would go hunting for the characters openly and shouting about the game? I'm not saying no one would take advantage of it, but I don't think they be anyone foolish enough to announce to the world they're courting different love interest right? At most those who will use it will probably be the scheming type or the white lotus type (by that I mean deny but still tries to raise flag). And that's not talking about how could they remain childish despite having live for how long now they are in their second world. Honestly, the only time I think this is possible if the person is still a child who isn't aware of what's exactly happening or mentally incapacitated by then I feel more pity they can't get the proper treatment there than ridicule.

Then with the villainess and her business. I don't think the author knows what employing administration means? Like I get it business is very hard to do, and managing multiple of them is hard. But the thing is that's why you hire people to do it, this is especially true for GENUINE entrepreneurs, obviously what they have is only their invention, as to whether they will skyrocket or not depends on administration too. The villainess is from a duke and you're telling me they couldn't find any capable person to do it? Or even partner up with veteran businessmen? So much for being realistic. 🤦‍♀️

[collapse]

If you think you can't do anything upon being isekai it's fine. But that doesn't mean you need to drag others down to your level.

Ngl I wanna rate this 1, but certain people would love it. It's just that it isn't for me. <<less

This story was actually quite refreshing. I don't know why the rating was a bit low. In this story, we didn't only meet 1 transmigrator, but 3 of them altogether. The first one was Emilia, a marques daughter, who was supposed to be a passerby; the second one was Alicia, a duke's daughter, who was supposed to be ML's fiancee and the so-called villainess; the third one was Noelle, a baron's daughter, who was supposed to be a heroine and ML's true love

Maybe because the three of them transmigrated at... more>> the same time, the original plot went wrong from the start. Alicia, who was afraid to be a villainess, decided to withdraw from ML's fiancee candidate. Noelle, who didn't have the original heroine charm, blindly chase after ML and several other men and successfully disgusted them in the process. And the poor Emilia, who didn't have any role in the original plot, became ML's fiancee instead.

Emilia was my favorite transmigrator in this story. She was realistic, unlike Alicia.

Spoiler

Emilia also had the advantage of having her previous life's memories but she didn't want to use her knowledge blindly because she knew even in her previous life she wasn't expert at it.

Alicia was different. She was bold enough to use her previous life's knowledge to build numerous businesses but then reality slapped her hard. Her businesses failed one after another. Alicia's ideas were actually quite good but she lacked of perseverance and patience. She should take her time to do research before building her business but she chose to blindly poured money into her businesses without proper preparation. That's why she failed in the end.

[collapse]

But I pity Emilia a bit because she couldn't escape being a queen in the end because:

Spoiler

ML turned to be a complete yandere. Maybe he was already too frustrated because Emilia didn't love him back and easily proposed to cancel the engagement several times.

The story is a little unique because it features 3 different people who transmigrated/reincarnated into an otome game. Since it's a short story, it's a little shallow, but still quite an enjoyable read. I recommend reading it, since the translation is pretty good, and the story is short enough that everything is resolved satisfactorily.

Well, I can't say I liked it. The girl didn't want to get married to the prince until the end. She didn't want to be queen and was looking for someone to take her place. Since it is just 5 chapters there is no romance developed, this is just a story about non consent.

Recommended for a short story. And about the cheat of a reincarnated person, that having no knowledge of a certain business/thing may result of a failure in the future.

It’s not that bad but it’s kind of rushed. We get the perspective of two characters but not one, Noelle, who is barely in the story compared to Alicia and Emilia. There isn’t a lot of background on the other characters and imo ends kind of like that without wrapping up loose ends, such as more about the world setting. The translation is good though.
