She doesn’t want to change her personality to make the Crown Prince like her. It would be foolish to repeat the same thing over and over again, so, it might be better to reign at the top of the demon tribe and rule over all the human nations.

Lydith makes up her mind. She will make the king of the demon tribe fall in love with her beauty!

I have the feeling Lydith, our protagonist, is going to be a love her or hate her polarizing character.

Like her or leave her: Lydith is a Karen. Viewing the world in black and white terms where there is the correct way (her way) and the wrong way, Lydith is a human bulldozer of determination to get what she wants, with little thought, let alone remorse, for the human fodder in the way. She is oblivious to all other viewpoints but her own, and about as empathic and indestructible as a... more>> Lego who tells people they did it wrong after they stepped on her.

Still, you have to admire and envy how absolute her self confidence is, nothing will shake it, and how complete her self love.

Also... she's not really wrong? As off-putting her cutting opinions are, you find yourself nodding along against your will. Yeah, her original fiance is worthless! He expects to be king, and can't even keep the peace between two women? How will he handle countries?

So far, I fall into the love her camp, because she's not wrong and says and does what everyone wishes they thought of. But it's a delicate thing to be able to sing "I feel pretty" and remain charming, so we'll see if this unconventionally dislikable character can maintain her reader fanbase. <<less

I haven’t read far, but I feel like the reviews so far are a little unfair.
The MC is completely different from what you’re used to. She’s the kind of character you will love or hate. Her defining quality is her absolute self-confidence; she’s not a narcissist who’s covering her insecurities by being self-obsessed, she was genuinely raised with so much love that it genuinely does not occur to her to be jealous, doubtful, or hesitant.
As far as her human interaction... well, as far as she’s concerned, it’s only natural for everyone to love her; but it’s also perfectly natural for their love to twist into jealousy, obsession, or perversion. In this sense, she is incredibly forgiving and tolerant.

She genuinely believes herself to be superior-and thus has no need to prove it, so she doesn’t step on others, but her view of her own superiority is a little warped. When she was going to be the crown princess, she was going to be the perfect crown princess. When she was going to be a prostitute, she was going to be the best prostitute. When she was going to be a cleaning lady, she was going to be the best cleaning lady.
Her lack of common sense is frustrating: but you have to admire how emotionally secure and genuine she is, and I’ve never seen a FL quite like her before. Whether or not the story itself ends up being good, I think it’s worth reading just to see her interesting perspective.

This novel is pure gold. It's just so funny, and at the same time, deep.

Yes, the self confidence of Lydith can be too much... But it's because it's too much that it's work great.

Yes, the fact that she seems to not connect really with people can disappoint... But it's not really the case

She really fall in love hard with Gilbert, and she had some difficulties to accept her feelings, because it's a strange concept for her, to be emotional as a monarch, because you can't be a good dirigeant when you let your feelings make all the decision, and not the reason and the needs of the people.

[collapse]

The title said that the Villainess does not reflect, and yes, she doesn't, because she was not wrong, even if other people wants her to apologize to be her true self. She doesn't reflect, but she grow up, too, to be the most fabulous person, the most beautiful. She's just extra.

I really recommend to read it, it's short (maybe a little too short, I would have love to see more of Lydith and Gilbert, and see more of the species of the demon kind) but really feel good, with a MC who's not sorry to exist, and who accept the love of everyone, because it's only natural to love her. <<less

I couldn't take it, at first I found it interesting and funny, but then... Lidith thinks that the world revolves around her and that everyone is at her feet, so she ignores the opinions of others, always jumps to conclusions and only believes that people should follow what she says because it's right. Her self-centered personality is hard to swallow and if you pay attention it seems that she really has no feelings for anyone, even though she is a good person I could only see a child being deluded... more>> with the love and overprotection of her family and not being aware of her individuality each one, and sometimes what you think is right may not be true for someone else, I don't know if this will change in the future mainly because of the title, but it's not worth waiting to see. <<less

I think this story was something that you would appreciate after reading it until the end. If you read it only in the earlier chapters, maybe you would want to give it up because MC was that annoying at the beginning especially when she opened her mouth. But MC was more than just a vain, narcissistic, and irritating mouth if you had a patient to read this story till the end.

Spoiler

MC was actually kind in nature. It's just, she couldn't sweet-talk so whatever came from her mouth was unfiltered and it often offended many people although it's the truth. She's just too honest and she didn't feel she's wrong for being honest.

It's actually one of the trait that I like about her: she wasn't afraid of being herself. Her overconfidence also came from the backing of her family who was a high ranking duke so she had no fear. She also always looked at everything with positive attitude so she appeared to be unaffected from misfortunes that happened to her in her past life.

But if you read the story further, you would know that she was actually quite scared and traumatized by what happened to her in her previous life. That's why after her rebirth, she chose to run away. She couldn't live alone since she was educated as a noble lady who was destined to marry another noble. Maybe her family wouldn't mind if she chose to live in the dukedom forever but she would become a burden of her brother in the future and she didn't want that.

Eventually, she chose to marry herself to the powerful demon king. As to why she chose the demon king, our MC always aimed high. She didn't want to marry an ordinary man and honestly, she indeed had what it took to become a queen. She was wise, graceful, beautiful, clever, kind, and magnanimous. Her only flaw was maybe her unfiltered mouth.

[collapse]

So please don't give up on MC yet after reading only several chapters because you'll find her charm in the latter part of the story. <<less

(still in the synopsis)

I don't know, but I feel that the synopsis promises something good but at the same time it doesn't?? like, the synopsis kind of says she's not going to change to please the crown prince, but she still has to make a man fall in love with her (the demon king or whatever). in my sincere opinion and point of view, the synopsis does not propose an empowered protagonist, but a weak protagonist who needs a male. When I'm done reading, I'll edit the comment... more>> and let you know what I think. (not that in the least anyone cares about the comment, I don't give a sh*t about ratings, but I want to make a note of this)

(chapter 1 - half read)

wtf- I feel like I got slapped in the face, anyone reading my above comment must be laughing at me because I was dead wrong. I haven't even finished the first chapter but Lydith isn't the type of person who needs a man and she's not mean to *I don't give a f*ck about her name* I could even say she would be the spark for feminism (it was a snarky comment but yeah) I'm just drooling over Lydith, I'll finish the story lol

⭐⭐⭐⭐ only four stars so far but if this hype continues... 5 stars will be just around the corner

(chapter 1 completed)

i have to say the other review is completely correct. Lydith is the character you will either love or hate, there is no water, there is steam and ice. Lydith applies this definition. I also feel that she can be characterized as a Keren, for the simple fact that she is 100% confident that she is the absolute truth. I wish I had that confidence, she's just... perfect, but thank god she's the protagonist, I couldn't stand to be reading a Mary Sue novel and the villain be 100% sure she's right while committing atrocities, but like FL I like her a lot. <<less
