Based on the positive reviews, I have high expectation for this novel. The premise is intriguing.

Alas.

Disclaimer, this is my personal opinion. If you don't agree with me, well, let's just agree to disagree.

This isn't just my cup of tea. I can't bring myself to enjoy this. I thought because this is 'Josei', I would get to read a serious or quite realistic novel or at least not a dog blood novel. However... This... Isn't this more like a 'Shoujo' novel? I think my expectation was too high... more>> so I was left dissapointed when I finished the novel.

The FL doesn't act like a proper person from the novel era at all. No one is suspicious? No one accused her of being possessed/being a witch? Considering this novel setting is Ancient China Era, I'm really astonished everyone is... I don't know how to say this? Fking s*upid? Fking open-minded? How come a eunuch is allowed to met an and have physical contact with an Imperial Concubine that is half-naked??? I'm sorry, what???

I'm nitpicking, yes, I know. But, no one questioned the FL when she asked the Imperial Kitchen for 'French Cuisine'? How tf the people from that era know 'French Cuisine'?

... and many more instances like that. It's just small things (not really, sometimes it's big things) , if you don't like to nitpick like me, you probably will enjoy this novel. The most infuriating thing is perhaps when ppl thought she got miscarriage when in fact it was her monthly visitor.

I thought the FL will be smart... Oh, disappointment, my old friend. If she is in a Modern setting, maybe. In Ancient setting, she is downright suicidal but it's alright she is the FL so she isn't weird in the slightest, she has Plot Armor, so smart. Clap clap.

Actually, if you aren't strict with the setting and pretend this is Ancient Era but with Modern Norm, this is quite acceptable. The plot is nice, with the twist and turn. The characters... Eh.

Unfortunately, I'm quite strict. So I can't enjoy this. At all.

I also don't like the way the FL white-washed herself, rather than saying she white-washed herself, it can be said the plot armor is so fking strong that everything is alright. She doesn't have the choice when she did those things, it's alright. She isn't treacherous, just misunderstood.

Anyway, kudos for the current translator. It's obvious the translator hasn't get the black belt on MTL, still, thanks. Keep improving! <<less

This was an unexpected read. The author's summary lulled me into a false state of comfort that this would be a funny and light-hearted novel, but I was proven wrong time and time again. It doesn't do the novel justice.

Our female protagonist Yuan Luo doesn't have a system to rely on and give her that essential golden finger when she transmigrated. Instead, she only had her own knowledge from the modern world and the novel she read in order to survive.

However, it wasn't the female protagonist that made me translate... more>> this. It was the twists and turns driven by certain characters that drove the plotline in the direction it did. Everything has an explanation, everything occurs for a reason.

To a degree, they deservingly stole the spotlight of this web novel and created a new standard for me towards side characters. Whether you love them or hate them, you can't deny that the author placed some thought in their roles and gave them the depth to make you remember them. <<less

This novel left me satiated.

Every characters are well fleshed with motives, drive, not just a peanut gallery or were made just for the sake of advancing the plot.

I really like the MC, she is definitely one of the protagonist who used her head well, especially bc she was a modern woman who didnt have experience with political schemes but surprisingly did really well in adaptating even thriving!

The ML definitely not on pedestal here, not some ready made ML. He develops steadily and other male leads also make me wish that... more>> the story is reverse harem. Cause they all deserve MC's love and vice versa.

Just read this, this is a solid story that worth an all nighter. <<less

This is an unexpected good novel

I thought it will be a generic imperial harem cat fighting, but It involves a lot of conspiracies from various people. And so many unexpected twist

Who is the hero? Who is the villain? No one can really tell. All the supposed to be villain in this novel has their own reason, and even the hero in this novel has their own dark mind

I really love MC. She is definitely a vixen! 😂. She saduce the hero and heroine (Her goal is to get 80 stable... more>> point from the protagonists => hero and heroine). I really love her interactions with the heroine (the queen empress) and the emperor. Instead of fighting the favor of the emperor, the queen and emperor fight for her favor 🙈🤣

The childish Emperor : A Luo I missed you っ╥╯﹏╰╥c *hug her right hand

The Empress : (shoved the emperor) I missed you more! *Hug her left hand (reprimanded the emeperor) Stop crying! You crybaby!

LOL. I can't get enough of their interactions! 🤣🤣 I love the male lead Gu Yi

But I have a soft spot for the 2nd male lead, Cai Yunheng. He is definitely my type 😍

And even the 3rd male lead Wu Xi (the queen empress's brother) is so amazing. He is so devoted to his sister, and even I and MC envy his sister!

I almost want a harem ending, or maybe someone can make a drama adaptation of this novel, so that people can write fanfiction about all the other potential ship

This is one of my favorite MC

She is smart, independent, seductive, bold. She is not ML's decoration, or a weak woman that can be easily swayed by the people around her

She is not a typical virg*n mary white lotus b*tch

She is not a "I will kill whoever offended me" type of FML

She is just doing her best to live, and for the people precious for her <<less

I'm liking this story so far but I don't know how much further I'll continue... my personal pet peeve is chapters not linked together and you have to go back to the home page between every chapter. To me that ruins the reading experience...

That said, kudos to the translator for translation! I really like this translation.

Iwant to give it 5 stars but the star rating is not changing. So good. This is the best intrigue story I have read. This has romance+battle of wits+little faceslapping+intense drama, etc. The author of this book is so good👏👏👏👏

Wowwww pulling an all nighter just to have 2/3 story revealed but I felt like the mystery just never end!!! Itss a gooood novel for those who love kingdom intrigues with not so much romance plot! The mystery itself is meticulously written until I couldnt stop reading more and more just bcs I cant handle the curiosity! QAQ

Eventhough it is said to be reincarnation system, but it basically a women being abandoned by the system to whitewashing the troubles herself. Theres really no golden fingers, just the outline of the... more>> stories memorized by the MC.

But what surprising me the most is the story progressing so well, the MC adapted so good into the world, even becoming serious with her role as kingdom ruller, wholeheartedly doing her job, that.....I think she forgot her homesickness??

Bcs the system clearly said that she could go home just by clearing some mission. She didnt have to be responsible whatsoever to that world. But yeah, she clearly did.

Its really nice. I tried to read the MTL coz I can't wait any longer and I didn't regret it. I love it.

By the way, it is HE!

And there's an explanation of why the FL was chosen by the system. Though, I feel sad for the second male lead.

Its fine, at least he's alive. All is well❤️ thanks to the TL, I found this novel☺️
