just a bunch of annoying ass characters and the same repeated cliche over and over again, people underestimating the MC. Everyone is a masochist enjoying these mc's who get treated like sh*t its honestly mind-boggling. I dont find kids in novels cute, I dont know how anyone can, they are just annoying, and so is the little sister with her naivety which isnt cute just irritating

Personally, I don't like it.

MC is initially weak to the point where even his status is filled with only negative traits. Yet, despite that, he still continues to venture in dungeons for his bedridden sister. He has to suffer a life of vilification and defamation due to how weak he is, yet he continues to persevere for the sake of his sister.

The thing is, the concept is touching. Putting your loved ones before yourself is an aspect that many can relate to and connect with. The problem on the other... more>> hand is that it is badly written to the point that one cannot connect to his cause, nor his suffering. The author solves all these issues (MC's sister health and MC lack of power) within the first 10 chapters. Well, that wouldn't be a problem if the chapters were 10k~20k words long, but they are around 500. Which, in other words, is short.

Let's say you can overcome this aspect, thinking of it as some sort of reset, and focus on the story of MC becoming stronger and defeating incredible enemies. The next problem lies with the system.

You see, I am quite the big fan of the concept of the system and love works that can implement their own system properly, even if they might be lacking in some departments. The concept of system is a type of what is known as 'hard magic', and often times, it is accompanied by its counter part, which is more relaxed, the 'soft magic', in the form of skills. This nuance and their implementation is what I find interesting.

This story, butchers it, turning the part that should be covered by the 'hard magic' into 'soft magic', giving 'soft magic' too much power in this case. After all, how could a level 1 MC face someone, considered S-rank, with just skills? This is utter nonsense to me as the author just turns a power that was considered as the top in the world, into baby punches, just to highlight MC. This is just poor writing.

What the author could've done here is that when they made MC overpowered, they would've followed a different system instead the old one. This way, the reader could think of it as MC having some sort of stronger system than the others, leading to an easier acceptance of the power discrepancy displayed.

I am not going to delve into other nonsensical things like having MC, which is at rank F, fight someone of rank S, just to enter a guild. Which, the author did try to explain, but it is still nonsense to me.

Overall, this story is for people that are depressed and those that want to feel cuddled, as this is the only constant feeling I get from the story. Strong and powerful people accommodate MC and spoil him just for being kind. Which once again, for me, this is too much. It creates too much dissonance with what I have experienced in real life that I cannot connect with the story from any angle.

I can tell that the author had some sort of initial plot established, but the finer details like the system or skills and so one are things that have been written on the go, with no further thought put into them. <<less
