The MC is so damn naïve and I seriously wondered how she survived the apocalypse 10 years with her plant, so I kept reading. Despite being betrayed and dying at the start, which causes her rebirth, she still trusts the family that prefers sons over daughters to take care of the little girl. Never mind that it's a common matter in China where older daughters are forced to take care of younger brothers to the point of sacrificing their studies, time, and earn money to send them to university.

It didn't... more>> help with the author having to explain MC's actions of letting them go and not killing them because the son wouldn't survive and this will let them learn how difficult it is to survive in the apocalypse while dragging a child with them. In the beginning of the next chapter.

Spoiler

Anyway, it turned out that the little girl has mental abilities and can communicate with plants and animals. In their previous life, she was also killed by her damn family, and ordered the plant to devour her = MC's plant stopped being wild and can barely communicate with her. So, letting her past self die is to cover the plot hole of another self while strengthening her power.

[collapse]

MC rescues the badly injured FL who was stabbed in the back by her sister, fiance (allegedly), and lab assistants. Despite warnings from her plant, she came back for her and almost died when FL tried to kill her in her sleep. No awareness or sensing killing intent when survived 10 years before?

They finally reached the destination, a military base owned by FL's childhood friend, and later revealed their research on zombies got leaked (the half completed that can allow someone to break through to lvl 9, becoming the zombie king). Currently, MC is at lvl 4 which she started at lvl 3 after the rebirth. Her ability is wood-based plant manipulation. FL is much higher than hers and has 2 abilities - mental energy and acid corrosion.

The antagonists appeared in the story (MC's ex-best friend, FL's sister, and 'fiance'). Both MC and FL don't have good relationships with their parents.

The plant upgraded to lvl 5 and unlocked the sharing ability and passes on the memory of FL wanting to kill MC. MC avoided any form of interaction. With the egging of her childhood friend, FL confesses her feelings to MC, despite still suspecting how MC can quickly raise her power to lvl 4 within 2 months as compared to her friend, lvl 6 in 2 years.

It left a bad taste in my mouth. How can someone want to kill you but stop (as they think you're too dumb to plot against them) then later like you? Rant about future plot

Spoiler

The author has emphasized many times through other characters' thoughts that FL is smart af and that everyone's intellect is beneath her. So many buffs and to think she died so fast in the previous timeline? And she survived this round because the MC saved her from the kindness of her heart (that doesn't extend to side characters or cannon fodders cos they're too ugly) which propels many advancements that happen later such as an all-rounded guidebook for ability users to master their abilities, growing crops in mutated soil, bruh.

[collapse]

Once again, I think the MC became s*upid or didn't have a brain in the first place. Other than her physical stats and power being weaker by 10 years. Hasn't she learned her lesson of trusting people that easily? It seems like the author wanted to make her know about future events but yet full of weaknesses to appear vulnerable to the sinister FL to trigger the latter's protectiveness.

She has the guts to even blushed after the confession and not think about escaping from someone who intended to kill her in the beginning and may be getting close to her to know of her secrets (being a reincarnator). Seeing the plant that has a much higher level of intellect than MC despite being a 7 yrs old kid before and tossed around by FL made me so mad.

This is a time where I wished for a 0 star rating. <<less
