I think this story was quite good. We got an aggressive MC who didn't mind actively pursuing her love. We also got a genuinely kind heroine who adored MC. And we also got a non-scummy prince who didn't ruthlessly abandon MC for the sake of heroine. It really wasn't like other otome game stories where the heroine was a white lotus and the prince was a sc*m. In reality, the three of them actually had a great relationship with each other and the engagement between MC and the prince ended... more>> peacefully without any drama.

Meanwhile, ML had a severe inferiority complex but I really couldn't blame him since he received some harsh judgements since he was a child, particularly from his own mother. So although I found the misunderstanding between MC and ML was quite annoying, I also think that it's quite realistic for ML to think so lowly of himself, considering his bitter past. But thanks to MC's persistence, he would gradually regain his own confidence and find his own happiness with MC.

In conclusion, for this kind of genre, this story was actually quite refreshing although it wasn't that unique so if you want to read a different otome game story, then you could try reading this one. <<less

It's not bad, it's also not attention grabbing. The MC is just trying to vibe and deal with the weird beauty standards that the world she got reincarnated in. ML is insecure for the said beauty standards and that's the entire plot so far.

The trope of misunderstanding here is that the ML feels like the MC got cheated in a typical 'villainness was actually backstabbed by the FL' but MC just shrugs her shoulders saying it's exactly as it is, a misunderstanding.

The author is trying to use the above to introduce comedy in the relationship but it kind of falls flat. The characters feel a little 2D and I can't tell if they doing it because they're trying to make it funny or an attempt at foreshadowing to add another twist to the plot twist.

I would've rate this lower but I feel I'm more biased towards the need for drama. Like the opportunity for conflict is there and they have a good set up for it, but it ends up as a weird attempt at humor that leaves me rather frustrated than laughing. I dropped this before I even got to the latest chapter because of that and the slowness of the plot.

I can tell rather clearly what the author is doing and what they're trying to convey, but there writing falls a little flat for me. Again, biased towards drama here. I feel like this would be good for those looking for a more light-hearted, cute read. <<less

The story itself isn't bad, but it could have been better. The beauty standards in this world are weird and people seems to be fixated on it. You could have good physique, beautiful face and so on, but if yo couldn't have certain hair and eyes color... you are ugly.
