In a starry world where plants are scarce, Que Qiu, originally a Canary Rose, becomes the only Omega in the entire galaxy possessing the rose pheromone after traversing to this realm.

This world venerates violence and harbors a harsh environment where weak plants cannot survive. Almost every being here is a fierce creature, born with genetic defects. Even among the relatively weaker Omegas, Que Qiu is seen as the most delicate and useless, merely a pretty vase in everyone’s eyes.

He fails the genetic test and is heartlessly abandoned on a dark planet, inhabited by doomed fugitives awaiting death.

Countless people, never having seen or smelled flowers, are accompanied only by blood and death, as if living in an inescapable hell.

As a “defective” Omega, beautiful and fragile Que Qiu seems especially weak among bloodthirsty beasts. Everyone assumes he would choose the safest healing ability, but…

In a live broadcast of the interstellar league, he emerges as the sole combat Omega, securing the title of the strongest MVP of the tournament with an undefeated record.

Just when everyone is astounded, the broadcast takes an unexpected turn. Que Qiu’s pheromone imbalance forces his true form to emerge, revealing a golden plant hidden among ferocious beasts to the entire galaxy.

It is… the Canary Rose, a species thought extinct for thousands of years, also known as the Luxurious Canary Bird.

They discover:

Que Qiu’s pheromones can soothe the pheromone imbalance in Alphas;

His creamy-yellow petals can heal genetic defects;

Just one glance at his plant form can relieve nerve pain.

The whole galaxy is in an uproar, with countless people desperately seeking his favor, all for a chance at redemption.

In this interstellar era, the stronger the Alpha, the more severe the genetic defect, making progeny more challenging.

Particularly for the Empire’s Admiral Duan Chensen, as a 3S+ mutant King Butterfly, his lineage is ending with him, marked by diluted blood and scarce kinship.

When he shares this with Que Qiu, he adds a line:

“Watering you day and night, would you bear me a little rose, please?”

This novel isn't that bad but it's not good either in my opinion.

More often than not the author seemed to be a 12 years old writing a fanfiction online.

Spoiler

The MC becomes a virg*n Mary type of character, too selfless... he was so cold at the beginning but the ML created involuntarily a connection to this new world and later he took up "responsibilities that aren't his" to save the world

[collapse]

About the world building highly praised in other reviews: I don't think it's revolutionary, it's interesting but nothing unseen. There aren't even any twists that shock you (except for one that is useless). There's no suspense so you don't feel you want to investigate some truth, it's quite obvious from the start. The best part are the last few chapters in which they actually change the world (in a not very realistic way).

The ML isn't useless as he is needed to make the MC start to care about that world and his real identity is quite helpful for the last part of the novel even if not necessary HOWEVER he isn't very useful either and his identity can be quite strange

Spoiler

I would have preferred if the ML was some uncle or brother of the actual ML but no... he's that egg that was adopted by the MC and will still jokily call him mom from time to time

[collapse]

The thing that emerged from reading this novel was the author's love for canary roses XD <<less

I will put a warning here for the novel

WARNING: attempted r*pe and gruesome depictions

This novel really pushes the reader into the deep end with difficult topics, so I can understand the lower scores, but the depictions aren't the worst I've seen by far. I will also say that the story is staying true to the savior theme from the description and it reminds me of Xianxia with drama and action, but I just wish we saw the male lead more.

This actually good, the world building is amazingGGGGG. This novel also reflects to feminism today and what women fights for. I can tell the author is a heavy feminist.

I don't understand why this got 3.5 when it's so dangg good.😭😭

I actually disagree to Destiny Slay

on the part where they said ML is useless, no he's not, on the contrary he actually played a part on why Qq even stayed. If not for him Qq wouldn't even think about saving and staying to the ugly world he's in, he stayed for his butterfly.

Spoiler

The only thing that icked me is the mommy part, this could've been a cute child raring novel, yk

[collapse]

Unlike other novels where the MC is really strong at the start but when the ML came the MC suddenly became weak and almost close to useless and ended up dragging the whole story making it boring, This one is good GOOD, it showed that MC can do anything without a man.

Spoiler

that's also the reason why the ML not being there is good

I had my fair share of OP characters that I like but the story was quite cliche and the writing was a bit childish.

At some point, I just don't care about the MC's inner turmoil and his path to becoming the holy mary.

But to give some point, the conflict in the story, although not new, was very well shown thru different povs of characters. Like in others, we all know that omegas are arrogant and privileged but actually just canaries without freedom in every stories. But in here, their passive... more>> resistance was shown, that they have their motive and hatred, although still powerless. That it's not just tantrums and ignorance. There's also the suffering of alphas and omegas and their mix of protection and hatred towards omegas. The structure of their conflicts, showing that none of them were in the wrong, and simply being pit against each other due to being the lower class was written very well.

While the side characters worshipping the MC can be a turn off (this is an OP MC story afterall), I actually like the characterization of the side characters more.

Like the chief of the slums and his beloved people, the arrogant little omegas that tried their best to care and protect each other, or those gray characters like the little sparrow (ok this one was really not gray, he went deep end but stopped when he realized that change was coming.)

In fact, the best one was the secondary villain.

Spoiler

An omega mad scientist. I don't really like him. He's icky. Idk if he's crazy or just driven crazy by their ugly world but you gotta respect the guy. He killed and sacrifice others for what he believe as greater good and while MC initially think that this madman does not admit to his mistake, I think the guy was very aware. In fact, when he started, he already knew his ending, and that was to die. Because he's also part of the ones to be sacrifice. Though he choose that while his victims doesn't, I like how he said in the end that only MC was allowed to judge him and kill him. I feel that up until the end, he was proud of his work, no matter how bloody it was and that, for him, everyone were not innocent and only MC is. (Of course this is my reading comprehension but in a way, it's true. Alpha and Beta had to pay the debt of their ancestors while omegas, in this passive protest, did ignore many lives, so yeah, all of them are tainted in their ugly world).

Anyway, he's like some of our great scientist, especially those war scientist. Definitely killed lots of people but pushed an era of great advancements on medical science and technology. It's will be the history that shall judge them.

[collapse]

So while I think the writing is not stellar, I like the side characters that represent the conflicting interests.

The main villain was kinda flat and 1D though, just typical greedy noble that overpower the royalty (royalty are really either decorative incompetent or weak in stories. At some point, I think in most monarchy system, the nobility simply maintain the royal family as a symbol or a living target. The royalty rarely have the real absolute power.)

Idc about his end at all, the secondary villain was more meaningful. Well, I guess even he was used by the secondary villain so yeah, he's not really that great. <<less

This is a very good novel to read if you're bored. The best part of this novel is how the author write the world building. I love it so much !! The only thing I didn't like in this novel is the ML.

Spoiler

MC is very OP and he met many Alpha, Beta, and Omega that likes him. Compared to them, I think the ML isn't good enough. Around 100 chapters, MC achieve what he wants by himself and his friends. Without the ML help. Even when ML loses his memory and stick to MC, I think he became a burden. Ofc MC didn't see him as a burden because MC like him. But by the pointview of the reader (me), I feel like ML became the burden of MC. Making MC movement and development not more free.

[collapse]

Spoiler

When the ML regains his memory, its also around 110+ chapters while this story end with 131 chapter. With this, I think it's better to change the ML or not having ML at all.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Like I said above, the reason I'm giving this novel a 4 stars because the world building. If I'm giving the rating without the world building, I will be aroud 2.8-3.3
