It’s such an intriguing story. It starts off slow and somewhat cliche, with the MC who comes from a small, poor Viscount family falling in love at first sight with the rich and powerful Edwin. I thought about dropping it in the beginning because I felt that Heritta’s crush was a bit silly and shallow, and I couldn’t understand why she was so obsessed with Edwin after only a single glance. But I soon realized that she was just acting as her age—she was just 15 years old when the... more>> story started. The shining point of this novel is the writing style and the characters. The writing is poetic and beautiful, and the translations support the atmosphere perfectly. The characters are complex and written realistically and age appropriately; even if I don’t always agree with their actions or decisions, I understand where they came from and why they act the way they do. The story gives you a clear look into how the characters upbringing, family, and environment all lead to the person they are now, and it makes them all the more human. The two MC play off each other really well, and give off the sense that they have become better people by being together, which is really lovely and makes their love believable. Than I’m 62 chapters in, and a political intrigue plot has also been introduced which has been quite fun so far. I’m really curious how the story will develop from here on out. If you were put off by the cliche sounding synopsis, I’d recommend to give it a try anyway! <<less

I was just randomly search for novel and then boom I found this and binging reading straight till to latest chapter.

My heart was not totally prepared on the later chapters *sobs* *sobs*

totally good novel.
good. Really good *sobs* *sobs*

I like their lovestory, not slow burn but not rush also more on emotional connection.

the ML and FL I really love them.

hello so I'm currently on chapter 1 as you can see. I gave this a 5 star. The translations was quite nice and understandable. I feel that this story has a lot of potential based on the prologue and this chapter I finished. The romance is kinda sweet I guess? Unfortunately, I'm dropping this series because I guess I'm not into romance too much. I recommend this for ppl who is a sucker for romance tho XD.

The story is good. I have only a few complaints. One was that their relationship in the beginning, how their feelings were established, was quite rushed. I wanted more chapters that showed how he had come to love her but their parting was too soon that I wasn't fully invested to their romantic relationship. I actually think her and Bernard's relationship was established better and more realistic. I may be on the minority's side but I kinda hoped that she and the second ML ended up together since I like... more>> their dynamic more.

It would've been bittersweet, and more poetic if Edwin died in her arms, and that at least in his last breath, he found that she was safe. I just couldn't turn a blind eye to everything he had done and ended up getting away with everything without any accountability. It would've been nice to continue with the flow of him regretting his actions and admitting he became a monster, as Herietta decided to forgive him but moved on with the prince. It was quite unrealistic and irresponsible for the prince who cherished his brother and the people around him who died to easily let them go. Nonetheless, the ending felt like a fan service towards those who wanted a happy ending between the FL and ML without having to face any consequences and accountability whatsoever despite ML's abhorrent actions against the innocent people that died along the way because of his revenge.

This series starts off as a slow paced and its seems like an ordinary chiche romance love story in earlier chapter. BUT I have to say this series is actually more than that. I promise u its getting better and better and more exciting later.

I love how the story develops until now, I'm super curious to be honest im in an obsessed mode as I wrote this review here after reading the latest chapter updated.... please dont drop it :") i'll be waiting for the next updates cant waitttttt aaaaaaaskdjklasjdkljaklda... more>> ;A;

And plus point is that I love the title! Creative, attractive title with deep meaning behind it. Lol yeah I have to say its gonna have to be a plus point for a korean novel, right? ;p

edit: 22/1/2024, the day I finally read the final chapter of this novel ;~; Ahh, I got too much feelings about this novel. Unexpected story, I love it. Exciting, so much love and heartbreaks throughout the entire novel, beautiful love story. Turns out I didn't change my mind even till the final chapters. Still 5/5 till the end! Super recommended. FL in the beginning was INSUFFERABLE. She was creating so much drama for a man she didn't even know and saw twice from "afar". Her version of "love at first sight" is cheesy and shallow. She cries and leaves herself hungry for a man she has interacted with for a maximum of 20 seconds... She was clearly delusional. She gets to see him again after a year. What does she do?... more>>

Around chapter 10 she quit simping for him and then the story got readable. But ugh, the parents and her aunt... They were basically trying to sell their daughter with a colorful language. While FL didn't have any interest in meeting men, they were making her show up in banquets, over-decorating her, and bringing up the topic of marriage in any situation. UGH.

In the end, I couldn't care about the characters and stopped reading. I felt like the tragedy would be too forced and checked the spoilers: I was right. FL is a lost s*upid child who doesn't use her brain and the author really had to make the story an unnecessarily dramatic tragedy.

Dropped in chapter 33, it's a very unlikeable novel. I wouldn't say the writing is bad but the plot wasn't doing it for me. <<less

So. Damn. Good. I like the fml, who's a bit of a tomboy and wallflower, and it was cute to read of the blossoming romance between her and the ml. In fact, I was getting a bit complacent with the sweet romance, until later in the story it did a compete 180 and became a romance story with intrigue and mu*der. Not gonna lie, I had to bust out some tissues for some scenes. The translations are on point and this story has some really likeable characters. I recommended this story. The writing skill of writer is really good. Story is good, but MC is quite naive n embarrassingly s*upid. She simply think ML would been sitting idle n counting flower peddles, waiting her to looking for him after her missing. So many ppl died cos of her indirectly, although sm of them really deserve to die. Even though it’s really not her fault her family perished, but her s*upidity really played a great part. MC kept everything to herself n made sm very s*upid decisions. If... more>> she ever disused w smone, she might not fall for the very obvious trap leading to her family’s destruction. It’s really hard to endure the s*upidity of MC especially the early half of the story. The ending of 2nd ML is really unfair n he doesn’t deserve it. Anyway it’s worth to read it. <<less

I must say that this is the second best webnovel I have read this year. There is everything, from romance to violence, bright and dark characters, a well developed plot. This should be at least a 4.5. Read it. You won't regret it
