What’s going to happen when a big villain boss transmigrates into a cannon fodder role in a romance novel?

What’ll happen when she transmigrates into the neglected secret wife of an overbearing president? What about a rich young lady who only discovers that the male lead has counterattacked after breaking up with him? Or the wife of an immortal lord who discarded her like tr*sh once he emerged from hardship?

Shi Wei let out the kind of smile that only belonged to a villain. “It’s fine if you don’t love me now; in any case, you’ll fall in love with me later.”

The system was pretty doubtful at first, but afterwards…he looked at the male leads and male supporting characters who’d been abused until they wanted to die, but were still unwaveringly infatuated with her, and shivered.

Shi Wei said: “The thing I’m best at is convincing people with reason.”

Hello, I’m banoffee, the translator of the first chapter.

This is the tenth novel I’ve finished reading in Chinese, and the first to never have been translated. Since that’s the case, I thought I’d upload teasers of all the untranslated novels I read from now on, so others can enjoy them too. Anyone is free to pick this up 😊

This novel follows a similar line to Ji Moyao’s other scum gong novels, except that it’s BG this time. The main character, Shi Wei, is an overpowered, amoral, beautiful host who transmigrates... more>> between different mission worlds.

In the first arc, she transmigrates into the unloved wife of a CEO.
Spoiler

Qi Jing is an orphan who was adopted into a rich family and fell in love with the heir, Han Jin. Due to his mother’s concern for her, they married when they grew up, but Han Jin never felt anything for her but indifference. As soon as Shi Wei transmigrates in, she divorces Han Jin. She quickly moves out and finds a job as the secretary of a playboy CEO, Zheng Tingxun.

After that, the story follows the typical chase-your-wife-to-the-crematorium plot, where Shi Wei plays the male lead and the male supporting character off of each other.

In the second arc, Shi Wei transmigrates into a character with pretty much the opposite kind of identity—the rich young miss of a powerful family, Zhou Yan.
Spoiler

However, her family business is currently headed for bankruptcy. When Zhou Yan was young, she was betrothed to the son of a family friend, Yi Han, whose family also owned a thriving business. When both of them were children, though, Zhou Yan’s family moved away. Later, Yi Han and his father came to search for Zhou Yan’s father’s help, when their business was about to fail. However, Zhou Yan’s father refused to risk his neck, and Zhou Yan told Yi Han to get lost. Yi Han’s parents both died, and his character completely blackened. He later rose again in the business world and became a powerful CEO in his own right. Now that Zhou Yan’s family is in danger of bankruptcy, her two-faced best friend convinces her she has little option but to seek Yi Han’s help. Yi Han, of course, is coldly dismissive, but tells her that he’ll consider helping if Zhou Yan agrees to sleep with him. Zhou Yan forces herself to comply for a while, but under the persuasion of her adolescent crush, Luo Fei, she leaves him. Yi Han then makes plans to swallow her family’s assets, while Zhou Yan begins a relationship with the man she’s always loved.

In the third arc, which was my favorite, Shi Wei transmigrates into the body of Cui Suyun, the wife of a famous cultivator, Jun Qingning.
Spoiler

He was once an ordinary mortal, a talented scholar, and Cui Suyun was his devoted wife. However, when Jun Qingning went to take the official exams, he encountered a flood on the road. A cultivator saved him, and seeing that he had a rare physique perfectly suited to cultivation, he brought Jun Qingning into his sect. Jun Qingning left without a word to his wife, letting her believe he had died in the flood, and cutting off all his attachments to the mortal world. Cui Suyun waited for him for twenty years, growing old as a widow. Just when she is attacked by bandits, Jun Qingning comes upon her by chance, saving her and leaving her a hundred taels of gold in return for abandoning her. However, as soon as he flies off, his fellow apprentice, the daughter of the sect leader, stabs Cui Suyun in jealousy, since she has a crush on Jun Qingning. Another apprentice, Chu Feng, stands by and makes no move to stop her. Cui Suyun is on the verge of bleeding to death when a demonic sect master, Xiu Ye, brings her back to his sect. There, she walks into a valley of ghosts in an attempt to gain power and take revenge. By dying in the valley, Shi Wei is able to unseal her original powers, and takes on a new form as the incarnation of a spiritual flower. In this form, she can take on any face she chooses. There are three love interests in this arc: Jun Qingning, Chu Feng and Xiu Ye. I loved this arc the most because of Shi Wei’s sudden jump in power; it’s something like the thrill of watching Wei Wuxian after he discovers demonic cultivation. Be warned, however: Shi Wei’s callous character comes out the most in this world, and she sheds a fair amount of innocent blood.

In the fourth arc, which was also enjoyable, Shi Wei transmigrates into Xie Lan, a famous singer. She has a friend named Zhou Zebei, an equally famous songwriter, who enabled her debut and wrote all of her songs.
Spoiler

She’s been in love with him for ten years, but they’ve only ever had a friends-with-benefits relationship, and now, he’s about to get married. After they drunkenly roll into bed together, Xie Lan breaks it off with him. She then begins a relationship with Feng Liwen, the brother of Zhou Zebei’s fiancée.

Be warned: at the end of the story,
Spoiler

Shi Wei doesn’t get together with a male lead. She simply leaves the last mission world and goes back to her life as a successful transmigrator whose hobby is tormenting her fellow hosts.

[collapse]

All in all, I found this story quite enjoyable, even reading it in Chinese. Shi Wei handles her mission worlds with calm confidence, quickly powering through any difficulties. Her naive system, Xiao-Liu, provides a comedic element. I would recommend this novel to any fans of the scum man genre. <<less

I must say I was completely disappointed.

She doesn't wreck anything at least not like the title implies.

She is basically a cannon fodder that acts like a white lotus sacrificing herself to "conquer" the ml. If you want a strong MC... don't go for it. She only shows that she is not a weak woman whe she's talking with the system.

... more>> I wouldn't mind it if after getting 100 affection she lived a happy life with her og personality... but even that doesn't happens. There's not even some enjoyable snusnu on it...

Its basically those cliché romance with a scheming bich that pretends to be good to get a man... just on her perspective.

Spoiler

I aborr the second arc cuz not only she acts pure and naive she even "forces herself to sell herself" to conquer the target. To me as a woman that's disgusting.

[collapse]

I wish she did her missions in another way. It's also bad that she toys with the feelings of people that are not even her target for fun.

To me it's just not worse than novels full of taboos and the ones where the MC let themselves die to complete the 100% affection mission.

Not my cup of tea and the plot doesn't reflect the title hence the low rating. <<less
