Explanation was since ML doesn’t exist in mc’s world, he became a fish (lol how the tables have turned) he can transform as a human eventually though. MC transmigrates into a book as fish and has to complete missions in order to turn back into a human. ML is a mute prince whos the original protagonist of the book. Because of his human like behavior, ML takes an interest in MC and decides to raise him. MC can turn into a human for short amounts of time, which leads ML to think MC is a carp demon. ML pursues him, they get together, they get married, MC bears (fish) babies, they raise them together. Meanwhile, ML competes for the throne and MC uses his book knowledge to support him. With ml's mutism cured and his bloodline secured, ML goes back into the running for the throne. Court shinanigans happen, they knock down their competition, and ML becomes crown prince.
