I like this. This is a light, gentle, sweet, and entertaining read. this is suitable reading when relaxing and enjoying it quietly...

the plot is not big, there is no anxiety... However, a slight disadvantage for me is that reading like this is good at the beginning but when it drags on it becomes boring because the story moves slowly that's why I say this is relaxing reading, when reading novels with some anxiety sometimes my heart gets complicated, but when reading stories like this sometimes it's also a little boring,... more>> what's more, actually I prefer manly couple stories and there is no mpreg genre.

but leave all that... this story is good, I enjoy this story about fish and its master... moreover the antagonist is also entertaining. <<less

it became even more heartwarming. But since mutism is a big part of the ML's character and the plot, you would assume that the author atleast did some research, but no, it seems that they didn't even know that mutism can't be inhereted. Even if you say it's because this is the ancient period, there's still the MC who's from the modern era, he should have known about it. This made it hard to take their main issues seriously, and sympathize on their main problem about their child inhereting it.

This novel is not for heavy plot readers, don't take it too seriously so you can enjoy. <<less

This was fluff on crack lmao. Loved it. Finally a kind emperor, though a bit muddle headed, a respectful wife slav- err husband and loved the little ones! I ignore all plot holes and plot devices because.. Fluff so good.

I enjoyed reading this hehehehe, the kids are cute and all of the problems were solved nicely. The relationship between the MC and ML is so nice hehehehe. To those people thinking that the MC is dumb/childish or something, you are kinda right buttttt the MC also has a good heart and he also have a good character development. He is not the type of person who will just sit there and do nothing when sh*t happens. He is active, hardworking, has a good heart and overall a good personality.... more>> I like him. I like the ML too. I like that he is doting and that he is not like those other ML who is soooo overbearing. All in all, for me this one is a good read especially when you are relaxing. <<less

A not-that-short but quite-sweet story about a transmigrator who ended up as a Fish with a system, and whose missions involve interacting (and eventually seducing and falling in love) with the mute prince. Charming and funny read that doesn't involve much, if any, thinking - just grab a coffee, sit back and enjoy the sugar with occasional salt/bitterness! Definitely worth a reread at certain parts like

So great! I thought this would be a cultivation novel for the longest time... idk why! But I avoided it because of that T.T Only to find out that this is more of a imperial palace intrigue story + fantasy fish with a SYSTEM lolol. The story kicks off with the MC literally on the chopping block. His savior? The ML, Jung-Wang, the mute 5th Prince. Who he recognizes as the wife-pampering-tyrant from the novel he had just read. He manages to survive and thrive thanks to this initial connection... more>> and the SYSTEM in his head—which quickly initiated tasks to close the distance between them. The rest of the story involves a fish acting coquettish to bend conquer the tyrant and succeeding.

Starts of primarily romance-centric. It's a slow burn since the MC starts off as a pure fish LOLOL. As the end nears, more and more intrigue is mixed in as the battle of the throne goes into full throttle. Oh, and of course, we mustn't forget the MPREG tag, which already heavily implies that this novel becomes more family oriented the further that you go.

I ended up not finishing the novel, but I feel quite satisfied since it's pretty much a HE already. If you're hesitating on reading this like I did before, I suggest giving it a shot! At least 5-10 chapters~ I guarantee that it's worth the read. The tone of the novel is very light and humorous, so it's an easy novel to just sit back and enjoy. The characters are also pretty good, and the romance is cute! Translation is well done too, so there's really nothing to worry about!

CHARACTERS: 8.5/0

The characters for this novel are all pretty distinctive, which I liked. I noticed some inconsistencies, but nothing too big.

Li Yu (MC)

Transmigrator turned fish! He doesn't have many strong ambitions. He just wants to be human again, and isn't put off by the fact that he has to complete SYSTEM tasks to do it. Personality-wise, he's your typical kindhearted, stubborn little shou LOL.

Jing-Wang - Mu Tianchi (ML)

The fifth prince and only living son of the empress. He was portrayed as the mute tyrant protagonist of the novel the MC read. But when MC arrived, he hadn't completely been blackened yet. His pampering ways are innate though LOL, once MC earned his favor, he went all out~ Personality-wise, he's very melancholic, or stoic, rather. Since he can't talk, he shows his presence off through eye contact and his natural bearing.

ROMANCE: 8.5/10

Although I don't usually like typical, sweet romances, the way the author handled this one was pretty good! I had a lot of fun reading about how the ML doted on his fish LOL

SETTING: 8/10

Oof! Not gonna lie, I noticed a lot of inconsistencies in the setting. Most especially with the MC's golden fingers, which is able to be used in the most impossible ways should the plot require it. There are other hang ups too, but not as notable.

Inconsistencies aside though, the fish!MC premise was really a unique set-up, and the author handled it very well. There was lots of fun to be had as a result.

PLOT: 9/10

The plot, especially in the beginning, was gold! The slow pacing was particularly suitable for introducing the MC and ML's romance development over time, which was well handled. Overall, I wasn't disappointed at all in the beginning. Though, because of personal preference, my interest died out before the end.

RATING: 4.25/5

I always wondered how this novel could be so popular. I just couldn't imagine a fishxhuman romance that didn't directly include mermaids LOL! Turns out, I was shortsighted! Ahhh. This is definitely worth the read, and I'll come back to check it out again in the future. I gave it a five star rating despite for personal enjoyment alone~ <<less

I decided to read this because the absurdity of the story in it self... (it's fantasy to another level so don't use your brain)

A mute character that falls in love with a fish... Really could not picture it, the result was I did picture it, it's a well writen story with palace drama, funny moments and lots of fluff.

ML is like one of the best i've read and MC is quite funny.

Over all is an original story because of the little details, like the emperor that for once isn't... more>> an idiot... Or the servants or the amount of fishes and other pets...

The tl's notes are awesome!! They helped alot with context and made it an even more enterteining expirience. <<less

It was an interesting story and the ending was pretty good!!! It's such a shame that there are parts that are extremely boring which led me to stop at chapter 100 before and just continued now. Over all, it's a type of story where you don't need to use your brain, which to me is the perfect story when chilling.

MC transmigrates into a book as fish and has to complete missions in order to turn back into a human. ML is a mute prince whos the original protagonist of the book. Because of his human like behavior, ML takes an interest in MC and decides to raise him. MC can turn into a human for short amounts of time, which leads ML to think MC is a carp demon. ML pursues him, they get together, they get married, MC bears (fish) babies, they raise them together. Meanwhile, ML competes for the throne and MC uses his book knowledge to support him. With ml's mutism cured and his bloodline secured, ML goes back into the running for the throne. Court shinanigans happen, they knock down their competition, and ML becomes crown prince.

its a silly novel but it has its cute moments. I especially like the beginning where li yu was still a fish trying to hide his identity but jing wang already had him figured out lol. Hes a dumb fish but a good fish.

the author's cutesy way of writing li yu is refreshing and funny and thankfully not overdone.

the plot's a court intrigue (in the loosest terms) but doesnt really have the feel of one. Theres no angst, no suspension, only a healthy dose of face slapping. Despite this, the novel is fairly plot driven which makes me feel kinda :/// because the plot isnt super well written lol. But its still palatable and managed to hold my attention most of the time. Its a 3.5/5 at best from me <<less

ahhh this is such a cute story!!! The story mainly revolves around the romance of the mc's and most of their problems comes from the fight for the throne. If you're here to see some heavy drama then you're in the wrong story. The palace intrigue aspect is just perfect for me because the author is very meticulous when it comes to developing the relationship between the MC's.

LY is not outstandingly smart or a genius, but he is born in modern times and think as a modern man.

MTC is clever and very devoted to his fish (later became his wife lol).

Babies is very cute, but so many!

Overall this story is acceptable.

One of the best BL novels I've ever read. Dang, there's no plot holes (for me) and all the mysteries and secrets have been found throughout the story just right. It was not too fast or too slow. The communication between the MC and ML is so satisfying and good. Like the whole story was so good, the author really thought about the plot and how the narration will be carefully. I loved it because it's fun, light, and sweet. I should rate this a 5 but the development of the story is not that deep and it's full of plot holes, so for this I should rate this a 2. In the end in rated this a 4 because if you can shut your brain of selectively when encountering a plot holes, the story is easy to read and really, really fun. I likes it and read it to the end, just try it yourself !

I did not think I would enjoy this novel but I really did. At first it was difficult for me to get invested because the MC was literally flopping around as a fish. But then you start meeting the characters and it quickly turns into a romance with a really good court politics plot.

The characters are all pretty interesting. I think something that I really liked was the fact that the MC is pretty empathetic. He can see the perspective of other people and has enough emotional intelligence to bury the hatchet with people that may not have been the most welcoming to him initially.

ML takes the “stoic, quiet, rich and powerful gong” thing to a whole new level lol. He’s literally mute. It’s a cliche, but at least the author made a more valid excuse for why the ML never speaks. I did like him though, one of my favorite tropes is an aloof, cold ML that is remarkably soft on MC. He’s exactly that “happy husband, happy life” type of guy that I love. I liked the fact that he was a bit eccentric toward the beginning with the love of his “fish”. Unfortunately, he does lose that once he finds out MCs secret.

They do have biological children together through the power of BL. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone that doesn’t like/tolerate mpreg because MC does become very pregnant. The children are adorable, though it is clear that the author, and all the characters in the novel are biased toward the eldest and youngest children. Especially the eldest. Makes you kind of feel bad for the middle children but what can you do. Regardless, the children are very cute and will warm your heart.

Characters in the novel were complex enough. I would say some of the characters had very interesting motivations. I liked the fact that there was a fairly equal amount of representation when it came to men and women. Some men were antagonist, some women were antagonistic; some men were allies, some women were allies. It made the world feel more realistic.

The court politic were really good. Schemes, conspiracies and pretty much any kind of twist and turn you can think of were utilized by the characters in an effort to ascend the throne.

Personally, I would recommend reading this novel. It’s got just enough politics and plot intrigue to keep the novel interesting. And just enough fluff and dog food to feed your soul lol. <<less

Not yet done but can't help myself but to comment. This is actually the first time I read a protag actually admitting to himself that he's the biggest fraud.

Most of the transmigration novels I read, when the ML lied (white lies mostly, but lies none the less), MC gets really mad/throws a tantrum without even realizing the fact that their existence in that world is pure lies as well. I always want to knock some sense to those MC, like dude, your throwing a tantrum cos ML deceived you, aren't... more>> you deceiving him too?

It's just refreshing that somehow, an MC actually realize that he can't just criticize someone for something he does himself.

Anyways, back to reading. 🥴🥴 <<less

I definitely enjoyed how humorous it was. Some side characters and villains were also well written. MC and ML is not Op too. Also, the MC and ML's interaction was adorable, however, I was not able to finish this because I got a bit tired with how naive and dense the MC was. And the progress of the story starting from the second mission made me bored.

I was expectant of the mpreg and child raising, but I guess the story pacing was not for me. Don't get me wrong, I... more>> know this is a one of kind story especially how it was unique from all of the QT story with a system. Furthermore, the translation is of good quality and I like how the translator put notes for explanations. So, it's still can be recomended for those who like a light-hearted and unique story. <<less
