Gu Mian transmigrated as the female partner of the popular novel “I’m So Popular”. The original owner disliked the fact that the male lead came from a bad background and dumped him three times which resulted in a tragic end of their relationship.
Gu Mian was fearless even when she was controlled by the plot.
She only waited for the original plot to end so that she would retreat and hide her merit and fame.
But!
Gu Mian was stunned.
Why couldn’t she even break up for the first time?
  -
The male lead said indifferently, “I can’t be your boyfriend anymore.”
Gu Mian breathed a sigh of relief, did he finally agree to break up?
The male lead’s thin lips twitched lightly, “So Mian Mian, let’s get married.”

It's a cute, fluffy, romance, feel good story. There is not a lot of drama, a ton of pampering, minor face slapping, there were a lot of confusions at the beginning but the translation was good and make up for it.

I love that there was a side story for the love life of the 2nd ML.

This novel is sugary junk food for people who want to read about a sweet couple. There's not much substance to it, but it's an easygoing read you can turn your brain off for.

I suppose it's a bit late now given the translator is 140 chapters in, but I don't think "Buddhist Girl" is the best way to translate the title. Zen or something might be closer. FL isn't religious in any way, although she has some fortune-telling skills that she never uses. She just has a very zen mindset,... more>> which is to say most things do not affect her emotionally and if anything does end up upsetting her, she gets over it very quickly. <<less

It's just a fluff story. There's no major conflict and most of it is resolved easily. Questioned the MC's intelligence a couple times.

Decent read. Would recommend.

It's a cute and light story. Any antagonists are taken care of quickly. I wanted to read a story where the MC is lucky and that's what I got.

The content of the story can be described as: lucky koi, showbiz, 1:1 relationship with zero deviation, HE.

I wish MC's prior transmigration life was more important and relevant but it isn't too important except certain occasions. With how the story first started, I thought her skill with reading faces and such would become important but it didn't.

Also the main book plot was... more>> important and present but also not too important since all that seemed to truly matter was MC taking initiative to break up the three times. I didn't enjoy the extra at the end. It was a fine story but didn't really call to me. If he was going to get a romance line, it would have been better if we got it within the same story timeline - could be this new girl no issue with that. Or if it was going an alternative world style, then let it be with MC. Or better yet, an extra about MC original world. <<less

I recommend this novel I really loved the FL and ML but the only thing I didn’t like was the side story at the end for cheng zi
Spoiler

I would like to prefer if it was in the original storyline with the FL and ML but in this side story the FL and ML maybe didn’t exist together... Also I fin Bo huan is bit... scary/crazy she’s like a stalker... I don’t like her... I would prefer someone better for Chang zi he deserves it

Imagine a 2500+ chapter dog blood plot cliche Mary Sue novel, where MC is surrounded by enemies, fights, schemes, etc. This novel is what would happen if all the potential troubles resolved themselves off-screen.

On the one hand, it's kinda nice that we can experience the whole thing in less than 300 chapters. On the other hand, conflict is what makes those stories interesting.

The main conflict in this story is between the MC who is forced to follow certain plot points in the original story and the ML who likes her.... more>> She has to participate in various entertainment projects, and also fulfill certain 'villainess obligations'.

Unfortunately, her "koi physique" makes everything super easy, barely an inconvenience. So all we get is her angst about the future, and lots of sweet dog food. <<less

It May not be your best read or leave a deep impact in your impression but it was enough to kept you entertained & keep tapping the next chapter. At least for me this was enjoyable. One of my favorite part about this novel is probably bc there were no exaggerated face-slapping scenes. The FL live up to the title which is quite relatable to me bc I also hates unnecessary trouble. And my most favorite part is of course the romance!! It’s been awhile since I read of this... more>> genre where it focuses more on the Romance and that’s exactly what I was looking for and it delivered and satisfy my craving, I was on a cloud nine. As for the ML, someone mentioned in the comments that he was bit pushy but I don’t think he is? He was the perfect match for someone like FL who had Buddhist temperament. My only complaint is that cheng zhi story Is too short and he deserves his own book but overall it was still a satisfying read for he also have his own happy ending. Last but not least you guys can read this at ease bc there is no angst or misunderstanding in the relationship thus it’s 5/5 <<less

I really like FL’s personality. ML can be a bit less pushy in my opinion. The story was ok but I kind of hate that they kind of stopped caring about anything else aside from the relationship lmao but they’re young so I guess that’s realistic?

Giving the stars only for the interesting possibilities that a Zen MC could be in an entertainment circle.

As someone who rarely reviews (especially negative ones), had to log in just to gripe about author's plot inconsistencies.

I mourn the lost of Mr Lou Dingan (?), the original father of ML. Haven't read far enough to confirm whether the princess, ML's original mother, was still his mother or not. If not, the two original parents deserve a story of their own.

Well, maybe one day I'll try finishing this story and edit/rereview.

Novel started out pretty good with the ML slowly falling for the laidback FL. I enjoyed seeing FL overcome her "tasks, " with each time making the ML fall harder. But then the novel got really boring after

Spoiler

Lou Che leaves the entertainment industry and takes over the family business empire as Cheng Che. I just wasn't interested in reading about how he overcomes his enemies in the business world.

This novel was considered as a very laid-back novel with minimal drama and face slapping. Some might find it boring because MC's way to stardom was very smooth sailing. Even when she was still very new to acting, she still could gain director's approval due to her luck.

Her romance with ML was also almost without hurdle.

Spoiler

Even when she asked him to break up with her several times, she never successed even once.

The original heroine barely made any wave and she was defeated without MC lifting any finger. Even the big boss who was supposed to be the biggest obstacle to ML's attempt to gain a foothold in his company was suddenly left the arena before he could do anything. In the end, the villains in the story were practically useless. So basically, this story focused more on MC and ML's lovey dovey moments and barely left any room for other character's development.

In conclusion, if you're looking for something more, then you're at the wrong place. But if you didn't mind the flat plot from the beginning till the end then maybe you would find this story a bit more enjoyable. <<less

It's a good casual read. Not much up and down but still a fun ride.

It just that I don't like the story near the end. I feel like they're supposed to be like special chapters showing how they are after? Very bland and boring in my opinion. The side story is decent but wasn't that emotionally invested with 2ML.
