“I, because I am going to marry the princess. So, go back to the village and marry someone else.”

Maylene, the apprentice saint, has her engagement broken by her childhood friend who was chosen as the hero.

Maylene searches for a new job. She is asked to work in the Demon World as a substitute for the former Great Saint, and she accepts the position… as the snack attendant at the Demon King’s castle?!

Using her knowledge from her past life and bestowed magic, her days of cooking begin.

Demon King-sama, who eagerly looks forward to snacks, and the fluffy Cerberus.

Even the initially cold wizard, Tyran, gradually changes his attitude…

“It’s just a thank you for the ice cream!”

―On the other hand, in the human world that Maylene left, something incredible is happening!

――This is the story of a discarded saint finding her place and becoming happy.

Sweet, fluffy story with lots of sweet snacks. Heroine is not the most clever person, but lovely and helpful. The translation has its limits, but the plot is mostly understandable.

The story was an easy enough read but it lacked descriptions. The author doesn't describe what the characters look like (or any thing else), you have to go by what you see in the thumbnail picture.

Not even the food she made is really described, which is fine since for the most part I knew what those things were. But, still I would have appreciated having that description to flesh out the scene.

There were some things I didn't know what they were so I had to look it up online so... more>> I could imagine the scene.

The author also does a poor job of clarifying who is speaking, rather they don't do it at all. Even when the character is reading a letter, I got confused a little because her thoughts were jumbled in with contents of the letter without being clearly indicated.

Despite all of this, I was still able to finish it. It lacked many things, it even lacked a satisfying conclusion (there were many loose ends) however, it had an engaging mellowness to it. The characters weren't irritating. It is something you could read without investing too much of your self into. A decent read if you need to kill time, or as a palate cleanser in between novels (maybe). <<less
