This is honestly really good and feels like a modern version of Robinson Crusoe.
MC's System up until ch212 is the only fantasy/supernatural part of the novel. It lets him achieve peak human condition in some areas, superhuman in others (his sight can become the former, his strength the latter)
Their survival is harsh, and they suffer a lot of setbacks even up to 1/3 rd of the novel (and more are incoming from what I've skimmed). It seems pretty realistic, unlike some works where "stranded" protagonists suddenly develop cheat skills and find lost civilisations (like Cave King for example). MC has a lot of support from his system which also works as a survival encyclopedia, but they still have to find food and craft things on their own.
The girls start not fully understanding their predicament, but they're steadily growing, learning new skills and becoming true partners to MC.
The "harem" part is not unearned. The girls gradually fall in love with MC, who dissuades them at first. Not because he's dense and has no urges, but he prioritizes survival and knows a pregnancy when they don't have stable food sources and, for a long time, even water, would be fatal. He also doesn't consider other forms of this activity, since they're a waste of energy.
He does lose his V-card pretty fast though. His first is surprisingly the last survivor who joins them, the flight attendant. They save her life after going to a second island early on, since the one they were stranded on has no water sources. At the point they do she was delirious from willingly eating hallucinogenic mushrooms after losing her will to live. It's only been about a week, but she was alone and lost hope of being rescued. So she chose to die in the most pleasant way she could imagine.
She's still delirious when they do it and she technically, uh, "struggle snuggles" MC in his sleep. When she fully wakes up she's mortified, but since she's an extremely good looking woman MC doesn't care.
There's some chinese nationalism, and from what I skimmed it kinda gets ramped up later, but in the chapters I've properly read it' doesn't go overboard. They find a skeleton of a WW2 era japanese pilot, still stuck on a tree, and promptly
bash it to bits. If you read up what the Japanese did during their occupation of China it's easy to understand their frustration.
There's also comedy, but it's mostly centered on the girls believing MC is thinking with his lower half (which ironically they end up doing more often than him :)), while in reality 9/10 times it's a complete misunderstanding, and the remaining 1/10th is him being actually le*d, but very, very careful with it. For example he tricks a girl stung in the buttock by a scorpion into thinking it's an extremely venomous species (it's not) so he can "suck out the poison" (btw, never do that in real life, it's counterproductive). In an actual emergency, when a truly dangerous snake bit another girl, he did not play around and did as much as he could to lessen the impact of the venom with the limited resources they had.
I recommend reading this.
Edit:
After 450 chapters covering the first year there are some timeskips and shortly after they hit ther 3 year mark they're finally discovered. Sadly, it ends on a jingoist note.
Due to some earlier changes to maritime laws in regards to uninhabited islands they decide to help their glorious Motherland. Since they're the only ones who can legally stay on the island (well, it's actually their children, but they can stay as their parents), which gives the navy pretense to patrol the area and spread their influence. You know, for safety.
They're tested by some international animal rights organisation to check if they've truly lived on that island for so long, and after an obligatory a**hole amongst them gets humiliated thoroughly (by both MC and the girls) they get the greenlight to continue living there.
If course that's not the actual end and there's a bit of drama, which I won't spoil, but the conclusion is they return to living on the island.
While the last chapters drag on a bit it's still a really fun novel and doesn't change my recommendation.
