Aono Eiji, an ordinary high school student, is dating the most beautiful girl in his class, Amada Miyuki, his childhood friend… They had been in the same class since elementary school and lived near each other. They should spend their youth happily and be together for the rest of their lives… But Eiji not only misses his birthday, but he also catches Miyuki cheating on him with Kondo-senpai, the ace of the soccer team. When Eiji tries to confront Miyuki about the affair, he is tricked by Kondo, and worse, Miyuki betrays him, calling him a lousy domestic abuser who is violent towards his girlfriend and isolates him from everyone around him… To escape the cold looks of the people around him, he eats onigiri on the rooftop, but when a junior student, said to be the most beautiful girl in the school, is about to jump off the roof, Eiji manages to save her with desperate persuasion and his honor begins to be restored, along with many students who see Eiji befriend and hang out with her… Life reversal: Kondo and Miyuki go into a hard life mode and start to fall down the hill…

This one is... complicated.

Let's focus on the elephant in the room first. If you're put off by the NTR in the title, don't. It's not really NTR and more like cheating, the 2 cheating heroines walked down this path willingly. If you're still hesistant, you can skim through the first 5 chapters and you still would not miss anything important.

And now that got out of the way. This story is 2 fold.

1. The revenge story part. It's meh, there's nothing hook me in and everything just keeps going on and... more>> on and on and on. The antagonists and those fell for his charms are made into cartoonishly irredeemable.
The 2 cheating heroines are written to be as dumb as possible, Eri I can understand, but Miyuki is still a whole can of worm that I can't describe. The justifications she made for cheating is obvious and I'm not going to go into that, but the real reason behind her actions that pushes her down to this road is the s*upidest one that the author could conjure. The more the story tries to spin her character, the less I can understand her. You could say that it's their folly of youth, but really? That's just weak writing. If you wanna take the story out of the world, gotta take the writing along with it. But like I mentioned, the author tried their best to make these people irredeemable so much that the readers won't pay two cents about them.

2. The romance part, actually this is a good one, which is why I said it's very complicated to judge this story. If you treat this story as a boy-meet-girl adolescence school romance story, it's actually pretty interesting, a unique take from the usual romance slops. I actually like reading about Ai and Eiji.

The translation is meh. You can immediately figure out that this is your usual MTL, but I should say that this TL spend more effort on this but ehh. There're a lot of paragraphs and conversations that I had to do a double take. There're also a lot of points across the story that's a bit incomprehensible, that is until I realize that the story is suppose to be told through third person narrative accompanied by first person monologues and thoughts, but everything in the translation is made into first person.

And last point. Like really? Why are we censoring words? There're a lot of censoring across the chapters, like why? Are we suppose to let kids read this or something? One of the biggest complaint I have regarding the translation is this. <<less

Another typical story about how the nice guy who always wins the hottest girl after getting cheated on because plot favors him. If only reality was this damn easy. Japanese beta males are a f*cking cancer in Jap LN these days. It's either this or the cringey I got betrayed by the hero party bla bla bla and they regret it later stuff. It's f*cking over used at this point.

Coming to the review. I'd say 3 to 3.5. Its not something bad to read. You can definitely live without reading... more>> this but if you do choose to read, it won't be a waste of your time. <<less

I've been enjoying it. I won't get into much, but after a fairly short few chapters that were rough for MC, nearly everything in his life is turning out on his favor. It reeks of plot armor. Major self fulfillment vibes. The more I write the review the more I realize it's kind of disappointing just how little difficulty there is.

To clarify, dude gets cheated on and NTRed on his birthday. That sucks dude I feel for you. He spends a few days shut in his room until school starts. Understandable. Goes through a half day worth of bullying because ex and bastard spread false rumors about him and he already gets the urge to jump.

A half day of bullying. Really?

But fine, he's in a rough spot, I can see that sudden urge when you feel your life crumbling. But from that single day, the entire world turns to support him outside of the classmates. And even then, the classmates barely say sh*t to him, there's barely any more bullying from anyone. Literally every adult in his life is trying to support him and help.

I will say it's a nice change of pace from a lot of the usual tropes of betrayal where for no reason absolutely everyone in the world believes the person who lied.

He gets the typical hottest girl in school on his side as well because he's a nice guy. It's just so much.

I'll keep reading it, I want to see how it ends. I'm enjoying it too. It just feels like the main character is barely even the main character anymore.

He has no hardship. It's too clean. It was maybe 10 chapters, if that, of hardship for MC. And then 80 chapters of watching everyone rally to support him, and watch the cheating ex and bastard guy fall into despair. <<less

I must say, this novel mainly about unrealistic take on how adults behave against bullying... though, it doesn't mean I don't enjoy the story!

It's quite satisfying to see the evil people get punished while the good guy get rewarded. Sure, in real life, this kind of occurrence is almost impossible to happens. But hey, let me enjoy this idealistic depiction about the proper way to deal with bullies. 🙄

just like what the man before me explain, this novel really enjoyable. It's simple theme about MC who want to spent his birthday with his gf but got ntr and bullied. Even so, he got many help and support from others while the ex gf and the one accused him fall to abyss.

It's just prediction so don't really believe what I going to say. I can see her mother may be die due heart attack to reach Eiji's mom for apologized on her way to their house or she abandoned her child. Look, is there no parent who disappointed to what their child done to their lover. Well, that's karma that you got after betray someone who kind to you for 10 years.

This Kondo family now in verge of ruin. I van see the father going to mental health after pressured by his superior and public. His child may got worse as well since his dream to became top player of japan national team gone. His former friend or I can say former soccer clubmates decide to beat him and broke his leg so he couldn't do soccer again ever. And Eri, one of his s*x friend will kill him before kill herself.

And Literature club president who is the real master mind can be expelled and the club dissolve due his envy to Eiji's talent in novel. Its just from she discover his writing talent and want wo destroy him but its backfired instead.

Now that the secret batman aka Endo could move on, I hope he got his own happiness now that he found new love and not think Eri anymore. I sad Eri dream, future, love, and her family bond broken because Kondo.

This one's honestly a bit weird in that it takes the strange, incredible level of suspension of disbelief that NTR requires and applies it in the complete opposite direction with equal amounts of strength. Whereas in an NTR story everything cosmically aligns in terms of misfortune, here everything is cosmically aligned in terms of karmic fortune.

The protagonist's GF is a moron who cheats and is then goaded into lying to slander the MC by the bull. Our protag, who is basically the spiritual gattai of Jesus Christ, Ghandi, Bob Ross,... more>> Nelson Mandela, Dolly Parton and every godly historical person of peace in human history, has the entire class turn on him because of these lies and he contemplates su*cide. Then God decides to have him win the karmic spiritual powerball and E V E R Y T H I N G starts to go right in a ludicrous fashion.

He immediately finds another girl who happens to be younger, prettier, richer, powerful and better in every way compared to his old GF. The parents, school faculty and every adult besides the bull's dad bend heaven and earth to support him emotionally and tangibly with direct action. All his classmates apologize upon learning the truth. The GF is ostracized so badly it veers right into her own mother all but disowning her "KYS whore, I have no daughter" territory. The bull is arrested, his dad is politically ruined by trying to cover up the scandal, the GF is so emotionally attacked by everyone but the protag it could be labeled as revenge torture p*rn. It's miraculous she hasn't killed herself (at least she didn't at the point I stopped reading).

Read if you want to read something ridiculous, but in a positive way. <<less
