Yuan Shaoyue was a scum gong, and because he was such a big scum, he drove the person he loved the most in his life to commit su*cide. Then he was reborn, wanting to make up for the mistakes he made in his previous life and treat his lover well.

However, he found out that his lover had become a much cooler and more domineering person than in his previous life… He thought he had obtained him.

What I got was a script about a sweet pet who was reborn, but I didn’t expect that what I got was actually a script about being brutally sanctioned after being reincarnated.

Oh this is very bloody and heavy. Don't be fooled by the light-hearted novel introduction. I've MTLed it a few years back and it's been probably my first novel where the shou became gong for revenge after rebirth.

If you like revenge, it's delicious, but if you are an ML control (ML biased) and want a lot of sugar fast, you'll probably be very uncomfortable while reading. Lots of people will probably hate the MC and side with the ML, saying that he has already atoned for his sins. Hellow fellow dogblood enjoyers, this novel is the usual recipe (toxic love/rape/abuse party), so to newer readers if you come looking for a deep poignant story, this isn't it. Now that aside, I read this a while ago, and I really enjoyed reading this, because this is one of the few novels that actually delivered the 'revenge'/'scum gong suffering' that is promised in the summary, usually, the dogblood novels I've read, our MC in his new life usually swears to take revenge/make the scum ML suffer, but they end up... more>> going back to him anyway, with not nearly as much promised suffering, but not in this novel.

You see, in this novel, the scum man actually suffers for what he did to the shou, and then some. That is so rare to find, so I was pleasantly surprised when the author delivered on it, hence I found this novel refreshing, it wasn't just 'oh but the seme has changed in this life', that the seme must be forgiven because he regrets it/repents. Though personally I do think Shou should only hurt him the same way the scum man hurt him, (like the belt beatings/slaps etc), but then our Shou-turned-Gong goes past that, and inflicts even more suffering on his once-abuser, so it really depends on where you draw the line with revenge (should the victim forgive the abuser because the abuser has truly repented? Should a victim only inflict the same amount of pain in revenge as what was inflicted on themselves? And that's not even bringing in the morality/lifetime questions of the characters), this is a true role reversal.

Though I just focused more on the dogblood/angst XD that was pretty satisfying, (coming from someone tired of Scum Gongs being let off easily) I loved that shou-turned-gong made him have a taste of his own medicine,

I was told it was BE, but ive been so used to these toxic novels "BE" being the toxic couple seperating (which is HE in my book lol) that this being a genuine BE/OE where the toxic couple stays together as the BE had me shook, and I love the ending parallel to how the scum Gong had first hurt our Shou, vs our Shou-turned-gong who is finally in complete control with roles reversed

It is as the premise said, a book where abuser get abused and it delivered. As a csa survivor, this book is a good way to vent. Not once did I feel bad for Yuan Shaoyue, honestly he deserved it. To expect love after what he had done, it is amusing how much audacity this guy had. Yes, Chu Jinfei went to far but to be fair if I were him and if there was no such thing as a law, I would 'repay' the guy who ruin me tenfold,... more>> too. I can relate to him because you can't really be the same person you once was after getting violated. I understand that, I understand his hatred. <<less

Oh my, if you guys are into some bloody and tragic novels i'd love to recommended this one for you! As the premise said, the story is about scum gong who reborn after he claimed that he have repented all his evil deeds to the shou, but instead in this 2nd life, he became the suffering shou, while the suffering shou became the scum gong! At early chapters I was so irritated as I read Yuan Shaoyue's POV and this guy truly deserves all the tortures ugh I hate him... more>> so much, not once I sympathize for him, I even enjoyed and looked forward to him being beaten up by Chu Jinfei 🫡. Also, because I can't stand all of his (YSY) dirty thoughts and his crave for CJF's love, I skipped many early chaps, I was so bothered by having to read the novel from his POV.

Yuan Shaoyue has always been strong and domineering. He is used to controlling everything and dominating everything. He likes challenges, conquers, and the satisfaction brought by success.

But now he had to be controlled and dominated, locked with iron chains in a bedroom of dozens of square meters, unable to do anything but be f*cked. (Chapter 61)

".... Then what is the difference between what you are doing now and what I did before?!"

Chu Jinfei was slightly startled, and then He actually laughed out loud:

"Difference? Of course there is", He looked directly at Yuan Shaoyue: "You did that because you thought you liked me, but I just wanted to retaliate against you and make you suffer".

In an instant, Yuan Shaoyue's breathing seemed to stop.

Chu Jinfei continued: "Besides, why are you so angry? I'm just treating you the same way you treated me before. What's wrong with me returning to you what you did to me before?" (Chapter 65)

Update:
I finished it already! The ending feels a bit open ending because they're not that dramatic and clear about the ending situation but i'd say its BE (generally speaking) but for me personally, i'd take it as a HE, not because they're still together til the end, but because they're STILL together till the end. In other words, YSY still have to suffer from all the torments that awaits him. <<less

I agree with Kislanyk. However, yes... call me ML biased, but I don't hate the MC. I think the ML deserved it since he perpetually becomes a shadow in MC's life even after rebirth, gave MC much trauma.

But, I think that MC should just let him go since
