What really bothered me about this novel wasn't that the MC was a brainwashed waste in his past life, or the ML was kinda s*upid (I mean if you need the MC to tell you that criminals may run away if not monitored, yeah, probably not that smart), but how much injustice the author just hand-waived because f*ck a happy society. Not only are powerful psychics in desperate need, but they're also treated like prisoners and are restricted from wandering about because they're precious. The MC does nothing to deal with this btw, he just uses his merits to let the royal family (who are not in power, but still in power because it's easier than writing a democratic system) let him stay with the ML. To hell with everyone else.

Then there was the fact that the antagonists are a "Mysterious Organization" (like in Detective Conan). Who have unlimited wealth, resources, people and scientific research. They've been running wild for centuries kidnapping people to use as experimental subjects or s*x s*aves and the Empire doesn't even know (or care), because they're so far up their own ass. In the old time-line the Organization won. The MC doesn't even mention it though, because the author really didn't want them to have to really change anything. What people are recovered are killed anyway because they are traitors, whatever pain they went through with no one even knowing they were missing is all their fault anyway.

Basically, this novel got a low rating for me because of all the horrible things that are just mentioned and discarded, never to be dealt with. That guy who killed his twin brother haunted me, and f*ck this novel for using victims of human trafficking as disposable cannon fodder. I didn't want to read about the s*upid MC and the s*upid ML who were blessed with the best circumstance, I wanted to read about the people whose lives were ruined and were never revealed because people might think badly of the royal family if they knew.

MC is very unconvincing, in his first life his whole family was killed, he was framed, hunted down, captured and died tryng to escape "without whole body". After rebith he is acting like he is teen, no PTSD, nightmares, trust issues or paranoia - nothing at all (???). It is hard to belive he experienced that life.

At ch.9 already a contradiction, did author even remember what she/he wrote? MC goes to srtictly controlled forest, where you need to book time beforehand and pay quite a fee, but couple chapters later he met a classmate in this forest, who "goes shopping and decided go to play here for a little by the way". So is it a controlled place or park with free entry??? And things like this is constantly found in the text. Something established can be twisted 180 degrees anytime.

Breaking the engagement is to dragged out. Apparently, engagement partner cheating with video proof was not enough? And it is not a world with forced matching, their families have equal status, MC himself as promising and rare mid-level mental power, he have a way higher status then his fiance. Author constatly remind us how privileged, cherished, thought after and indispensable mental powers is, but apparently they can't just say "i don't want this engagement, I feel neglected and this person only after my mental power"? It is not a world with discrimination against mental powers (quite opposite), MC does not want this, his family doesn't want this, so why they can't just breake it??? For some reason they acting like this is some ABO world with discrimination and forced matching, where they cannot say "no". His father even going out on a mission so not to be forced to speed up the marrige (like wtf???)
