[For unknown reasons, the two protagonists are entangled and quarreling. You stray into it, you take Xiao Shou away, and you send him home. When Xiao Gong thinks that you are a rival in love, he gets jealous and understands his feelings for Xiao Shou.]

Chu Qianze turned the pen in his hand in a circle and smashed it against the drum next to him, the loud drum sound resounding around him.

Facing the two people who looked over at him together, he pulled out a polite smile, which was very dazzling under the neon light.

“I’m sorry, you are ruining my eyes.”

Later:

[Xiao Gong bought you N rose bouquets!]

Feeling the gazes of the people around him, the flashing lights that flared from time to time, and a few gasps, Chu Qianze’s mouth twitched: “Is this a new way to surprise people?”

***

[Xiao Gong couldn’t stand the entanglement of Bamboo Horse, so he asked someone to come and play his lover. He wanted to make this childhood friend give up completely. According to their plan, the two would later act in a fake role. This task is very simple; you just need to express disbelief.]

Chu Qianze, who had just arrived in the world and was getting acquainted with his surroundings, was inexplicably pulled by a man and was held in his arms.

“I already have someone I like; it’s him!”

Chu Qianze looked at the person blankly, but saw that the other person turned his eyes away, his breath a little disordered.

“..?”

This novel left me with conflicting feelings. The first 3 arcs were very mediocre, even bad and it finally improved for the last 3 arcs. I would rate the first half only 2 stars and the last half 4 stars so average of 3. I almost dropped this novel after the 2nd arc.

There are 5 worlds and then 1 real-ish world.

1. Food anchor

... more>> 2. Butler and nobleman (vampire)

3. Writer and amnesiac boss

4. Holographic gaming- esports

5. Idol survival show

6. Play with in a play (real world)

I loved the MC. He is funny, confident, OP, and just all around fun character. The ML was very lacking in the whole novel, but even more so in the first 3 arcs. The system is barely in it and not annoying. No forced plots following, no evil system, just kind of a running joke. Also original should of each world really isn't in the arcs, so no face slapping in this novel. Most of the arcs are focused on the MCs career and very little on the romance. The first two arcs I was kind of confused about their relationship. I swear this novel almost reads like 2 authors worked on it. The holographic gaming and idol show arcs were my favorite, with the holographic one a little more interesting to me. The idol one went into a little too much depth of the songs and such for my taste. The ending was a tad predictable especially once the ML explained why he wanted MC for the movie. The last arc does wrap up the main storyline, but leaves some questions unanswered and no extras.

All in all I don't think I'm mad I read it, but I would not read again. The first three arcs are too messy and not fleshed out. I get QT arcs are usually basic, but this felt too basic, especially since romance is supposed to be a big part of the story. Thank you translator, I very much appreciate you!

Big spoiler of why they QT

Spoiler

the last world is 200 years in the future from MCs orginal time. He lived during a war with foreign insects?

This world the MC and ML are making a movie that is recreating their old life thus making the 2 remember their past.

MCs dad was a famous pastry chef and his mom a dancer. MC was originally a trainee at a prestigious entertainment company that only recruits geniuses when the solar system is invaded and he loses his parents. At age 16 he drops out and joins the army and rises through the ranks, but has lost a lot of comrades, so he is a little jaded.

ML joins as a new possible recruit to MCs squad, but ML is a rich kid who may have pulled strings to get assigned to MCs squad so MC doubles MLs training trying to get ML to flunk out or quit.

ML is obsessed with MC so he perseveres and finally becomes part of MCs squad. Then MCs second in command gets promoted so ML gets his job as MCs assistant basically. During this time ML takes care of everything for MC and feelings develop. Then MCs old second command and friend dies before he even got to get married and MC and ML really connect then, but it's also the start of MC going all out in the war.

MC died in the war killing the insect king in mutual destruction leaving behind ML. ML somehow gets attached to a system and makes a deal with the system to save MC and he will world hop and give him his energy, basically slowly killing himself. He refuses to do romantic plot lines and starts to loose his memories because of it. This is where MC enters and meets the world hoping ML. ML now completing romantic plot lines starts healing and remembers everything by the end.

a calm QT novel where there isn't much negative emotional drama or face-slapping

The MC is fun. Cheeky and kind and a rare seme protagonist

... more>> That being said, the second arc about nobleman vampire and the next amnesia are really weak. Honestly I'd recommend skipping those two arcs, not only is the plot dull but the romance is also the most weak. Especially in the vampire nobleman butler one.

If I look at the opening arc, then the virtual game, then Idol and then the final arc, the novel feels much stronger. That being said, there are some cute moments and MC being OP, and now knowing the actual story between MC and ML, I can see a few positives in those weak arcs too. I do wish we got some more depth from the MC during the story. Instead it's all concentrated in the last arc. So while reading, the QT worlds feel a bit shallow and you wonder about MC's motivations, but if there had been some more hints scattered throughout then, it would've been much more engaging.

so an above average QT novel on the calmer side with a weak first half but a strong finish <<less

As the first reviewer, I must state that this is a decent and enjoyable read. I read the raw, and the romance between the main couple was highlighted. Their interactions are just the appropriate amount for dog food and are not cheesy. There is very little face-slapping and dog blood. If you want to read a quick transmigration that solely focuses on the couple's romance, this is a good story to pass the time. Please take note that the story is decent and not overly fantastical, with the exception of... more>> the fantasy arc, where creatures like werewolves and vampires are definitely made-up. Please give this book an opportunity to be read; the original author and translator deserve our gratitude. Thank you for your hard work! Edited: Not every novel is perfect because this also have plot holes. To be honest.

To give you an idea of the roles.

You know the novel is good when you're too engrossed in reading and didn't expect that it was actually about to end.

Reading the early chapters, you might be wondering what does it have to do with the synopsis, right? Especially when it is not being showed in that arc. Well, don't worry, these are also included
Spoiler

on the 3rd and last arcs.

[collapse]

Still, the vibes in the synopsis does the justice for introducing us to MC's temperament while playing the roles.

Rather than the drama, this novel is more about the plot, action, and romance (and a little bit mystery to MC's origin). It's very refreshing to read because of him. He has his own pace, smart, awesome, and such an awful teaser. ML is also very hardworking, stubborn, fun (to be teased), and very active with regards to MC. I really like their relationship, they're such a dream couple. (*^ワ^*) After reading this, all I can say is that MC is really such a man among men. (シ_ _) シ

Hope this review encourages you to read this.

Also, I will thank the translator for introducing this work to us. I love it!

Not rating because I have complicated feelings.

The settings are fairly unique (at least so far). The author isn't going through the standard "Movie Emperor > Cultivation > Imperial Harem > ABO > Zombie Apocalypse > Rich People Drama > Campus > Military > etc." world-hopping checklist.

The relationship is.... eeh. It starts really cute at first, but the second and third arcs got me bored. Too much ML desperately chasing MC and MC evading ML. It feels like the moment MC reluctantly agrees to f*ck ML, we're off to a new... more>> arc. I wouldn't mind slow relationship progress, but this isn't progress because it gets reset every arc and MC acts like ML must do everything in his power to win MC's affection. It doesn't feel like it's a two-way relationship, but more like MC is a prize for ML to win. Despite liking him enough to have spent full lifetimes with him before. IDK, if it's just me, but it's hard to care about a relationship that MC doesn't even care about. Maybe it gets better later, but I won't find that out because I am done with this novel. <<less

(This is not a comprehensive review. I'm writing this only to keep a record of how many chapters I've read.)

This is a good one.

Reason?

 • The romance builds up slowly. At least in the 1st arc. Although the ML becomes interested from the beginning (interested, NOT in love)
 • The worlds are unique and not overly predicatble. There are certain cliches, but I found the settings to be quite refreshing.
 • It's one of the few novels I've read with a seme protagonist and unlike many others, the ML (uke/shou) isn't a male version of the damsel in distress. The leads seem like a power couple (To the extent that I get confused about who's the gong and who's the shou.)
 • It's fluffy!
I wanted to continue the MTL but it can be a... more>> bit exhausting at times. <<less

Before you read my review, it's better to skip mine and read Seafall review below bc I read this novel until completed thanks to them (Seafall).

You should already understand this but I am gonna said this.

The MC is the GONG and the ML is the SHOU.

... more>> ... tbh I am a seme or gong protagonist fans but the plot of this novel are so... bland. I honestly appreciate the author to "love" MC but why do I think this makes them (author) actually make ML character annoying?

I really can't stand some (not all) arc ML persona, this is really subjective but that tsundere/cold persona is not suitable with MC character in my opinion. Yes, MC can get what ML mean/trying to do with his IQ and EQ but it's only make me become annoyed with ML.

That amnesia ML arc one was such a turn off for me. And that idol arc is so boring that I didn't even completely read all the context.

While it's cute without any drama and angst, the potrayed innocent, gullible, cute, cold, hardworking ML is a no for me. It's not like I dislike these characteristics, I just don't like how author portrayed it in this novel (in some arc).

Switch to the MC. His character actually good, I like OP and "confident" MC so much. I just a bit uncomfortable with how he always tease and joking with ML before they got together. Making it longer for them to be together in relationship. Or you can say, too much s*xual tension but not piercing the last layer.

In online game ARC :

Spoiler

Tbh I don't like how author said "I love Brother Chu (MC) so I don't want him to feel wronged" then make ML kinda miserable bc of loses, even tho this "wronged" MC happens bc of some misunderstanding.

It's totally fine for MC to retaliate to ML but it's all annoying when author interject those words below the chapter. It feels like author supporting MC only, not ML.

[collapse]

Despite the complain on that ARC, online game arc is the third best because the emotional line is considered faster and straight to the point than other.

The first ARC with straight forward ML was a good start though, second best to the last arc.

The ending ARC is the best one in my opinion. So, the author really did a good job by arranging the best arc on the 1st and the last one:)

I can say this is 9/10 tho. I like light and sweet story w/o complicated and complex drama🌻 <<less

Edit: Why did people like this review

Anyway, I read this again and I didn't like it. I didn't know why I rated it 5 stars but I cannot get past of the arc 3. Because suddenly the ML is suffering from amnesia again. A well-made fast wear novel.

The novel is paced well, especially when it comes to timing.

The arcs really entertain you throughout the novel so you won't pour any effort to think of thoughts like, "why is he transmigrating?", "why he and the protagonist is a pair?", and etc.

Speaking of arcs, one of the best would be the first arc. It started the novel very well. One of my fave would also be the game arc.

Spoiler

Because that's like one of the arcs where they really have a goal to do. Most of the time, they just go with the flow when it comes to goals. It's a different level of intensity.

[collapse]

And I love the last chapters, it just made me bursting with emotions.
Spoiler

I actually laughed when Qianze (MC) called the master system, "big screen." (since his system is a small screen.)

[collapse]

And the ending is simply, *chef's kiss.* It's a happy ending where I'm very satisfied.

Honeymoon phase. ≫<

[collapse]

And I actually like mood and tone of the novel, it's giving me slice-of-life vibes. Qianze contributed the most to it, he always acts casual, relax, and doing what he want. He's definitely an OP character but how the Author wrote him doesn't make him OP to an exaggerated level. It was well-balanced.
Spoiler

And the male lead, Shen Hezhi. He's really cute. He's quite devoted to Qianze.

A love at first sight.

Wrapping up this novel, it's been an entire roller coaster ride.

To start with, this is a 1v1 novel with a HE. The MC is the gong while the ML is the shou.

Some arcs here are quite well done, and the ending arc wrapped up most loose ends. Such as a bit about the MC and MLs past, a bit about the system and a little bit more about basically everything else. But there are also, you could say 'terrible' arcs which lead to most of these reviews. And I'll be... more>> talking about it for the most part, all the arcs I mean. I normally wouldn't talk about the arcs in a review, but after reading through other peoples review, I still feel like I must write about it so future readers won't be deterred from reading this. Of course, this isn't a masterpiece or anything, but with the end, I still feel like this is a worthy read in my humble opinion.

Regarding the arcs; let's start off in an ascending order.

One more thing, when I say protagonist shou, I'm not talking about the ML.

Protagonist shou, ML and MC are all different people. Alright, let's continue.

First Arc: Online Food Anchor flirting with the CEO 1:

Spoiler

So this is one of the genuinely good arcs that I rate as the best arc out of all arcs here, if I were to rate it second place, then no other arc would dare to challenge for first, aside from the ending arc of course. The system isn't present at all even in this arc, mostly sent in a vacation by the MC starting from the very first chapter (if my memory serves me right). The romance between the MC and ML developed subtly, one of the most natural development among all the other arcs. Of course, fret not, other arcs also have stable romantic development.

One of the pros of this novel is the mouth watering food descriptions. It's not only the MC cooking and baking, ML also showcased his special culinary and baking skills. For those wanting to wet their appetite while reading, you can choose to read this first arc.

Now talking about the system plot of the novel, due to the MCs actions from the very beginning, the plot has entirely derailed. Don't worry though, it doesn't affect his missions in the slightest. As long as the tasks are completed, he's free. Now I'd like to talk a bit more but after reading over a hundred chapters, my memory is a bit foggy. So I could at most explain this much. Regarding the protagonist shou, a 'villain' of sorts in the first arc, he doesn't cause much trouble aside from igniting the romantic development between the MC and ML. He's a bit insane, teetering to yandere tendencies.

But he gets handled quite easily, I forgot about his ending, so he may not be too relevant. Now let's move on, my memory can't conjure up a lot about this first arc at the moment. All I remember is that it's one of the best arcs contrary to some others arcs.

[collapse]

Second Arc: Butler and His Nobleman 2:

Spoiler

I feel a bit complicated about this arc. When the author transitioned from the first arc to this arc, it felt a bit abrupt. And after carefully looking over at the end of the first arc, I concluded that the MC spent the remaining rest of his days in the first arc and should have displayed some sentimental emotions at least. But no, he moved on to quickly, with no other character developments. I think there are some, but I probably didn't notice due to the shock of the sudden abruptness of the transition between the arcs.

I wouldn't say this is the worst arc, but I wouldn't dare say it's any good. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, but I would probably rate this compared to the other arcs, at least second-best among with everything else considered. The romance here feels a bit forced, and the MC doesn't seem to care about the ML at all, which is natural, considering he still doesn't know he is the ML. But then the romance and dog food between them happened, and... as far as my memory serves me, I remember being choked about the romance. Which feels as abrupt and forced as the transition between the first to second arc.

The system plot is also a bit, you could say, a bit much? It's hard to describe my feelings towards this arc.

But this is basically the first hurdle the reader must pass in order to truly harvest the vast improvement of the authors skills in later arcs. To talk about the pros of this arc, it's the uniqueness of it. As a single trope, it's nothing worth talking about. However, compared to the usual routine of quick transmigration, it's a bit refreshing for a change of pace. Not just that, the MC can even transform into a fluffy little wolf cub. Though, that happens much later. Well, I can't say he willfully transformed into a wolf cub, it's just the original body's original form since he's a 'juvenile' or a recently awakened wolf in that arc. And to clear your confusion while you're reading this... The MC is a werewolf while the ML is a vampire.

Aside from its uniqueness, its pro also lands on the action scenes, full of fighting, guns and all that. Though not much, provided an entertaining read. I quite liked it, which is why I endured through. There's also the subplot regarding the history of werewolves and vampires. As well as the two different vampire factions. One is a 'good' faction, which protests against treating every living creature as food. And a 'bad' faction, which treats all other living creatures aside from themselves as food.

It's a bit interesting, so I read through that. But now let's move onto the next arc, before I spoil you people any further.

[collapse]

Third Arc: Writer and Amnesiac Boss 3:

Spoiler

Now with this arc, I would rate it as the worst arc of all arcs. Many readers dropped the novel at around this point. Mainly due to the overuse of the amnesia trope. The author used it twice here, leading to the frustration of many readers. This is the second and last hurdle that a lot of readers must endure through to finally experience the authors improving writing skills.

The romance here starts off somewhat fast, but it's one sided on MLs side. And the protagonist shou is a bit annoying, he's romantically interested in the MC but also a bit vulgar as he plays with other peoples feelings. But enough about him, let's talk about the MC and ML.

So, the MC here, took care of the ML during his amnesia, letting their feelings slowly develop. Though he appears mostly platonic to the ML due to the caution of mistaking the wrong person. He knows the ML is the protagonist gong in the previous two worlds, so the protagonist gong in this arc should likely be the same person, the ML. But he's still cautious, only developing a friendly relationship with the ML, I believe. But things took a turn, he slowly developed some fondness for the ML. I think. Like he went temporarily crazy and intimidated the people chasing the ML. (for context, the people chasing after the ML finally found him, but ML has amnesia and they don't know. Then while they almost fought (?), the MC rushed out and protected the ML. My memory here is a bit vague, so don't trust my interpretation too much, just take in what happened between the two.)

Anyway, after that, the ML left and he regained his previous memories but completely forgot about the encounter with our MC. Mainly because his old man deceived him, telling a false account of what happened to him. I'm not sure if the old man is his father or grandfather. I forgot, or it just wasn't stated. The ML is naturally suspicious, but he couldn't find any leads.

The meet up later after the MC's novel became famous and got a contract with a television and show company. One thing led to another, they grew close and the MC found out the ML lost his memory, though he didn't plan to reveal it just yet. Only when the ML realised something off and questioned the MC, did MC admit it. It was mostly the ML doing the effort to recover his memories with a small ulterior motive, to be closer the MC, because the MC is also a bit distant in this arc.

The romance between the two during both amnesias feel a bit abrupt and rushed, though personally, it's much better than the previous arc. The only downside in this arc is the double use of the amnesia plot, which frustrated a lot of readers, including me when I almost dropped it when I just started it a little over three days ago. But it's actually not that bad of an arc if you ignore the amnesia plot. The MC has a successful and thriving career as a writer, the side-characters have plenty of screen time or should I say 'read time'? And they're all entertaining to read.

The later romance between the two is also very pleasant, relieving me a lot of pressure after the amnesia thing was settled and the ML recovered most of his memories until everything became in tact. This is a turning point in the entire novel, where the authors skill visibly improved. Though, not immediately. But the next arc definitely felt pleasant enough compared to the other two arcs. Not the best, at least around mediocre level (edit: or at best, above average, personally I feel that it's around above average), but it improved from that point on. Until it gave us late and complete readers great satisfaction.

Perhaps I'm an easily reconciled type of reader when I see an author visibly improve, so I kept a positive attitude towards the later arcs. Maybe that is the reason why they felt better to me, cause other readers didn't seem satisfied with them. But as a reader who enjoys reading novels from authors and see their improvement over time, I took pleasure in it. I'm not the type of reader who prefers consistent excellent writing from other authors, I usually give them a chance. But, moving back to the topic about the novel, let's head to the fourth arc.

[collapse]

Fourth Arc: Online Game: Needlepoint Confrontation 4:

Spoiler

This is undoubtedly the starting point of later on better or even great arcs. It started off a little mediocre, with an initial rivals/enemies type of relationship between the MC and ML. To clarify, the ML defeated a boss in a holographic vr game and was about to reap his rewards. But the MC accidentally landed on seen while trying to fly (i think?), and accidentally killed the boss who was on its remaining legs. He took the first kill, making MLs efforts go down in the drain, and reaping the rewards that originally should belong to the ML (Edit: as a gamer whos often bullied by the bigshots of a game, I relate to this SOO hard. Steal kills are painful, I hate players who do that QAQ[especially when they do it intentionally]. I can't even do anything about it because they're also much more stronger than me...).

So the ML disliked him at first, but later on as they encounter each other more, especially with the marriage special subplot mission in the arc, binding him with the MC, he slowly grew closer and more attracted to the MC. But he didn't make many moves because the MC stated that he already has beloved (The MC said that because he initially didn't believe the ML is the ML because this arc has a lot of protagonist gongs, though only two interacted with the MC. The ML, and his friend. As for the protagonist shou, he's likable this time, the lover of the second protagonist gong and didn't cheat or anything at all. Just a quiet side character who's rather likable.), which ended with him mainly being a friend of the MC. Yep, pretty much friend-zoned. But not the frustrating kind. After the MC and ML slowly grew closer and closer in the arc, ML soon confessed under drunk courage (to clarify, it's not an accidental confession. He soberly intended to confess to the MC but he didn't feel very brave, so he drank gulps of alcohol so he can directly face the MC.)

After the confession, the MC accepted it. (to clarify again, the MC in most of all the arcs already had a certain idea about the ML later on, and as stated in the later arcs, he clarified that he enjoyed teasing the ML and waited for him to confess first.) Which lead to them teaming up and overpowering a lot of other players during an upcoming esports competition. The MC isn't really interested in the competition, but seeing that the ML looks so excited and interested in it, he eventually relented though resisting at first (occured after the confession I think?). The ML in this arc is particularly adorable, always seeking affection and a date from the MC. So when accidents happen, he isn't the happiest about it. And when he got injured from some car and motorcycle accident (i think?), he hid the fact that he got injured so he can quickly recover and resume the date with the MC. But MC then found out and scolded him a little about it.

Their romance here feels the most natural, you could even say it even defeated the romantic development between the MC and ML in the first arc. Personally, this arcs romantic development could rival the first arc. But it can never defeat the first arcs delicious, mouth watering food descriptions... And it has a few plotholes, like why is the MC's original owner body laid off but still so rich as to making MC not worry about money and lived without a job and just playing around in the vr game? Perhaps I missed something, or not. So this arc had to sadly land on at best, fourth place. Being the fourth arc and also being fourth place in my ranking? Coincidental, isn't it? Hahaha, but anyways, moving on. Let's head to the next part of the ride, the fifth arc.

[collapse]

Fifth Arc: Idol Talent Show 5:

Spoiler

This, personally, I would rate as third-best arc. I absolutely love it. Just below the first and last arc. The romance between the MC and ML naturally developed. Well, on MLs side of course. The MC is rather casual about everything. Theres also this funny plot point where the system directly transferred him into this world without asking him (mainly because thats how the MC behaved, directly asking the system to transfer him without any breaks), but the MC unexpectedly wanted to take a break. However, it's a bit too late, he's already in the world. It was a funny segment.

I really like this novel, the side characters here are even more lovable than the third arc. I love MC and MLs roommates, I even ship Hong and YL together a bit. Though, their romantic life isn't really stated (i think?), probably just a friendly duo with a platonic relationship. Which I don't mind, it's just a pity. But I feel satisfied with them, they're a lively duo and I love them. Especially YL, he's cute. Sad that he doesn't get too much screen time. I mean he's there, but his presence isn't very strong. Hong's presence is very strong however, and very lively.

Aside from that, the protagonist shou is also lovable. He isn't bad, he's rather diligent. He's a lot more likable and present than all the other protagonist shous. Among all protagonist shous, hes the one with the most screen time (I think? Just rivalling the first arc shou, but I'm not too sure), and the most likable, directly in the first place.

There's some annoying characters in this arc, like Leng something? Leng Jing? Not sure, my memory is a bit vague. He's basically a part of the reason for the MC almost being r*ped. (Nothing happened, the ML rescued him. And even if ML didn't make it, MC had back up plans due to being a bit resentful to the culprit.) He isn't the one directly making a move on the MC, instead, he's more jealous and hateful of the MC. He's just acquainted and possibly the one who informed the Yan guy, I forgot his name (he's the guy that wanted to r*pe the MC), about the MC. And make him interested in the MC. My memory on this part is vague, mostly filled with disgust at their actions so I can't properly remember.

But anywho, this is actually one of the most detailed arc of all the arcs. I like it, it even has the potential to be an individual novel, if the author developed the plot further from the "Debut, Trainee!" (?) show. But anyway, I like it, and it's one of the best arcs. Actually, I would even dare to directly say it's better than the first and last arc. The only thing bothering me is the abrupt ending of the arc (but it's not really abrupt). To clarify, I just feel so immersed in the arc that I wanna see more idol projects happening between the MC and ML after the "Debut, Trainee!" (?) show, instead of just vague words. It's so detailed and well done that it could pass for another novel, instead of a QT arc. But since it is a QT arc, it had to end rather abruptly. Though compared to the suddenness of other certain arcs, it's not that bad, it at least has an ending. (Ahem- as for certain arcs...I'm talking about the second arc... it started and ended abruptly, leaving me a bit dissatisfied. But it's just a personal bias, you don't have to bother too much about it)

Anywho, I love this arc. I'm sure you'd love it too, especially when you just read an arc with double amnesia plot... (I'm still not finished settling the score with the author about that. That was one of the toughest hurdles I experienced when reading novels, I'm glad I didn't drop this novel unlike the other times I did back then. Looks like my endurance is through the roof, I haven't dropped any novels so far.) Alright, moving on~

Sixth Arc: Play within a Play 6:

Spoiler

The last of all arcs. Directly rivalling the first and fifth arc even with its shortness (Edit: Actually, it's not that short at all! The chapters are short, but quality versus quantity, the word count in certain chapters of this novel is insane), like gold or jade among piles of silver ingots (I prefer silver things but you get what I mean). This explained MC and MLs past. Ahem spoiler- oh wait no. Everything here is already a spoiler, it's even in a spoiler tag, so I'll just say it. They're sort of reunited lovers~ though their relationship in their first life looks rather ambiguous and ended after MCs death, the ML does have deep feelings for the MC. The MC didn't know it, or rather he forgot about it because he lost majority of his memories from the start of the transmigration. This arc also talked a lot about the MCs fondness for sweets, and MLs unique flavor when baking sweets. Which is a simple explanation of his skills becoming so good that his emotion left its trace there, where only the designated person can taste it.

It explained a lot of sweet and light hearted moments between the MC and ML in their past, as well as their comrades who died. The sweet atmosphere became somber at the end, when MCs only closest friend died, along with many of his brothers. Though he saved the world from foreign invaders, he died in battle simultaneously.

The main focus is that it talked a lot about the MC and MLs past. From start to present. The MC felt rather nostalgic after his initial resistance to learn about his past. But then he moved on and spent his honeymoon with the ML. While the ML also recovered his memories after acting with the MC. Though I said just a few, there's actually a lot packed in the last arc. I won't elaborate too much because I want the other readers to be more curious, and read this novel. Their past is really interesting, and the ending felt rather satisfying. At least in my opinion. I loved the unravelling about their past and all, as well as the astonishing word count and the improvement of the authors skills. This arc is mainly to cover up all loose ends, the MCs and MLs past, as well as why the MC is so mary sue, haha. This is all, the wrap up in all arcs.

The ending is well done, wishing you a happy honeymoon, Chu Qianze and Shen Hezhi/Zhoufeng. I love you two~ I wish you all the best~ auntiesmile. jpg hehe.

Now that we're done with the arcs, let's talk a bit about the MC and ML. For the ML, I really like him. He's really cute in a lot of the arcs, or maybe thats just me. He's the first to confess and fall in love, and he's always the one who makes the first move, which I like in characters (though I prefer having the MC, regardless if shou or gong, pursue first).

His love in the real world (or should I say their past?), is real and sincere. This is one of the first time where I like the ML more than the MC I guess. The MC just feels a bit too indifferent sometimes, which makes me sometimes frustrated, though it toned down a lot later on. The ML has somewhat differing personalities in most of the arcs, though also very similar in a lot of the arcs. He has a rather pitiful past, regarding MC's and his past life. He loves the MC but the MC died in battle.

His side of the story is probably the most tragic, signing a deal with the system so he can earn the ability to revive the MC. And he even had a conflict with the system which lead to his memory loss in each world. And before he even met the MC, he lead a solitary life, focusing on career and not in love since MC wasn't there. Only when MC appeared before him, though ML lost his memories, did he finally engage in romance.

Perhaps I should've added a spoiler tag to this, but since we're talking about their characters, spoilers are inevitable.

Speaking of the ML makes me feel a bit sad, wondering how the novel would go if written in his perspective.

But, any who, let's move onto the MC. I feel like I inherited the novels abruptness a bit, haha.

The MC is a rather gary stu type of guy. With skills ranging from cooking and baking, to fighting and guns, and to writing, singing then dancing. His writing skill is explainable as a person who experienced a lot about life, but as for the others... they were only explained at the end of the arc. And its about his character background, which felt very understandable, justifying his gary stu'ness. The explanation is reasonable too.

And he's a very carefree type of guy, who's the complete antonym of the word 'put together' type of guy. Very unrestrained and has bit of a bad taste. At the end of the arc, he directly admitted that he purposefully made the ML confess first after making sure he's the ML in a lot of the arcs. Not sure when it started, but it at least started around the fourth arc if not the third arc or less.

He's, I have to admit, a bit of a cool MC compared to most others. But I still stand by what I said when I prefer the ML over the MC. The MCs bad taste of not taking the initiative unless his prey fell into his trap is not exactly my preference. But overall, I quite like him. And to add, he's rather human. He can still be vulnerable despite his casual and indifferent demeanor. He even shows his true feelings and emotions to the ML in the last arc, I believe. About their past and all that. Nevertheless, I still have some grudge for him wronging and teasing the ML in a lot of the arcs, making the ML have to chase after him while he remains calm and cool, so my favourability towards him is just right below the ML. However, he's really quite interesting as an MC, and he's not all that indifferent honestly. My opinion is purely biased, you don't have to mind it.

Alright, so I talked about the MC and ML a lot, especially the other arcs, I'll give a brief conclusion. Well actually, I'd also like to talk about the side characters and 'villains' but honestly? My fingers hurt at this point-

To get started, I warmly recommend you this novel. I know it's hard to read, with the second and third arc being infuriating hurdles to get through (evidence by the many reviews of readers quitting around 30~50 chapters[which is right around the second and third arc]), but I honestly believe you should give this a shot, if you have nothing else to read.

The authors skill visibly improves by the fourth, fifth, and sixth arc. The first arc being good is a given, only two arcs are relatively 'terrible'. But actually, the second arc is not too bad. Tolerable, just rushed. While the third arc only has the annoying double amnesia subplot. But its still tolerable, and it had other interesting aspects. Such as the television and shows company, MCs novel, and then the side characters. Like the director and all that.

So honestly, my overall rating of this novel is a 4/5. The background of the novel and the pitiful past between MC and ML (pitiful because MC lost a lot of his comrades and closest friend, losing his life in battle as well, probably already tired of his life. While the ML lost the only person he loves in the whole world, the only person who gave his life some meaning, and probably more reasons I can't comprehend. As a romanticist[or a cruder term; hopeless romantic], I can understand his desperation for sealing a deal with the system even if he's trapped/tricked by it initially. If the person I love also died, and lead a miserable life in battle, I would also seal a deal with the system just to make them recover and live a better life.), makes me tempted to rate this a higher rating, my maternal love is kicking in, haha.

But the MC and ML seemed to have move on, while I still haven't moved on from the annoying hurdle that is the third arc... so I'll keep it fair and square, giving this novel a 4/5. Not one star more and not one star less.

Oh and translator-kun... thank you very much for introducing this novel to all of us! Though, you could work a bit more on correcting some spelling mistakes as well as grammar. Nevertheless, the novel is readable and comprehensible! Especially at the initial parts. It just got a bit wonky later on. <<less

To be honest this was okay, but abit boring to my taste.

Basically MC is gong and he somehow turned the Protagonist Gong into the Shou and made him his lover and they have a good thing going in every world after being reunited.

Lack of face slaps, not much plot. Just them romancing each other in different roles, rinse and repeat.

It's not overly complicated so read it if you want some mild transmigration romance between MC Gong and Gong turned shou ML.

I enjoy this QT novel. The arcs are interesting because MC is so interesting in how he approaches everything. The way the story started and how MC just smoothly travels from world to world without much explanation makes me curious but also it still feels complete. I enjoy how MC is so smart and chill. He's able to adhere to his tasks 100% while detailing the plot completely. I'm disappointed that there are so few arcs tho. Another review said that it feels like a slice of life story and... more>> I agree.

Just a note but this is one of the very few QT stories with a gong MC

Spoiler

I've noticed they the original protagonist for the different worlds end up attracted/pursuing MC. The different arcs include:

1. MC is a food anchor and the ML is a ceo of that anchor company.

2. This is a werewolf/vampire setting. Pretty interesting. MC appears as a personal butler for ML who is a pure blood vampire. MC happens to be a hidden lord werewolf.
3. MC is an online novelist. ML has amnesia at various points in the story and he appears to be the head of a wealthy conglomerate (?? As of cb 50 at least). What's interesting is that ML's personality keeps shifting with his memories.

I must admit that after reading some of the reviews I was somewhat dissuaded from reading this. I'm extremely glad that I pushed through though, because this might have ended up being one of my favorite QT BLs.

My favorite arcs were the idol and gaming arcs for sure. The idol arc closely mirrored the Idol Producer show, and as an ardent fan of one of the seasons who closely followed the show and one of the main CPs on that show, I had great affection for that setting. As in... more>> some of the reviews, I agree that the 2nd and 3rd arcs were probably the worst of the novel, but I didn't feel like they were as damning as some of the reviews claimed. Even as an amnesia hater, the double amnesia was frustrating for sure but not terrible compared to the amnesia in some other works. I'm not sure if that's because I had been fully prepared for something terrible from other reviews and had low expectations that were over fulfilled or what. Overall while those arcs were definitely less enjoyable than the later ones, they weren't that bad. The 2nd arc in QTs often struggle in similar situations due to the MCs figuring out whether the MLs are the same as in the first world so I'm not judging too much.

The story is definitely somewhat more plot focused than romance focused since the MC rarely makes the first move. I find this somewhat understandable since the MC is waiting for the ML to clearly figure out his own feelings, but yeah he also has that playful inclination. The MC is extremely OP, which is very satisfying. Much of the story is carried by the charisma of the MC's carefree and chill personality, something I really enjoyed. The ML was also super cute in all of the arcs, and despite the MC not taking the initiative, he proves to be gentle even before the confession and affectionate after the confession. The gentleness is particularly clear in the last 3 arcs.

Fully enjoyed this. The writing and translation were great too. Overall a wonderful experience. <<less

Just thoughts while reading:

Online food anchor 2.75 stars

Oh no, the cringe is strong with one.

Spoiler

Zhong Mu knows that Yun Zhoujie is the president of the company, yet he feels that he can speak to him anyway he wants? Smh

Chotto, chotto matte. No sorta buildup, just eat, be my boyfriend, and start making out to the point of wanting to have s*x, then there in love?! We know they spent a bit of time together, but author didn't convey any sort of emotional bonding. Seems like they're only together just for plot. I literally went back through the chapter thinking that I missed something.

Still don't really know what kind of person MC is. Story he told ML is about his host and it clearly happened way before he transmigrated, so why take it so personally? How long did he stay in this world, till death? What was the goal of his QT? So many questions, no answers at all

[collapse]

Pretty meh compared to other QT's. Still don't have a sense just who the MC is as a person

Butler and his nobleman 2 stars

No thoughts at all about the previous world and whether it affected him or no. Perhaps author decided to mention this later down? Guess those who've continued on will know. Smh

Ah, one of the misunderstanding tropes that I cannot stand: ML thinks MC is in love with him, therefore everything MC does confirms these feelings in the eyes of MC. Sigh.

Vampires with supernatural abilities and werewolves... This should be exciting, but its just badly written. I don't know if it's the way it was written, or because of the TL, but things are just too jumbled up. I having trouble trying to clearly imagine what this world is supposed to look like.

I may come back to this later, but if have to leave it for now <<less

It can be a little disorienting at first, because unlike a lot of other world-hopping novels, it doesn't give you any backstory or much foreshadowing until late into the novel. Even then, the hints mainly fall together at the last arc, in which you can pretty much guess the backstory as it goes.

Actual rating: 4.5

I really liked this novel because it's a breather from others of its genre. There's no big revenge line, so you don't get a lot of pesky villains- just a couple annoying ones. The arcs read... more>> almost like independent novels, and the plots are generally mild and quick. There's no huge emotional revelation, but I really enjoyed how normal the characters were- no need to destroy people, cute interactions with side characters, generally warm relationship. The last arc was both a little long and a little quick- there's extensive detail but also wraps up pretty quickly. But you get pretty much everything wrapped up here. There's a lot of potential to be dramatic, but the author skips all of that. The half star off is because I felt that the novel could've been better connected if there were better transitions as the worlds ended- it was a little abrupt. Overall, worth the read- try to stick to the end, there is a real story tying it all together! <<less

I didn’t expect that MC is actually the gong and ML is the shou

[collapse]

There were missing points in Arc 1 that felt off or didn’t make sense but I really liked the MC/ML pair on this Arc so I just ignore those plot holes, it’s a pity tho that Arc 1 ending was unsatisfying

As for the next arcs, these are the ones that made my rating lower

It’s because there isn’t really much chemistry between MC and ML, everything just swoosh happens and every arc ends abruptly (or unsatisfyingly)

Anyhooo, I think it’s good to read if you want to pass the time but every arc feels similar, just different setting <<less

It’s really good story. I like their dynamic and every arc is enjoyable. I just teared up a little near the end because MC is someone who held everything inside and acted casual. He only showed his vulnerability to the ML but it was just one time.

All in all.. It’s a good read. Thanks to the translator for translating this!

It's very good... jk lol, it was okay at the beginning first arc was good but the ending not soo much, it just left me hanging, second arc I don't know why I just couldn't find the feelings for it, it felt forced I couldn't feel the chemistry between them, but it was manageable too, the ending was the same as the first one it left me hanging too but at least we got a few more sentence from the MC about his long stay there apart from that nothing... more>> else was explained, I don't wanna make this long so I'll just be precise, it's boring and cliche, the only turning point is that the MC is the gong/seme but apart from that it's just your average cliche novels, at least it helped me kill some time before I was too bored and annoyed to continue so thank you, I'll stop here... bye ~ <<less

I love this! I love the dynamics between the couple and how the relationship in all the arcs so far continues to be equitable, sweet, well-developed, and quite realistic! Looking forward to the update. Also, our protagonist is so badass, haha! I was so surprised in the second arc when he

It's my first time reading world hopping with seme MC. I loved the story! I loved MC and ML! The MC is OP for a reason and it gets explained near the ending, however you'd have to be patient. I just wish they will always be together and happy! Worth rereading! Thank you for the translation!

Spoiler

Seeing the ending with a little glimpse of MC and ML's past was heart-wrenching. It shows the brutal reality of military during war.
