Lin Xiajin woke up in the female dormitory and found that it was still dark outside, and her phone had no signal. The once lively university campus had turned into a paradise for zombies, with occasional eerie roars and screams.

Lin Xiajin, who had no time to escape, discovered that she was pregnant!

Watching her belly grow bigger and bigger, she paid attention to prenatal education, nutrition, and made sure to have plenty of toys.

While others killed zombies to seize food, Lin Xiajin killed them to hoard toys and baby supplies, including diapers!

But suddenly, a man appeared and wanted to be with her?! She initially thought he wanted to compete for resources!

To her surprise, he told her that those resources were prepared for their child!

Lin Xiajin looked at the serious and handsome face and said, “I treated you as a teammate, but you see me as your wife??”

The story is good and in a way it has logic in its plot twists.
What I didn't like is that everything was so rushed at times.

I liked everything in the first part when they were killing zombies, but then when they came out with the interstellar it seemed to me that the author wanted to cover too much and that's why I felt that the plot was not as fluid as it should be and also the characters became too flat from that moment on.

I wouldn't read it again but the story itself isn't bad, so just because I liked the first half. I'll give it a 4/5.

PLOT ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I mean, for a zombie story, this novel has a pretty solid story structure and is somehow still within logic. Sure there is plot twists about the zombie apocalypse, but all were delivered by the author decently without too many plot holes or jumping conclusions. (On side note, the author wrote another book before this, with almost the same plot but with immature ideas. This novel is maybe what the author wanted to deliver to readers before but not yet done)

Spoiler

The plot will later change to an interstellar theme. Turn out some aliens release zombie virus, to farm zombie crystal on FL's planet. And the rest of the humans were captured to be ens*aved by aliens including FL and the gang. And then FL+ML will try to get away from ens*avement, find their friends, and struggle to get their planet to be ranked in the galaxy. Even after they finally succeed and can return to their original planet, the galaxy is somehow on the brink of destruction few years later, and FL has to save the day.

CHARACTER ⭐⭐⭐

I do not really like the charas, because:

  1. Mary Sue FL with super OP ability, can do everything, so OP makes the rest of her crew like useless drag to her.
  2. Gary Sue ML also with super OP ability, with the generic setting of "cold, only see FL as human but the rest is tr*sh attitude"
  3. The rest of the charas are very 1 sided either black (FL's enemies) or white color (with FL's side). Okay I am being harsh here, but I seriously did not see any significant chara's growth.
  4. Also, IDK why or maybe it is just my opinion, but most of passersby NPCs have the same mode settings (judgmental, entitled, and selfish). Seriously, all of them mostly have the same tone of expression, no difference between each other.
OVERALL ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I do enjoy reading this. There is no heart-wrenching plot or unnecessary misunderstanding filler, but also has no comedy moment or too mushy romance. <<less

I really like this novel, it just took me a bit of time to connect with the characters.

I like the apocalypse genre and this novel is one of my favorites so far. It's really an easy and interesting read. So far, the baby is not born yet but I'm looking forward to when that happens.
