- I liked how the irrationality in both Young-hyun's and Dae-han's thoughts made sense for the characters.

- I like how Young-hyun and Dae-han grew in their own ways.

- I love that Young-hyun and Dae-han weren't overly shy about intimacy when they're alone together! For a lot of romance web novels, literal adult characters flinch at the thought of holding hands or kissing their partner, which is a trope I hate. It makes sense if the story has h*mophobia or if the couple needs to keep their relationship secret, but it's really annoying to read couples who overreact when flirting with their partner.
Stuff I disliked:They are both highschoolers with zero experience with dating and relationships. At first, I didn't like the constant insecurities they keep dealing with, however once I completed the story I think it makes sense with a lot of first loves, especially for relationships that start in high school. I still remember high school classmates getting into relationship; they were hella messy.
Young-hyun learned to speak up more at home against his piece-of-sh*t older brother, while Dae-han got better at studying (even though he kinda overdid it in the story lmao)
- I hated, hated, HATED Young-han, Young-hyun's older brother.

- I did mention I liked the irrationality depicted in Young-hyun's and Dae-han's thoughts, but I'm not gonna lie, it felt like a drag after

I'm grateful for Spring Of Romance translating this web novel! If you're looking for low stakes, a realistic depiction of a high school first love, and a couple not ashamed of intimacy during their private moments together, you'll enjoy this! I might read this web novel again when I feel the urge to :)I don't know if Young-han being a perpetual as*hole was for comedic effect, but I kept waiting for the part where he leaves the family for good or he passes away in an accident. If you remove the h*mophobia in the story, he is quite literally the Number 1 source of evil in Young-hyun's life. I'm just gonna headcanon in my head that he eventually leaves Young-hyun alone when Young-hyun goes to university with Dae-han.
the beach chapter where they argued about Dae-han going to a motel. I wish the misunderstanding and miscommunication was a bit shorter; it felt repetitive hearing the insecurities in Young-hyun's thoughts and seeing the immaturity in Dae-han's lack of communication. Again, these are highschoolers with zero experience in dating and relationships, but god that arc was a boring reading experience if you take out that factor.
