Young-hyun, who was in school, suffered from the heat and had to leave early.

He runs across Dae-han, a well-known bully in the alley on his way home. Young-hyun, who is afraid of him, attempts to walk pass him as if he isn’t there.

However, Dae-han suddenly calls Yeong-hyun’s name and asks a lot of questions, then grabs Young-hyun’s wrist and heading to the cafe.

Young-hyun, who usually had no contact with the bully is uncomfortable spending time with him. He then gives him money because he thinks that Dae-han brought him to take money from him, but Dae-han said some absurd things…?

Tbh the story is pretty slow in the beginning but by chapter 9 the relationship starts to develop and you can appreciate the character's personalities and how much they differ. They're both cute characters once you get to know them. I look forward to the new releases, I can't get enough!

The translations are great and they update regularly every 3-4 days!!

The writing is very simple, I think the MC is also very plain and cliché (timid and nerdy guy, that don't like PE), but is a first love novel, so I think it's okay to be like this.

If you're searching for a simple love story, that tells about two boys with different personalities, where one proves to be willing to do anything to get with the MC, you should read this novel.

The story of two high school boys, awkward each in their own way, fumbling their way through their first relationship making clumsy efforts to express their feelings and giving it their all. You can feel all flavors of tension in every interaction, including how the MC interacts with his brother. It kept me reading for hours only interrupted by sleep despite being slice of life where not much usually happens. Every scene is so vivid and detailed that you can almost picture it as if you're watching it happen. That... more>> includes the smut, it's not your typical "overbearing drill vs shy dead fish", you can see both parties vividly enjoying it in interesting ways. They both seek physical and mental intimacy with each other in all kinds of small and big ways.

Editing review after finishing the novel:

The last extra is a bit weird, the constant switching of POV gets really confusing. It's the actual "end" (the first end leaves a lot unsaid) so that combined with the abrupt end and quite a few details I wanted to see better explored made the ending unsatisfying. I will not change my rating because the journey, for me, was absolutely delightful. The plot is simple and the writing style may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really connected with this novel and got s**ked into its vivid and detailed, almost photorealistic, world. <<less

I love this novel so much! It is a slow-burn romance, but definitely worth it.

I like both MC and ML, and their relationship which is cute but also realistic. I also like the smut, it is hot and spicy and definitely surprising.

There are a few dramatic moments (or misunderstandings) but they are resolved fairly quickly.

As for the language, it is rather simple, to the point.

I usually wait for a couple of chapters to read at once hehehehe.

Loved it so much. Books like this are so difficult to get these days.

I like the plot, the love story, the way the book progresses... Everything. I'm not just any other crazy reviewer, infact I'm stingy with my stars. If you're looking for a sign to read the novel, trust this review

Such a good novel, I’m really enjoying it so far. MC and ML are so devoted and the development of their relationship is so authentic. I like how their insecurities are explored and resolved. The translation is good too.

Amazing novel. The pace is very good and the development of feelings makes sense. This made me feel the chemistry of the main couple. The novel is very realistic and the personality of both main characters are what teens should be like.... Every awkward, tense, embarrassing and lovely moment felt organic. This is one of the best novels of this kind that I've read, definitely in my top 3.

As someone who keeps looking for calm, serene story, no s*upid angst, no useless drama, over powered MC and ML This is a rare gem tbh.

I made an account just to write a review, I’m really irritated by how MC is always so insecure and as a result is always making ML chase after him and apologize for no reason. I imagine that it would be very exhausting to be in a relationship with someone like that and I just don’t like how ML is always treating MC well but MC is so insecure that he gets upset over little things. This is really good! This was my first Korean BL (vs mostly Chinese). I was actually impressed with how mutually spicy it was without being ridiculous - super props to the translator.

As a huge fan of existential Korean cinema (but angst-free BL), I was super worried that one of the leads was going to die LOL. There was a part that got me a little misty eyed - but had a lot of emotional impact. I had to reflect on being a teenager (so long ago) and how emotionally BIG... more>> everything feels without the context of lived experience. Particularly with the stress of family and of a non-traditional lifestyle. I was not expecting to have deep thoughts reading a webnovel...

I recommend giving this a read. Even the extras didn’t break character for fan service. <<less

First love & all of its awkward moments... along with 80% of the novel being smothered with kisses.

This novel was a cute read. I didn't really expect much tbh. I don't read a lot of Korean BL novels, but this was a pleasant surprise. At least the smut was a great bonus imo. The novel guides us through the very awkward forming of a relationship between MC, a timid shy cutie & ML, an infamous bad boy. The latter is painfully oblivious & new at wooing people, so it's a... more>> rough start for the two of them. There's rocky miscommunication, petty fights, frustrating cycles of doubt & wavering feelings. It's messy. It's not paced very well. I don't think the plot's the greatest, but it's not that bad either. The spice does make up for the pitfalls, so thank you brain for succumbing to saucy parts.

I don't believe the five star reviews. I feel that they're very sugarcoated & exaggerated. However, I can't deny personal enjoyment. To each their own. This novel is alright <<less

Not used to 1) first person POV 2) Korean novels. Tbh thought it was ABO because I saw “heat” in the description haha.

It’s a sweet first love young schoolboys novel that reads like a diary because of the first person POV. It’s cute but not really my thing. Also struggled to understand 30% of the time because of the way it’s written, for example no clear attribution of speech (who’s talking??), and even actions sometimes, which would be fine if there’s a stronger tone of voice but not really. A... more>> bit sad because I couldn’t properly understand MC/ML’s reactions, which to me is the key part of these kind of cute first love novels—the emotions and interactions. <<less

One thing about Korean romance or any genre is that they're are never afraid of writing the awkward phases in relationships, be it friendships of romantic interests. They will write it and write it in detail enough to make you slightly uncomfortable and restless until you start understanding it.

This happens in this novel too. It's very awkward (not the writing but their relationship as they start as basically strangers) up to chapter 7 or 8 but the chapters are not long and one review mentioned it so I was prepared.... more>> After that it's actually very intresting and fun to read.

I'll complete the review once I'm done. For now who are interested don't need to think too much and read it. <<less

I loved it!!!! yes, it is kinda true that at first it stars as boring and sometimes translation is a bit lost, but as the plot develops this stops being an issue and idk, it becomes so so so fluffy!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely one of all time fav.

I loved this novel! ML’s love is so pure that it makes me want to cry. I really liked that they talked when there was a problem. They are both new to relationship so they both made mistakes but it was refreshing to see them talk it out and figure things out.

I also loved the interaction between MC’s brother and ML’s little brother at the end lol
