While the translation was very good, I found the FL and ML to be very uninspiring characters. The plot in theory was really interesting, but the execution just fell flat for me.

The ML's unconditional love and obsession falls a little flat, as it is not interesting enough to stand on its own while being 100% of his personality. The FL's mood swings and "revenge" feels very out of left field and to be honest, she doesn't have much of a personality. She's either h**ny or depressed, which doesn't really make... more>> for the best character development.

Typically, I love the trope where it turns out the submissive, meek FL ends up being the one to hold the reins and dominate the ML, but in this case, I think the story would have been stronger if it either stuck to being a romance or a complete tragedy.

But the ML is described as being the picture perfect partner who only wants the best for the FL and never intrudes on her boundaries, which makes it hard for readers to root for the FL's (very) misguided anger towards the ML's family. If the postpartum descent into madness was better set up, it would have felt more realistic and interesting but just like the ML, we're subjected to a 180 degree shift in personality and she starts being very emotionally abusive towards the ML and his hurt feelings are never brought up or addressed. At no point is the ML ever treated as an "equal" in the relationship and that makes for a dreadfully boring romance in my opinion. The FL doesn't make for a compelling avenger either, because she doesn't have much of a personality, her target for revenge is misguided, and the revenge itself doesn't feel satisfying.


If the story had concluded as a horror or tragic end, it would have been more satisfying, but their ancestors end up glorifying their relationship and the FL is portrayed as being the "good guy." She never faces the consequences of her actions and the ML maintains that unconditional and unwavering love towards her.

I don't like FL, ML deserves better. He's the one doing all the house chores even taking care both FL and their baby, feeding both of them since FL is blind, changing diapers, bathe them and doing other stuffs. FL suffered in postpartum depression after giving birth so her mood is most of the time is shitty. It could prevented or atleast won't be worse if ML called a doctor to help him tho he made everything and give everything to FL to help her on her situation. But once... more>> she regained her strength she decided to poison ML and made him blind and ML knew her plans but despite that he was fine with it as long as she has strength and well. And even tho he's blind he still do all the house chores and wants to take care of their baby. It's an open ended novel and I don't like those kind of novels because a lot of questions in my mind left unanswered. And I'm sad for ML he just accepted his fate just like that to be with her. On his mind if she is happy he's happy too but if she is unhappy, he's unhappy too if that makes her happy to poison him he just accepted it tho it wasn't his fault on what happened to her he thought he would carry it to be with her.

If you're looking for smutty novel I don't think this is it. Their s*xual interc**rse is very intense but that's it <<less

The story got premise but the execution made me feel unsettled... but still acceptable for a plotline of short story for smut.

The leads experienced so much tragedy that it caused trauma especially to FL (Dahlia). Meanwhile, ML (Lambert) is really good person who did everything to find his lost lover and later on doted/took care of her.

Sadly, I disliked FL. But can't fully blame her bc of what she experienced trauma and post-partum despression... but I hate what she did to ML in the end. The guy deserved better.

I also believe that the depiction of post-natal depression on mothers was vividly narrated. I just wished that the ML could have received more love as they both deserved to be taken care of. Although, this story and the choices made by the characters also has its own charm.

What a rollercoaster

It's darker than I expected. It's weird but also interesting. And the twists wew. Overall it's good with kinda unique plot. But sometimes I found some parts feels like a summary than a story. That's why I wish it was longer and detailed.

Fortunately, It has a happy ending for them but with some twist and kinda fcked up. Well because both of them have twisted mind and happy with it, I can't really complain about it.
