What I'm going to say is based on my personal preference but after reading for sometime I feel that the author just wants to replace the protagonist Lufy with this inferior MC and modify the plot to fit with it without creativity.
Although I did find him interesting at the beginning but later he is just the cliche shameless type who basically has neither the brain nor talent or even hard working and just depend on the cheat and plot armor to throw his weight around and think he is the biggest genius in the world. I saw this type a lot in many CNs and already got bored of it and I don't think that such cliche is suitable for a 3rd rate side character in one pieces (there is already few with personality similar to MC but has better settings in one piece) let alone the protagonist as for the plot, although I'm not really that satisfied with many things in the original plot of one piece, it's definitely 100 times better than this 2d knock off.
