It's good for a short novel. For me, MC is emotional but it ruled by her rationality. I felt neutral when reading about the villains, Nice and Emilie. The latter is driven by ambition to live in a wealthy life, when it discovered she turns all the blame to Nice. Poor Nice, being played like that. The best friend and also bff's brother are supportive and actually they planned this whole thing lol.

It was an okay read. If you have free time in your hands, this novel can pass time.

Very bland novel. It was decent up until around chapter 10, and it went downhill from there. The romance was boring, no fluff of angst at all. The only thing he did to make his feelings known was to give her a ring with his house symbol on it, which apparently means that he is courting her. She, being the typical zero EQ MC, takes this without knowing and proceeds to wear it like a normal ring while everyone else around her knows, bit doesn't say anything. ML finally confesses... more>> his feelings in the second half of the last chapter and she just accepts, despite not having any romantic feelings for him before then. <<less

It's an ok novel. Not the typical rush romance story.

The story focus mainly on our MC and her engagement conflict. After this conflict was resolved, the author started wrapping the story up by packaging ML and MC.

As I said, this is not a rush romance story. Although there is a mention of MC being secretly in love with ML when young, she destroyed this seed before it could fully grow as it has no future (her being engaged and him having higher status).

MC sort off follow the thinking of women... more>> of similar era, in such that they don't see marriage as a fruit of love but just an arrangement. This is also why she is quite "emotionless" as given a situation where your feelings doesn't matter, it's bound to happen.

Although the story as bland as Jane Eyre, I personally enjoy the story and the romance. Not something to give your heart sugar but enough to be entertain for a certain amount of time. <<less

This story was only a so-so for me. MC was very bland. She wasn't like a main character at all and felt more like a side character or maybe a canon fodder (well, she indeed almost became one). Maybe this story wasn't just for me because I prefer strong female lead as MC and damsel in distress like MC in this story wasn't exactly my type.

I liked this one a LOT - it's not a typical story. MC is emotional and upset, but she also deals with her feelings rationally and uses logic. She is a little naive, but also young and inexperienced, and more importantly she LEARNS as the story goes on. I LOVE her best friend and bf's brother - they're great characters and wonderful friends. It's also mentioned how different people can have different perceptions of others, and how who people seem to be and who they are is frequently very different,... more>> which made the whole thing feel realistic. Very well characterized and executed, and excellent quick read. <<less
