DON’T TRUST THE LOW RATINGS

I almost didn’t read it because of them. I started reading this because I love this author’s work but discovered that this novel is ♥️. I really loved the story and the leads. Both the leads were reborn. So the ML decides to stay with her and continue to love despite knowing what will happen and how she treats him. Hence, it isn’t unfair to him. I just adore Zhou Yizhi and Xue Xi (≧ω≦).

After having been reborn, knowing there's no hope to be with her and knowing she treated him horribly, he still returned to help her. Aaaahhh!!!

It's a sweet, and short novel. Full of fluff, there's no complicated plots but it feels relatively real and believable.

I was especially surprised by the way the novel handled the parents. Since, here, they are the main reason behind the female lead's personality problems. They basically gave her no affection, practically forgetting that she exists.

Usually, in this kind of novel, they end up regretting/getting some sort of punishment. However, that didn't happen here. Instead, I feel like we got a somewhat more realistic end. Where they really did continue not caring much and nothing happened to them. (Although the mom did show a small teeny tiny amount of care near the end)

They don't show up too much in the flow of events too, and are just glossed over for the most part. While I usually like face slapping and revenge arcs, this was still pretty satisfying to read. I'm happy the female lead broke out of her desire for their love and went on to live a happy life with her partner.

After all, like they say, the best revenge is a life well lived.

I'm really dumbfounded by all the low ratings truly, this novel is so simple and sweet idk why anyone would dislike it so much.

the plot is relatively simple and straightforward and has a quick pace. Both leads were adults when they had died and naturally as were both reborn with their adult mentality. although in her previous life the MC was childish and unreasonable not to mention arrogant she grew up and later decided to free herself from her home that chained her and made her unhappy.

in my view, she... more>> grew up all alone with no friends nor parents who gave her affection, and so it's all she had craved for her whole life. she tried to make herself outstanding but it did nothing and later the ML showed up who was more outstanding than she was and after fighting with him for so many years she gave up and just freed herself from it all. She grew up. unfortunately, she got into an accident and became blind and it was then the ML donated his eyes secretly. She later found out and realized that the man she had been hating and bullying all those years had loved her like no one ever had. when reborn she was resolute on changing how she treated him... maybe it was to repay him or maybe all she wanted was to experience the warmth she had missed in the last lifetime. she found herself sinking in him deeper and deeper.

the story mostly concentrates on how she's always teasing and trying to get closer to him and later when he confirms she's reborn too they frankly confront each other after she confesses. and it just gets sweeter.

don't expect excitement or character growth or a seriousplot. its just about how they get along together wth her being super proactive all the time. the only thing id complain about this short novel is how I wish it had more R-18 scenes :P

for a short story imo everything is pretty good. <<less

My entire experience reading this was, "the reviews promised me x, but all I got was disappointment".

I like comedic undertones in angst, but this just feels like the author can't decide between doing a funny lighthearted rebirth story or an angsty hopeful rebirth story. Because the author is so indecisive, it feels like the MCs are from different stories and they clash when they're put together. FL becomes annoying because she has useless conceited thoughts in the middle of serious scenes, and ML becomes annoying because of how passive and... more>> whiny he seems compared to FL's active attempts at changing things.

Pacing wise, everything is way too fast. FL goes straight from "I hated my brother" to "I want to date my brother", completely skipping the "I regret abusing my brother so I'll be a better sister" step. I can accept that the ML has always loved FL, but it's impossible for me to accept the FL's feelings because there was no buildup. Even the one conflict they have ("does she love me or is she guilty") is resolved in a few paragraphs.

What "realistic dealing of the relationship with the parents"? What "the ML tries to stay away"? The last chapter with the parents was extremely disappointing, and the ML stalks the FL whenever she seems like she's going on a date.

I put it at 4 stars because it's not actually that bad, and it would be a great light "turn off your brain, enjoy the fluff" read. The big problem is just that the reviews hype it up so much that it ends up seeming worse than it actually is. <<less

Done, actually this novel is really good. I think there is no plot hole. But, idk that I dont feel comfortable to give the rating 5. Maybe because it open up my scar and it doesnt write enough sweetness to make me comfortable (?) maybe. Actually I think I understand what the FL feel and what she did in past life. It's terrible to being hurt because of innocence. I agree that you cant be a scumbag because someone hurt you and the reason because she was still child cant... more>> be valid cos no matter child or adult it is wrong to hurt other. But, what I feel at that time, it's like idk what to do. My parents never teach me about emotional thing, and I became dont know what to do and dont really understand my feelings. I'm angry when someone said thank you. I'm angry when someone congratulate me. But I become sad when others dont care about me. I think I start to learn about emotional and what to do after I started to read novel and contemplated it. So yeah, FL is terrible in her last life, I saw her in me. I hope I will meet and married a handsome man that will love and doting me without limit like ML. Please give me a little bit luck <<less

A good and interesting premise.

MC is young, spoiled (by being rich) and attention seeking (due to being ignored by her parents her whole life).

She used to let the steam off by being mean to the boy just because she thought her parents paid him attention.

Now, back in time, she tries to see him for what he is.

The translator is trying their best. Though there are small misuses of him/her, the whole translation is quite easy to read.

I disliked that novel mostly because both MCs are in their twenties, either college students or graduates, he is a medical doctor and a researcher and she is an MBA, and do not behave as adults at all.

Also, the FL tries way too hard to win his heart and she looks desperate and unpleasant. When she pretended to be drunk and under that pretext mounted him and started kissing him, I dropped it. No way I will continue to read that.

I doubt any woman or girl would want a man... more>> to do such thing to her while faking that he is drunk (pressing his body to hers, chewing her ear, etc.) in order to make her like him. Unacceptable. <<less

both leads ate reborn. FL tries to make amend to last life mistake while ML tries to stay away from her and wishing her best of life but love can not tamed. FL tries every step to make ML fall in love with her.

I like that the MC have the courage wanting to change herself, she admit that her past self are very childish.

I also admire ML to take the same step as his previous life even though he know he wont be treat nicely by her, he would do it again for her.

There are no 3rd person between them, they would straight away made their point, like 'hey I dont like you, please move on, thank you.'.

The parents not even give sh*t about them because they're sh*t from the beginning, except the... more>> mother, only teny winy bit care.

Conclusion is, MC and ML are both lonely people who get together. <<less

This was so cute!! I love that it’s not unnecessarily long. It has a great pace and the ML is the best. I love how they stay true to their personality and all the fluff. It’s not the most through novel where there’s a resolution for every situation and a bunch of side characters with their own stories, but it feels very real and concise. I read MTL and it was still easy to understand. Totally recommend this if you’re a fan of romance/slice of life and fluff

great story about love and misunderstanding. I did hope that the story continue to progress more, once they became a real couple finally but alast after 34 chapters it seems to end there. Although, both character are adults in children bodies, there love is very innocent in the story as well, no real adult scenes. LOL
