Summary is that a Korean dude transmigrated into a fantasy game he was playing. Seems generic isn't it.
I thought that too but after reading 400+ch I would say it is one of the best novel in its genre. To note - I don't know Korean I have read its MTL so some character name maybe different from what it would be tled.
In this novel MC starts as a weak person and the setting is like dark soul here we have necromancer, thieves, cursed nobles selfish people. This novel shows how people are irl. Some are good but most are selfish. Every person or major character in this novel has a motive. MC fiancee is best girl. And ofcourse this novel is harem.
Pros why u should read it
1 As stated above this novel is gem that is why genesis have picked it. They have based taste.
2 This novel has lot of wars I mean literally lot of wars, siege, massacre. It shows how a mediaeval kingdom unlike jp or some kr novel which shows that most of the people are saint. 3 It is dark fantasy and fantasy lover should read it plus it doesn't have many brutal scenes so normal readers can read.
4 Character feels like real people they showed development and yes some s*upid decision some character have taken. This shows they are not perfect and yes they improve after making mistakes. 5 MC clan is badass. Just u guys have to wait to see how much MC is badass. 6 In the start it is slow but u guys have to wait to see how it pick up pace in the middle. Each chapter will make u want to read more chapters. 7 It is apocalypse like settings so we have main villain and MC goal is to defeat the final boss and know why he was possessed.

9 It has some good action scene and there are many heroic character along with MC. But they are not in MC party. So it is unique isn't it

10 All heroic characters are not female and female don't wear clothes like in jp novel because it is not how mediaeval people dress.

Cons

1 There are one or two mistakes done by heroine and MC. Don't hate them for it they develop after the mistakes they have committed. 2 MC has high seggs drive so he sleeps with 3 or 4 heroine. 3 No seggs scene it is only implied that they have s*x. Thanks for picking it genesis tl. I will update my review when I read more translated chapters because all the information on MTL is not understandable.

SYNOPSIS

And when Kim Seung-soo comes to his senses, it's a game.

The story is pretty common.... more>> Getting into a game you've been playing for a long time. How generic is it? And then I read the first chapter, and then read it again and again.

The writer skill is pretty considerable cause the story flow so well, the description of things is detailed but it wasn't unnecessary or anything like that.

The setting is in Middle Age, so be prepared to read the nobel political stuff, mercenary and war, ALOT of war. And what I like about this novel is that it's very grounded. The characters wear pretty believable clothes, the heroines isn't wearing sexy clothes or barely any clothes at all to entertain the boys, I mean look at the cover, plus all the characters when they are going to war using a full armor with a helmet.

In conclusion, at worst, it's pretty standard, and at the peak, it's very exciting. I can't see the dowbside honestly... If you read this novel, you can pretty confidently recommend it to anyone. The pace of the story can be seen as slow in some of the arc, so I think it is good to just binge it imo. The build-up of the story is also great. The main character past is great too

Just a heads up though, the novel's name is My Villains and it's somewhat significant although not super important, because (minor spoiler) :

The novel is pretty good and realistic (but gruesome). I'm wondering for the guys that use MTL for this novel, which raw do u use? I've tried kakao and it's IMG, so I can't mtl with google translate. Capturing one by one and using image translate would be tedious.
